1- Introducing Patterned Paper!

February 14, 2008      Nichole Heady      Leave a Comment

One of the products that was most often requested to be added to our line was patterned paper.   I love creating my own backgrounds with stamps, so taking that passion and directing it towards patterned paper was a natural choice.

We will be releasing patterned paper each month to coordinate with a few select stamp sets.  The paper we are releasing this month repeats elements found in Everyday Blessings.  Although not "religious" themed paper specifically, it does utilize many of the flourishes and other patterns that can be found within the structure of the crosses.

Each collection of patterned paper will include the following elements:

-12×12 paper pack, containing 12 sheets (2 sheets each of 6 patterns)  for $6.

– 6×6 paper pad, containing 36 sheets (6 sheets  each of 6 patterns) for $6.

-The 6×6 pad features the same patterns as used on the 1×12 sheets, just at a 50% reduction, or "card makers scale" as I like to call it!

-All the paper is printed on a nice medium weight, smooth white paper.

021408_6x6_coverI am really proud of the innovative packaging that our 6×6 pad features, so I wanted to show you a few of it’s qualities.  Here is the cover of the pad.  It features small swatches of each of the papers it contains.  Notice that the cover opens like a book rather than flipping open like a traditional pad.

The book cover theme continues with the way the cover wraps around to the back of the pad, forming a spine.  The name of the paper collection is printed on the spine.  This feature will give you the ability to  store several pads vertically on a shelf, making it easy to collect and reference and entire library of our original patterns.

021408_interior_of_6x6Here is a view from the top of the pad that allows you to see the way the cover wraps around.  This cover will also help keep the sheets together. even when you remove one from the pad and decide to put it back and save it for later!

This is one of the patterns used in the 6×6 pad.  It is a really unique striped paper.  One thing I like to do with striped paper is trim it into thin strips to use it as paper "ribbon".

Here I added my strip to my card.  The striped piece is added on top of yet another portion of a different pattern from the same collection.

Patterned paper can sometimes be intimidating to a stamper.  My theory has been to never be afraid of cutting into your patterned paper and using small pieces of it can sometimes have a dramatic effect. (These velvet flowers from the Air Collection can be found on our website HERE)

I look forward to seeing you all tonight at our Birthday Bash!  Don’t forget.  10pm EST.
