I recently made the decision to reevaluate how I am spending my working hours for all things Papertrey. The demands have certainly increased over the last few months, and with that, less time to dedicate to the whole reason I decided to start this venture, DESIGNING stamps and using them!
I have had to make the difficult decision to remove the ability for you to email me directly through my blog.
It has always been VERY important to me to be able to have an open line of communication with our customers. I have always wanted people to feel as though they were visiting with an old friend when stopping by. Unfortunately, most of my days had become consumed with returning emails, because it was SO important to me to answer each and EVERY one! In order to streamline the amount of time I spend on the computer, this is something I really needed to remove from my daily "to do" list. I want to refocus and dedicate more time to designing stamps and concentrate my efforts on showing you, through projects & tutorials, how to expand your stamping knowledge.
I will still visit both our Splitcoast Forum & Papertrey Forum to answer any questions you may have.
If you have something you are sincerely interested in, be sure to post your inquiry in one of those locations. I make every effort to make sure that no question goes unanswered! Within the next few weeks we will also be making some changes to our website.
We will be including a very detailed FAQ, with the hope that it will become a valuable resource for you that you can reference often.
If you ever have a question about your order, be sure to email Papertrey’s Customer Service. They keep all of the information you may need on hand so they are better able to help you.
I hope you all understand the decision I have made and I sincerely wish to hear from you through the forums. It is very important to us to be able to provide a sounding board for you to get the answers you need. Thanks for your understanding!!!

I think you have made a wise decision, and I believe you are the begining of a trend. As much as we love email…it is very time consuming. Keep up the great work!

That’s totally understandable. And I’m sure the FAQ will be valuable. I love your designs and ideas. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Melanie Muenchinger says
Well, I’m not surprised by this at all, you’ve rolled out so many new things in the last month! But I actually DO have a little email in the works to send to you, is it too late to send now??!!
Bethany Paull says
Good for you sweetheart! Thanks for still popping in with us on the forums as time permits. I hope you’re enjoying your endeavor, not stressing over much.
Christine Villacarlos says
I totally understand your situation, whatever you decide Nichole, I am sure it’s for the best! Looking forward to more fabulous designs and ideas from you!
Lisa says
Good for you! I can only imagine the amount of emails you must get on a daily basis…and then triple that! YIKES

That is a very smart business move. You are still meeting your customers needs, while providing us the stamps that we are wanting, needing, etc. Totally support you!
Loven’ the cake set that was just released and so going to be ordering it soon!
Blessings!

Absolutely! You can only spread yourself so thin before everything starts to crumble. I marvel every day how you get everything done that goes with being a wife, mom, designer, magazine contributer, and run this business. Wisely choosing where you focus your time and energy is how you make it work best for you.
Carolyn King (Cammie) says
Good for you! I have no idea how you business ladies do it…keeping up the business site, blogs, forums, etc.
At some point–you have to draw the line. You have always had great communication and I am sure it will remain that way…PLUS…we need you designing more awesome stamps!!!

Congratulations on your outstanding business. You have surrounded yourself with such capable people. You need to focus on family and then business. You have acomplished so much in this past year. Keep up the great designs and ideas!!!!!!!

((Nichole)) I think this is WONDERFUL! You need the time for yourself. Loyal and devoted fan(atics)tend to be oblivious to ordinary needs, lol. I’m so glad you decided to share some of yours with us, and at the same time outlined how we can help you.
Hugs,
Betsy

I totally support you on this decision. We love that you design and answer but if all you do is answer our questions, then the designs fail. I have a thought for you for the future. Perhaps also a yahoo group where, if a volunteer wants to moderate for you that those of us who use and LOVE your stamps, can answer some questions for others. Just a thought. I know the forums can do that but as I do not check that everyday, I would not personally see them. I like getting the emails into my inbox. I answer what I can and delete the things I do not need or do not know anything about.
Janet says
Nichole…I think that is very wise. You have small children at home and a family. Having the forums availible is more than enough. Smart move!

Whatever works for you Nicole!! We love & support you! 🙂

Yeah – more time for you to create more new stuff I just have to buy. Ok, my wallet does not thank you, but I do.
I’m glad you chose the route you did. When I first started reading the post, I was preparing my self for really bad news, like no more previews/samples or maybe only new sets every couple of months. Phhhew, I am so relieved. Being in a technology field, I understand how responding to email can completely consume your day. And by utilizing the forums, we all get to see everyone’s questions and your replies. No doubt some answers will be to questions we didn’t even know we had! LOL!

Hey Nicole, when will you get in plain frames? I am excited to order some but you are sold out! Please advise. kt

Hi Nichole; I totally understand this decision and think it’s a good one! Especially with the new forum on SCS; no need to have so many places available for inquiries!

Nichole, this is a smart move…and you will always be accessible…that’s your nature. I visited the SCS Papertrey section and found it helpful. We continue to love Papertrey and know you will have more wonderful items coming our way! BTW, I love the Papertrey website…definitely one of the most navigatable websites. 😉

Hi Nichole, I think you are definitely doing the right thing – I too have recently had to start saying no as my life was too busy and we all have family to think about too. I am an avid supporter of papertrey and would rather you spent your “papertrey working hours” designing more of the wonderful stamps we love and the terrific things you make with them. You are the best!
Jessica says
i can’t imagine how busy you must be, and ofcourse you would need time to enjoy the fruits of your labor! Thanks for all you do and for the excellent quality of all things Papertrey!
