This might be my favorite of all your videos, Melissa! Absolutely stunning creations! I have several bottles of the enamels that I never think to use & love the results you got! Wondering how it doesn’t fly off when you use the heat gun–can’t wait to try it!

Disappointing. How do you keep the embossing enamel from flying all over the place when you hit it with the heat gun? You skipped that part in your video.
Hi Ginger, Try heating it from underneath your cardstock instead directly over the enamel powder if you are having trouble with the enamel powder blowing around. I hope that this helps you!
Hi Ginger. Perhaps my gun isn’t as powerful as yours?? I don’t have that problem. You could try heating it from the bottom up, meaning heating it from underneath.
I used dots of glycerin to grab the powder. Or, if you have the Happy Trails stamp set there are two little ink splatters in it. Just use with VersaMark ink. 😉
I have thought of a solution for you and anyone else having trouble with their embossing enamel flying away. Try a glue pen…applying dots of it where you want your enamel to land, then sprinkle on your enamel and it should stick while using your heat tool.

Beautiful card. Thanks for reminding me about embossing enamel! I took a class years ago where we used a white chunky embossing enamel from Stampendous to mimic falling snow. We were told to initially heat the embossing enamel from the bottom because is stopped the enamel from moving around. Once it started to melt a little it was okay to heat from the top or the bottom.

Hi Melissa! I thought I was doing something wrong because I continue to struggle with my splatters and spritzes. (Is that a word?) Whether it be water, ink or paint, I either get a little too much or less than I want. I like that the enamel can be controlled. I definitely will give this a try. I went on an enamel hunt when you first mentioned it and it’s still available. Thank you for the tips on your (always) lovely, lovely card. 🙂

Son’t those embossing enamels blow away when you use the heat gun on them?

Thanks Melissa for the tip on the “chunky” embossing powder!! I ordered some in different colors from Amazon. Got one (shabby pink embossing enamel) today in the snail mail and finished up my card for your challenge. I love the look. Your card is stunning…love all the layers and soft color palette! ?
