Stephanie – Use the cardstock negative as a place holder for your Heat Embossed Pieces and a small dry paint brush to sweep away extra particles of Embossing Powder.

Also to hold the pieces while you stamp with Versamark. I use a bit of post it tasp on the back size of the negative to hold the die cuts in place. I hope I am making sense!

Great challenge, Stephanie! I love the gold embossing on the Pinefeather–gotta remember that! I’ve used my temporary adhesive roller instead of Washi with little pieces I want to emboss. That’s my favorite foam tape, too, but I buy it in the smaller rolls with a coupon at Michael’s or JoAnn’s. We should have stock in 3M, huh?! That set is on my wishlist–thanks for the beautiful inspiration!

Beautiful cards, why not stamp and emboss first and then cut out. It would be so much easier and you could avoid embossing those tiny pieces.

This is what I normally do but sometimes I have a hard time lining them up (my eyes are bad) and that’s how I got here haha. But yes that makes the most sense!! 🙂

Great idea, Stephanie! Especially for card sets. I emboss before I die cut. For me that’s much easier to do.

Stephanie, your free spirited personality made this video a lot of fun to watch. I recently made a card with gold embossed vintage flowers, with a bit of ink sponging, courtesy of Betsy’s tutorial. Embossing the diecuts one at a time, was a challenge. Thank you for sharing your tips, as well as some of the ladies who left their ideas here. I love your style and BEAUTIFUL cards. 🙂
