Gorgeous looks with Botanicals!
Beautiful cards, this is one of my favorite sets! Thanks for the coloring tips and video Ashley. Well done!
I’m back with a question; with this set, do you find it better to die cut and then stamp the images? Or stamp and then die cut? Or die cut with a template? I’d appreciate the help with this question.
Hi Cindy,
It is really up to what is most comfortable to you with stamping. Some prefer stamping first, then die cutting, so long as the dies are “open.” Others prefer die cutting, then stamping because many use a stamp positioner. We would recommend you trying both methods to see what you find works best for you. We find that not all stampers are alike. The key is to try new things and most of all, have fun along the way! Thanks so much for your comments!
Well, Saturday got a whole lot more fun! This is another series to look forward to. I loved each style and use of color but if others are like me, water coloring would be one I would like to be more proficient. Ashley provided amazing instructions and I truly felt like she gave these flowers life and lovely details. This was a great stamp to showcase many possibilities.
Very fabulous! All three are so inspiring, but I’m in love with Melissa B’s bright and cheery card.
You 3 have started my Saturday with gorgeous inspiration! I don’t have this set–how many floral sets does one need?! Apparently the answer for me is one more–haha!
Very nice, and refreshing cards! For some reason the link to Melissa Philips’ blog is not working to link to this recent entry.
Lovely cards! Love the different looks with the same stamp set. I’m glad I just bought these at the sale!
Thank you for the beautiful inspiration! This set is a newer one for my collection. I enjoyed Ashley’s video, Melissa P’s gorgeous pastels/layers, and adore Melissa B’s vivid colors!
Ashley,
Thank you for giving us a wonderful lesson in water coloring. It was great to see that we can water color over stamped images and to be reminded that perfection is not the goal. I really appreciate the video! I truly love your stamps and dies and am really looking forward to Papertrey Ink’s new focus.
Beautiful work – I thought the video was really well done. I am excited to try this technique. Thanks!
Beautiful work you did on these cards!
