So here we are, officially kicking off the countdown towards Papertrey’s big HOLIDAY DEBUT!  We have a whopping four sets to share with you and we are SO excited about the possibilities they hold!  I think I would even go as far to say that they will change the way you stamp!!!

I have been stamping for several years and have made many LARGE batches of Christmas projects.  Whether they were cards, tags, or gifts, I always had lofty goals during such a busy time of year.  The stamp sets I am about to introduce to you this week take stamping to a whole new level.

-They are EASY to use in production-line style stamping.  Meaning you can make a hundred Christmas cards in no time flat!  Or even stamp labels for the 25 home-baked cookie packages you hand out each year, during the commercials of your favorite holiday flick.

-They coordinate with inexpensive accessories.  I don’t know many people who can afford to spend $5 on embellishments for each of the 50 recipients on their holiday mailing list.  Or $10 to create a cute package for special homemade treats.

-Fresh, fun looks & fonts.  We have something new to bring to the Holiday scene.  You’ll love the trendiness side of everything we will have to offer, but at the same time you can appreciate the classic staying-power each set holds, making them something you can turn to year after year.

First up is my favorite set of the four.  (Don’t forget, this set and the others mentioned in the next few days, will not be available for purchase until September 15th, 12am EST, on Papertrey’s website) It contains a whopping 35 images for only $24, an AMAZING value!  And you know with THAT many pieces, there will be lots of versatility.

091007_branch For today’s project, I stamped this simple branch.  It is substantial in size, measuring about 4-inches long.

091007_leaf_stamp I then stamped the leaves.  They are SUPER easy to do in a separate color, because they are incorporated into ONE large stamp.

091007_leaf_stamp_on_branch Aligning PERFECTLY with the branch!  Talk about quick & easy!

091007_center_of_ornament Next up is an ornament to decorate the branch.  I first stamped this fun retro dot center for my ornament in green.

091007_entire_ornament Followed by the solid circular base, which has a stripe carved through the center, leaving plenty of room for the dotted strip to show through.  Viola, duo-colored ornament!

091007_threaded_ribbon To help create balance for my turquoise ornament, I decided to add two brad flags to the edge of my card.  Brad flags a re a fun, easy detail to add to any project. It is helpful to do this technique on top of a foam mat or mouse pad. First, create a slot for your ribbon (you can use the slot punch from Stampin’ Up or one from Making Memories).  Thread your ribbon through the slit.

091007_ribbon_pierced Fold the ribbon over and pierce through both layers of ribbon.  Wiggle the piercer around a little to help create an opening for your brad.

091007_brad_inserted Insert the brad right through the ribbon and into the foam mat.

091007_back_of_brad Flip your project over and fold over the back tabs of the brad.

091007merrybrightcard Here’s the finished project. (Please note, the ornament hook is stamped in silver, and didn’t get picked up by the camera very well!)

091007_page_pebbles Did you notice a little dimension to the ornament?  We made it EASY for you to achieve the same look!  I designed the majority of the ornaments in this set to coordinate perfectly with the circular Page Pebbles from Making Memories!  They are clear dome stickers, all you need to do is stamp your ornament, then peel & stick the pebble on top!  They add just enough dimension, while still being lightweight and easily mailed.  The best part?  The Page Pebbles are only $2 a sheet (15 pebbles per sheet) which equals a mere 13-cents each!  Totally affordable, without increasing your postage!

A few more details about this set…

-there a three additional "pattern strips" for the ornament demonstrated above.

-There are 7 ornament/ornament combinations that coordinate with the Page Pebbles.

-We have already anticipated the popularity of the Page Pebbles in conjunction with this set, and have as many sheets in stock as we do stamp sets, so NO worries!

-There are 8 additional ornaments in this set that do NOT coordinate with the page pebbles, offering a little variety to the set.

-The set also includes 10 sentiment stamps.

Be sure to stop by tomorrow, as I share some tidbits about yet ANOTHER amazing set by Papertrey Ink!  See you then!
