My best vacation ever was when I was a kid and we live in the Canary Islands and we would go live at the beach for 2 months. I think that is where I fell in love with the ocean and beach. Have a great day.
My most memorable vacation was when we drove to Disney 2 years ago. We just had the most special time and I loved all the time together!
My best vacation was back when 911 happened, we went to Hawaii, it was warm and beautiful. We had the most relaxing vacation ever.
By far my best vacation was our trip to Germany to attend the wedding of our former foreign exchange student. So fun to be part of her celebration and see this beautiful country!
My most memorable vacation was taking my kids to Mackinac Island. They could not believe they were in a place where you could not be driving cars. We explored the entire island and spent a few days enjoying the peace and serenity.
A long weekend in London at a posh hotel with a childhood girlfriend! We had a blast visiting the museums and took several double decker bus tours!
Such a wonderful release! My favorite vacation memory is a cooking class we took in Bali during our honeymoon.
The year that I took my neighbor’s 3 girls to the beach for a week. We had so much fun, it was a perfect week.
My most memoriable vacation was going to Bermuda for our daughter’s destination wedding. So many good memories!
Mauritius – loved spending time with my family trying new activities like waterskiing as well as relaxing. The food was delicious too.
I would have to say my trip to Montreal last summer. It was the first time for two of my kids to fly on a plane. And we just had such a great time visiting with my brother and his family and exploring that beautiful city! Oh, and I got to meet an online stamping friend in real life, which was the icing on the cake…. 😉
My most memorable was a simple trip up to Mackinaw City Island, but it was the first vacation I took as a mom. My son is now 13 years old & we go there every year. He loves it & it brings back wonderful memories for me!
Last year my mom, dad, sister and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday with a trip to NYC. It reminded me of family vacations growing up. I finally visited the Statue of Liberty with my dad, a history lover like me, and Broadway shows with my mom and sister who love musicals as much as I do.
In 2008 my DH and I spent a month in France. The culture, the stunning landscape and especially the spectacular food was the stuff of dreams. Neither of us wanted to come home. Thanks for a chance to win such a great prize. Cheers.
We spent 2 weeks in Hawaii and flew to the different islands and had a beautiful and memorable vacation
My most memorable vacation was a weekend trip to a historic resort in Virigina to celebrate my daughter’s 16th birthday. It was nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We spent the entire time being pampered at their wonderful spa and swimming in their natural hot springs, just like Thomas Jefferson did.
Our most recent vacation has become one of the most memorable. We spent two weeks in CA driving throughout the state. We experienced dessert heat, beautiful shorelines, and foggy cool Bay Area. It was great!
My most memorable vacation was a week spent in Scotland visiting our oldest who spent a year there during his college years. What an amazing country and the Scots were most welcoming and fabulous. I would return in a heartbeat.
My best vacation(s) are my annual Girls Get-A-Ways…. So much fun, so much bonding… so many old secrets to laugh, cry, about. Nothing like gal pals … they’re the best! Hugs.
My most memorable vacation was when I was 18 and went to Germany to see my grandfather for the last time. I was there 6 weeks and although I ended up requiring surgery on my ankle, it was still such a very special trip.
I loved our vacation 3 years ago to the East Coast. We were able to meet some of our daughter’s extended family members for the first time. Cousins, aunts, great grandparents . . . what a joy! After 10 days of excitement and non-stop activity, we relaxed as a family together for a few days, sailing in the waters off Newport, RI.
Great release!!! My most memorable vacation (for all the wrong reasons) was my honeymoon at Disney World. I got food poisoning and then about 3 weeks after returning home I got chicken pox!!!!!! Ugh!!!!!
My most favorite trip was to Disney World when I was about 7. I’m not sure how my parents could afford to take us three kids, but they must have saved for a long time. I can remember looking down the main street and seeing the castle. I thought I had died and gone to heaven, it was so beautiful. There was color everywhere!!i just loved all of the beauty which is Disney.
My most memorable vacation was just 3 weeks ago. My family received an all-expenses-paid trip to Paris, Nice and London. My little daughters loved it. The French Riviera was the most beautiful area I had ever seen. So relaxing. Once in a lifetime. And my heart breaks for Nice right now.
IA week staying in an ocean front cottage in NC with 3 generations of family. I’ve not experienced so much laughter before or since. Definitely a cherished memory.
In 2009 we did a house swap with a lovely older British couple we met on a ferry to Nantucket. We swapped our brand new Cape Cod home for their fabulous bungalow in Conwy, Wales. Our very first trip abroad. It was MAGICAL! It is called the Walled City as it is surrounded by castle ruins. From our sweet little bungalow we could travel 15 minutes in every direction to wonderful destinations, the sea, the mountains and hiking, the wonderful town itself. We also took the ferry over to Ireland for a few days. It. Was. Magical.
My favorite trip was a long ride from St Louis to Maine visiting several touristy spots and just enjoying the scenery. So much beauty in our Country to take in and enjoy. The food, the trees, the hidden driveways wondering what’s hidden behind. I loved it all.
My best vacation was our first trip to Europe. My airline client gave me two free business class tickets to anywhere in the world! We chose a three week road trip in France, and we were young and fancy free then. No reservations made anywhere ahead of time (except Paris). So many hilarious, memorable things happened to us and we laughed so hard it hurt for the entire 3 weeks.
I loved our trip to Colorado (Pike’s Peak and area around it) two years ago. Our kids seeing mountains for the first time was wonderful. We hiked areas going up, had a picnic lunch near a lake, they threw snowballs in the middle of July, and we all just enjoyed each other’s company- even though we did the trip from TX in a van!
Beautiful projects! I just loved it when my two boys and I visited my parents in North Carolina and they got to see the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, dipping their toes in the sand and seeing the vastness of the pretty blue water is quite different than the beaches and waters of the lakes here in Wisconsin!
My husband and I drove from NY to California, taking a month to do the trip, visiting 12 national parks and monuments. I loved every minute of that trip!
My best vacation yet was my 60th Birthday cruise. I shared the celebration with my dear friend’s daughter who was turning 30 later that year. Not my 1st cruise but we did so many new things that trip that made it extra special with special people.
My most memorable vacation EVER is back in September 2013, when my now husband and I travelled to San Fransisco from the UK, onto Hawaii to get married and then back to LA and Vegas for our honeymoon. It was such an AMAZING vacation, adventure, wedding and honeymoon we will NEVER forget.
FAB release and thanks for the chance to win too!
Norway, beauty beyond compare!
My most memorable vacation was when I traveled to England with 3 other friends fresh out of college. It was one of the best times of my life, we had the best time together!!
Our trip to the US last year, when we travelled from Seattle to San Francisco. You can be very proud of your beautiful National Parks.
My most memorable vacation was when I was around 7 years old and my grandparents took my sister and I on a road trip to San Francisco in the 1960’s. We rode in a Mustang, and I remember the Redwoods, pancake breakfasts in diners, and the peace movement in SF. All of it was so new and exciting.
My family used to take us to various theme parks between NY and VA. One of my favorites was when we went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. We rented a nice large van and I was able to bring my best friend!
Our 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. My husband planned the entire trip and it is superb.
Loved going to Greece with my husband and 20 peple from my church.
My most memorable vacation was when my husband and I went to NYC for a week. Broadway shows, sightseeing, great food, miles and miles of walking…it was such fun!
2001 when my husband and I went to Crazy Horse it is awesome!!!
My favorite vacation was our honeymoon in St. Lucia. The chaos of a big family wedding was over and we were able to relax and enjoy our time together. We stayed at Anse Chastanet with a three-wall room overlooking the Pitons, and to this day it is still the most breathtakingly beautiful sight, and will forever be the picture of paradise in my mind.
A week on Grand Cayman with 3 generations of family, such amazing water, sand, sun, snorkeling and sunsets.
My best vacation hasn’t happened yet…..but it will be in January 2017 on a CRUISE! YIPPEEE!!
It’s hard to choose…but I think camping in Sequoia National Park as a child. Being a very small girl among those very tall trees was amazing!
I loved going to Napa Valley and wine country in California. We also drove down the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway and had breathtaking views of the Pacific. It was definitely a memorable vacation.
Most memorable…..I guess would have to be to Hawaii. I experienced so many different and beautiful places and things. It was probably the most exotic place I’ve ever been and so I have some wonderful memories ie. watching the sunrise over a volcano and flying right up to (almost in) a beautiful waterfall.
My most memorable vacation was a mediterranean cruise. It was a dream come true to see so many places in Italy
A trip to Italy with family, meeting extended family. The memories will stay with me forever!
Tour de France trip, two years in a row, with my brother. We rode our bikes on the same routes as the tour (ahead of the racers), and every day, had the opportunity to see these world-class athletes race, up close. Truly awe-inspiring!
~carol
I love to visit Disneyland . Every time is the best, enjoying family, rides, and constant entertainment .Cannot wait until next time I get to visit!!!
A memorable vacation for me was when my mom and I went to Paris. I loved spending all that time with her. She’s amazing. <3
When I was 14 and we went to Hong Kong (it was still Owned by the British). It was so huge and amazing! And everywhere we ate I was so befuddled because I didn’t like the food but I kept thinking “I love Chinese food! What’s up with this???” Ha!
We took our three boys to Switzerland a couple of years ago. My husband has lots of family that lives there, so we got to meet a lot of his aunts, uncles and cousins. We rented an apartment for the week in the Alps. It was absolutely stunning.
My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a 2-week cruise and land tour of Alaska.
It was a three week vacation throughout the state of Florida! As kids, we had lived outside the USA for many years and had seen some amazing places, but when we moved back, we were all upset that we had never been to FL. Our parents planned the dream FL vacation and we drove from AL to FL and visited every notable site in the state! It was an incredible family vacation!
Brooklyn, NY. That was my first big trip. My husband and I eloped!!?????
My best vacation was when my husband and I took a week off work and STAYED HOME. We did projects around the house, spent time in the yard, and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery from our deck. It was wonderful!
Wendy
The absolute best vacation was a 2 month stay in the UK. We actually went to some Highland games in Scotland which thrilled me half to death. We flew my sister-in-law over to join us in Ireland where she was able to see some family.
Gosh, we’ve had several memorable vacations. The most recent was last summer. We rented a beach house, ocean front, in Myrtle Beach and took our daughter and her family with us. We had such fun watching the grandkids see the ocean for the first time. So much fun and many good memories!
My most memorable vacation was a visit to Santa Fe, NM. The sky was a blue that I had never seen, and the inspiring landscape was breath taking.
Well I have two lol. Growing up getting to goto my great grandmothers every summer was the best. Then my mom dad sister and I would all go to Canada. Then with my husband and daughter getting to goto Dianey world for the first time was magical. Love the whole release it was so much fun and all the projects are beautiful…
My best vacation was a week in Jamesburg, New Jersey, with my aunt and uncle and cousins. They had a farm, and I was the NYC girl who came every summer. I had to haul buckets of feed and walk barefoot on the gravel, milk cows, and pick tomatoes and corn. At first I hated it because I didn’t like the work, but eventually I came to love it, and now, it’s among my favorite memories.
Christmas 2006. My entire family flew to Jackson, WY for a week of skiing and sightseeing. It was absolulely wonderful!
Besides our honeymoon, I would say our best vacation ever was our first cruise when our daughter was 15, we went for on her birthday and because it was her birthday they made it super special. She was picked to go on stage several times and we just had a blast.
I took French class all through Highschool and my first year of college. All the sights I saw in the movies we watched and in our textbooks filled me with awe. In my early 20s I was able to visit Paris. The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame … It was a dream come true! And, I’ll go ahead and admit that after all those years of French class, when the first Parisian spoke to me, I froze like a dear in headlights!
My most memorable vacation was when my husband took me to Hawaii for our 30th wedding anniversary. Everything about it was so warm, sunny, upbeat, and happy. I would love to go back, some day.
No question! A Christmas cruise from Galveston, TX to New Orleans on the historic Delta Queen!
The trip to Hawaii my husband won from work was pretty awesome! We got to fly in a helicopter & kayak with dolphins…so cool & a little scary!
I went on a Broadway tour with my mom and sister. We saw lots of plays and did lots of shopping. It was such a fun trip.
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Italy with my daughter. Not only was it my first trip abroad but I got to enjoy it with her. And Venice was just fabulous!
There have been so many. Maybe the trip my husband and I took to London this past May.
Staying in a koa cabin at the beach. Five of us packed into a one room cabin, it’s still everyone’s favorite vacation. The whole time we were there it just felt special.
Most memorable are the many spent in Alberta, CA but especially during our visit to Banff.
Our class trip in 1973 to DisneyWorld. It hadn’t been open long and it was the most fabulous thing I had ever seen. I went on all of the rides over and over again, the E ticket rides were the best – Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and a few others. That was when you had a ticket book and when you used up the tickets for a ride you had to buy more. I don’t think I slept more than a few hours the whole trip!
My most memorable vacation was when we took our children to Disney for the first time. Experiencing Disney with our children made it so special and what great memories we all have of that trip.
my most memorable vacation was to Israel. To be in the Holy Land was so special.
My most memorable vacation was back in April 2000 when my then new partner agreed to look for some sunshine on Crete, Greece. He doesn’t like holidays but he felt at home here right away. After that, we went every year and moved here permanantly in December 2008. Our only regret is that we still haven’t mastered the Greek language yet…
South Africa and Zimbabwe with my husband and a friend. We drove from Johannesberg to the Vic Falls and back. It was a wonderful road trip and we have the most amazing memories.
My best vacation has the week we spent in Hawaii on the big island. Our condo over looked the ocean. Such a relaxing vacation.
2 weeks skiing in New Zealand, exhausting and amazing at the same time.
My most cherished vacation was the 8 days my husband and I spent in Hawaii to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Because of his work requirements, we had to go a week before our actual anniversary, but God was watching over us and He made it possible. Our anniversary was 3 days after 9/11 happened. We got back from Hawaii on the 8th. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect and we were so thankful for that.
My DDs first trip to Disneyland. It really was magical and she was the perfect age to experience the wonder! 😀
The vacation we took this summer! We enjoyed Disney World and got to spend time with family.
My parents, brothers, sister and I rented a beach house for a week in NC. There were 20 of us all together and it was so fabulous for all of our kids to hang out. Made my parents so happy to see all of us together in one place, in one house.
My most memorable trip ever was in 1992. I worked at a Jewelry Store and we were in competetion with all of the other stores nationwide (30 Stores). We were in a small city in Kansas and the other stores were in much larger cities. As we closed the store on Christmas Eve of 1991, we had top sales of all the stores by several thousand dollars. Everyone in our store won a trip for two to Hawaii the following March. I got to take my husband and they paid everything plus $300 each in spending money. That went a lot farther back then than it would now.
The one that comes to mind is our first cruise to the Dominican Republic with my three teenage children. It was wonderful to be able to take them on a nice vacation.
So many wonderful designs in this months release!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Ireland a number of years ago. I love Ireland! The sights, the shopping, and especially the wonderful people!
Two weeks going out west when I had never been out of the state before. Very eye opening.
My most memorable vacation took place when my children were young. We always travelled with my sister and brother-in-law and their 4 kids plus our 3 kids. The children just chose a car and changed around at each stop.
We were travelling through Ohio and we got separated from the other car and in those days no one had cell phones. I had all the boys but the clothes in the car were all girls clothes. We were afraid we would not see the other car again on the whole trip.
After several hours we drove into a town south of where we started and there was the rest of our group sitting on the side of a hill and waving madly. We had found one another (thank goodness)
I would say the year we went to Tennessee with my husbands family, we rented a cabin in the mountains and had a great time together, we really enjoyed the lumberjack show and dinner, lots of fun!
Washington DC. The depth of history is amazing. Great city!
We have just spent a week in London where we visited the Natioal Gallery and the British Museum. We also went to see the Lion King which was the most amazing musical. By far the highlight of the trip was my Daughter’s graduation ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall. I will never forget that trip!
Amazing release! My most memorable vacation was in Hawaii as my boyfriend proposed to me on my birthday! <3
Last fall my husband and I along with our friends travelled to Europe. We visited 8 countries in 3 weeks and saw the most amazing places. It truly was the trip of a lifetime!
Disney World wins that one!!!! Although our trip was a short one we all loved it and can’t wait to get back there! This was the first time my son, hubby and myself have ever been there and even though my son was a teen he looks forward to going back! That place is truly magical!
Driving from Kansas to Canada in 2002, it was my kids first road trip. That trip gave them the love of traveling…something my Mother gave me at a young age! 🙂
I would have to say London a few years ago. It was our 10th anniversary, and we got a great deal on the vacation, so it was somewhat unexpected. London was so beautiful and had so much history. I can’t wait to take my kids there one day (my son wants to grow up to be British!).
Most memorable…was going to Maui, Hawaii for the first time. That’s the farthest I’ve traveled from home. It was our 1st Anniversary and it felt like a Honeymoon all over again. He made sure everyday and moment was something special. Soooo wish we could go back again…
Best vacation – 2 weeks in the summer with my Abuela before she passed the following year. It was the most one on one time I had with her since we lived so far away. I learned so much from her about her life in Cuba and her determination to come to the states for her children to give them opportunities here. She was an amazing woman.
My favorite trip was going on a safari in South Africa. It was so breathtaking seeing all of the beautiful animals in their native surroundings.
The first time we went to the beach as a family is my most memorable vacation. Parking behind the beach house and the kids taking off over the sand dune to see the ocean for the very first time, live and in person! Their faces were priceless. Like they just saw God for the first time and fell in love. We did nothing that week but eat and play on the beach. No sightseeing, no boardwalks, no interruptions. Ocean, Sun, Sand, Food and family. We did it again the next year, but haven’t been able to since. I miss those days.
I remember a cross country trip by car with my family. We went from NH to AZ to visit my mother’s sister and her family. We packed so much into that trip, we went everywhere and saw everything. Lots of shopping, sightseeing and dining at a lovely restaurant – so much fun!
2007, when we took a two week transatlantic cruise to Europe. It was amazing to be away that long and see so many new places.
My husband and I were newly married with a limited budget. We decided to go driving through the hills of West Virginia with no map taking picturesLaura. It was beautiful!
When we went to Camp Darby in Italy. It was an Air Force base and it had a camp ground. It was also situated near the leaning tower of Pisa. I’ve always wanted to see it in person and finally got to do so. We also went to see the Coliseum and Vatican City. It was memorable because I was visiting a place I’ve longed to.
Oh, and we had to buy some trousers at a souvenir shop to go inside the Vatican. We had shorts on and couldn’t shoe our legs…
My most fave vacation memory I’d the month we spent in Italy going from north to south and everywhere in between !
Disney World 1996. I took my three children and we did the “Grand Plan” (something cancelled the next year). We stayed at the Grand Floridian for six days, all our meals were paid for (we got tired of steak and lobster) and we had all passes to all the other amenities! We even had diner at Victoria and Albert’s! They still talk about that trip!
Five years ago we went to Alaska with friends. It was so beautiful! We had a late relaxing meal one evening & we were so surprised when walking back to our hotel-it was 2 am & still light out!
In 2013 we had a family reunion at the lake and it happened over my birthday. My daughter clued them all in and they threw me a big party. We had so much fun!
Every vacation has been a favorite. I feel so fortunate to have friends & family to enjoy & experience places with.
Hawaii for the su,n sand, food, tropics.
My vacation to Hawaii. It was the first time my sisters, my Mom and I got away together to just relax and unwind. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting. It was paradise.
February, 2008 – island of Kauai – I married the best man in the world there on the beach on Valentine’s Day!
We took a vacation to Maine and NH when I was in junior high…the hotel we stayed in had a pool with a slide…those pool memories with my dad are the best!
My most memorable vacation occurred when I was 13 years old. My very over-protective parents let my sister and me go to a friend’s lake cottage for 3 weeks with 3 of their daughters. I don’t think my parents realized that there was no “adult” supervision. The oldest of us was about 17. And. . . of course I met a boy. He was two years older and really cute and I just couldn’t believe he was actually interested in ME! This was 50 years ago, so it was all very innocent. But it gave me my first taste of freedom and “love” and it is a wonderful memory!
Our first trip to Europe where we met my husband’s biological family–such an incredible trip and so moving!
Taking our girls to see the ocean at Myrtle Beach for the first time…it was a wonderful week for all of us!! :0)
My most memorable vacation was going to Pennsylvania when I was a kid. We went to see relatives in the Gettysburg area and I was in awe of all the historic places there.
These are amazing!!! The most memorable vacation, hands down, was when my entire family went to our home country when I was 14. We spent 3 whole months there with our extended family 🙂 It was such a great period back then, bonding with relatives and loved ones at a time when we all had more time for one another and got along really well. We still have the VHS tapes for it and laugh when we watch them! lol
My most memorable vacation was a week at the beach in Florida with my Mom, sister, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. We have a large family so it was chaos, but fun chaos! It was a great girls and kids week and memorable for all the fun we had. With busy lives and schedules we have not been able to repeat this week at the beach.
Mine was a week in the Bahamas. It’s so beautiful and there were so many fun things to do. We had a wonderful time.
Spending the summer at the beach in New England with the whole family. Perfect weather, swim and boat when we wanted. Just ideal!
Last summer my husband and I went to Thailand. What a beautiful country! We got to experience delicious foods, exquisite temples and the floating market in Bangkok. We flew to Phuket and did and island hopping tour and ended up at the phi phi islands…breathtaking! But the most magical memory happened in Chiang Mai. I wanted to see the elephants, but I am so strongly against riding them. We found the elephant sanctuary where they took in abused elephants…heartbreaking stories! We got to spend the entire day loving on them…feeding them watermelons, bathing with them in the river and just showing them love that they deserve! I will cherish these memories forever! ?
My husband and I just went on our first cruise and had the most amazing time visiting Nassau, Coco Cay, and Key West!! We met amazing people and did so many fun new things! Then we stuck around Florida for a few more days so my nerdy engineer husband could go to the Kennedy Space center and the NASCAR race in Daytona! Then I took him to Disney for his first ever visit!! Lastly I finally got to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and see Hogwarts and drink Butterbeer!! Most amazing vacation with my hubby ever!
My favorite vacation was a couple weeks ago. My hubby and I went to Rome, Florence, Venice and Paris for our 20th Anniversary. After 20 years of marriage we are so in sync and can finish each other’s thoughts. He truly is my best friend and being able to experience that together after numerous trials we’ve overcome was amazing. We had a blast! The travelers journal came at a perfect time. 😀
My most memorable vacation was a great family time celebrating our daughter’s graduation from University of Phoenix and visiting the Grand Canyon. We had so much fun together!
Awesome release. Most memorable vacation was 5 years ago in Hawaii. We celebrated our 5 wedding anniversary with our 2 1/2 year old. It was terrifying and so amazing traveling with a toddler.
What a fabulous release!! My favorite vacation would have to be getting to take my whole family to Disney for the very first time. Due to so many reasons it’s something I thought would never happen, so when it finally did, it just made it all the more special.
My most memorable vacation was going to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan a few years ago. I went with my two best friends. We had an amazing time and saw some really incredible things!
Most memorable vacation from my childhood was definitely when my family took a trip to Disney. I remember my brother (a toddler at that time) CLINGING onto all the different characters everywhere we went. My mom felt really bad for those workers, especially Tigger.
My most memorable vacation was my honeymoon in Mexico. We enjoyed the beach and kayaking and dancing. We had a wonderful time.
I love going to the Wheatland Music Festival with my family. My daughter was 8 the first year we went…she is now 30 and we’really making plans for September!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Sequoia Nat’l Park. The Sequoia TREES are breathtaking and something everyone needs to see. I haven’t ever seen anything in NATURE that took my breath away more than those trees!
The most memorable vacation was when our family visited Austria and Germany a few years ago.
The breathtaking view from the Alps is really unforgettable and a reminder of the greatness of our Creator
Our trip to Maui in 1997 was our most memorable vacation. Every day was perfect. It was indeed paradise. And we saw giant sea turtles swimming right in front of our condo!
My best vacation ever was when myself, husband and 2 special friends drove to the 100th year Harley Davidson Anniversary in Milwaukee from So California. We bought a motorhome for $1500 in 2001. This RV was a trooper!!!! She pulled a trailer worth $100k of bikes and parts. We had seversl breakdowns and even a fire in TX but honestly without these hiccups we wouldnt have the special memories, hilarious stories and seen some small parts of the United States. This trip is talked about often and ALWAYS makes the 3 of us cry laughing. One of our dearest friends, from this trip, is now gone but we feel him with us whenever we laugh and cry
God Bless and Good Luck to everyone!!!
The first time my husband and I went to Hawaii. I had wanted to go there all my life, so it was completely magical when I finally did!! I adore the beautiful flowers, gorgeous ocean, lovely beaches and delicious food. Just really my favorite place!! Since then we have been back 3 more times and have plans to go again. I don’t think we’ll ever stop 🙂
My most memorable vacation was 30+ years ago when my husband and I took a tour to China. China had not been open to visits from US citizens for very long. The people were so intrigued by seeing us and so curious about life outside of China. Everytime we were alone and gazing at some sight, we would be approached by people to try out their English and to find out if what they had heard about America was true (like – does every family really own a car?). It is so much different now, I’m sure.
Last year we went to Legoland Florida with my daughter’s family. My then 6 year old is a Lego addict. He was only told that we were going to the beach. it was priceless to see his eyes when we drove up.
The vacation that I think fondly back on was a three-week vacation when toured the entire state of Colorado by car. The kids loved the variety of things we did: fly-fishing in the Delores River, Indian Cave Dwelling in Mesa, traveling the train in Durango, driving to the top of Pike’s Peak, attending western barbeque, I could go on and on – what wonderful memories!
Our most memorable family vacation was to Mt. Rushmore! Just an awesome 2 weeks traveling with our camper our West. So many great sights along the way. AND stopping at Laura Ingalls Wilder’s homestead was amazing!
The best ever vacation for me (us) was when we spent 10 days in Scotland for our 30th anniversary.
All the planning and preparation filled me with excitement and to be able to see where my family came from after WWI, it was like taking a step back in time.
Being a “time-traveler” would be my next best trip ever.
A springtime road trip in the southwest when the desert was blooming. So much color and beauty in the flowers, and in the skies, rocks, and hills. Wonderful memories for me and my husband.
Driving across the great plains to see Mt. Rushford with the family!
My best vacation was in the mid-70s when our family rented a Winnibago for two weeks and toured eastern Canada. We had a blast! Some of my best memories were from that trip and the closeness my sister, brother and I came away with is very much cherished.
Cruise to Roaton Honduras. Went zip lining in the jungle with the ocean in the distance!
My most memorable vacation was trip to Ohio with my family 27 years ago. We were so poor growing up, but my parents still managed to save up money every year to take vacations. 1989 was the first year. We went to Sea World, an amusement park across the Lake from there. I rode my first rollarcoaster. We went to Toleda Zoo and saw panda for first time and rode on elephants. It means so much to me now to have those special memories. How much savings they did to take 6 kids at the time on vacation. They ended at 8 kids a few years later.
My best vacation was when we went west and saw the mountains.
Three years ago our family met in Florida for a vacation – we had not all been together in years – so it was a real treat!
My family went to Florida in 1973. It was the last big trip we all took as just our family. Great time! Saw so many things!
It was my first trip to Europe. I never ever thought I’d go to Europe and we went to Paris. I still remember coming up out of the Metro for the first time and seeing the Arc de Triomphe. I remember what I was wearing, what the weather was, the sounds, everything.
My best vacation was my honeymoon in Thailand. It was the first time my husband and I went somewhere alone, just the two of us and we had a grand time and came back with beautiful memories.
My Mom took me on an Alaskan Cruise. It was my first cruise and I didn’t think I’d like it, but it turned out to be the best vacations I’ve ever been on. Between the activities on the ship, the excursions off the ship and the beautiful sights, it is one of the most memorable things I’ve ever done.
My most memorable vacation was taking my twin boys to Hawaii for their sixteen birthday. I have always loved Hawaii and wanted to share that special place with my boys.
The best vacation was when I was 12 yrs old and our family drove out west for two weeks – Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Las Vegas, California – I will never forget it!
My most beloved vacation memory was when our family went to Europe, specifically to England! We all had a wonderful time. Stayed for two weeks, our lodging was free, so had lots of funds to spend elsewhere, just loved everything!
My most memorable vacation was the first cruise we took with our granddaughter. It was so wonderful to see things we had already seen through the eyes of a child! Hope it was that memorable for her too’
My first is the vacation that wasn’t. As a kid my parents started driving the family to Mt Rushmore but it rained so hard that my dad turned back half way there. It was probably another 30 years before I got to see it. One of the best was 2 years ago when my husband and I cruised the Caribbean and we climbed a waterfall on Jamaica. Loads of fun!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Hawaii with my Hawaiian friend and her husband in 1990. I had planned to take a trip to Hawaii with my first husband that year but he died in December 1989 due to complications from Diabetes. The trip with my caring friend, Diane was a time of grieving and healing as well as a time to see the beauty and love in life so that I could go on living. God used that trip to give me hope!
My most memorable vacation was visiting the Smithsonian. I was something I’d always wanted to do and it was SO interesting. Everything was so much larger than I’d ever imagined!
My best vacation ever was a road trip with my family as a child to Maine, Wash DC, Vermont, Mass., VA, MD, and Canada. I remember every moment of that trip vividly!
I’ve been lucky to have experienced so many wonderful holidays, for my answer here today I will say the most memorable one was in 2014. I spent some time in Italy with my sister and her family – it was wonderful!
My most favorable vacation was our trip to Hawaii for our 10th wedding anniversary. It was so beautiful and relaxing. We tried to go back for our 20th and the airlines messed up our flights so we had to cancel the entire trip. I would still love to go back, but it will probably never happen.
Most memorable vacation was taking my daughter to Disneyland for the first time when she was 5 years old. My hubby and I saved all of our change stating when she was born, by 5 years old we had over $1000 for our week at the park. She loved all the sweet characters, rides and food. So many incredible memories.
My most memorable vacations were when I was a kid in the mid 1970s and my family would go “family camping” — a nearby sleepaway camp had a program for families after the summer campers had left. There were always other kids to hang around with, and I learned how to row a boat, and to fish, and to do latch-hook embroidery. My younger brother and I were allowed to run all over the camp by ourselves since there were a lot of staff there and we couldn’t get into trouble. I think about those times a lot!
Has to be a family cruise in the Mediterranean, touring all the Greek Islands after spending two days in Rome.
Still cherish all those memories that our family shared.
(The grandkids still talk about that trip also…obviously it is still special to them)
Going to Myrtle Beach, SC with my family because it was my first beach trip and I got severely sunburned and was miserable.
So many memorable vacations to choose from! The one that stands out most was from childhood, and was a trip across country with my girl scouts troop. We stopped in many places along the way to Florida, and I would love to take that trip again as an adult. My family couldn’t afford to send me on the trip, and I hadn’t earned quite enough for the trip, but a secret Santa (who turned out to be my best friends dad) paid for my trip and provided some spending money. I’ll never forget that!
My first trip to England. I had envisioned this visit since my mid-twenties ( a long while ago) and when I saw Parliament in London I knew it would be a great visit.
we travelled to the Midwest and then returned to California via the pioneer trails – loved the history and seeing, with my own eyes, what my ancestors experienced as they settled in the west
Best vacation memory? A family trip to Disneyland, staying at the Grand Californian!
My ‘kids’ are all grown, and have kids of their own, and we were all able to coordinate a family time together. (Miracle in itself!). We had one daughter 8 mo. pregnant, who needed a scooter to get around, and a husband who injured his back and needed a wheelchair. But our tragedy turned golden every time we wanted to get on a ride. We were allowed to go to the front! We laugh each time we remember all the silly events, and share a once in a lifetime vacation to the happiest place on earth!
In 2011 I went to Hawaii for 16 days with 4 of my girlfriends. What a fabulous time!! We spent out time sightseeing and on the beach!
Hawaii for sure. Want to go back ASAP.
By far my best vacation was our trip to the USA. First we were 2 weeks in Florida. And then my husband and me met my parents, my grandfather and my sister. We went to Indianapolis where she married her husband. It was great!
It was my one and only vacation with my husband of 33 years, and it was our honeymoon, two years after we married, and we spent two weeks in China just after they opened their borders. Given the changes in that country, we could never see China that way again. We were so lucky.
My most memorable vacation was about 18 years ago to Durango, Colorado to ride the train. The ride was breathtaking.
My most memorable vacation was an Alaskan Cruise that we went on just a month ago. It was our first cruise and we loved that experience and all the beautiful scenery of Alaska!
Long, long ago, when I was a child, we took Christmas vacations to the mountains in Idaho, to ski and celebrate the Holiday. It was such a fun, lovely and carefree time.
My favorite vacations were the ones we spent in New Hampshire on beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. So many happy memories made there!
That’s a tough one! It’s either Kauai for my senior trip with my best friend and her family (soooooo relaxing and beautiful), or my European vacation with my husband. So amazing to see all the sites in a whirlwind 15 day trip!
Gee I’ve had too many good vacations! I have so much to be thankful for! Most memorable…Going through the redwoods when I was a kid or going to New Zealand with my college friends.
In 1985, my husband and I spent two weeks in Italy at a resort. Italy is beautiful!
Going on Safari in Kenya has got to the be best vacation I have ever been on – seeing the wild animals up close, riding in a hot air balloon over the Massai Mara – eating gourmet food prepared and served outside – riding a camel – all once in a lifetime experiences!
My most memorable vacation was when we went to Disney in 2006. This was our first vacation in the US, and we were newbies and didn’t know anything. We had great fun and I hope that we can go there again.
My favorite was a short trip to a historic site, dinner, and a play that evening. More shopping and visiting sites the next day. Everything fell into place! The weather was beautiful, trip was relaxing.
My best memories of a vacation were to Disney World with my mom and dad, husband and my brother and his kids. My dad was just diagnosed with a brain tumor, so it was especially worthwhile, as that was the last trip we took together before he got really sick. The kids were little, we had a great room by the pool and totally was my best vacation ever….
It would be when we flew to Disney World w/ our kids. They had never been on a plane & they loved Disney & Epcot. We all had a great time.
Favorite recent vacation was last year with my husband. We drove from Michigan to the Bruce Peninsula, up to the point at Tobermory. A spectacularly scenic ferry ride took us to South Baymouth, then we drove to the mainland of Canada and back around to Michigan. Lovely trip.
We just got back from 10 days in Disney World. Even though we go every year, I have to say this was by far the best vacation in years. We did a lot of new things this year and saw many new attractions that we had never done before. Disney is just my favorite place on earth.
Several years ago my husband and I visited the Olympic Peninsula. What gorgeous scenery!
The Outer Banks in NC. I almost died giving birth to my son 8 months earlier. It changed how I felt about everything. It was a trip that was almost a declaration of living. It took one year to recover from my birthing experience but, I needed to do that for me. The vacation was cathartic!
My most memorable vacation was when we flew home to South Africa after being in the US for 5 years. It was so special to make memories with family and friends. We got to spend precious time with my dad who passed soon after that holiday. Will always keep those memories close to my heart.
My most memorable holiday was when I was a teenager and travelled abroad without my parents for the first time in my life. It was a three week language course with my best friend, and I hadn’t travelled much before that, so it was doubly exciting. I made new friends, saw wonderful new places, learned a lot and made lasting memories.
A ski trip to Big Sky with my husband and son. We had the best time with great snow conditions. We spent one afternoon sledding on inner tubes and we had so much fun just being silly and laughing. It is the simple things that can create so much happiness.

I loved when we took our kids to Disney Workd for the first time. They were 4 and 6 and got so excited about everything. After meeting and getting a kiss from Snow White, my daughter (4) exclaimed upon seeing her in s parade, “She knows me!”
I had the opportunity to study in Paris one summer and afterwards got to travel to the South of France, Venice and London. Living in Paris and topping it off with more sights was incredible!
We went to Hawaii in 2002 for our destination wedding and honeymoon! We flew out our families to help us celebrate our union together!
We had an epic Disney/beach vacation with the kids.
My most memorable vacation was when I went to 10 different islands with a boat. Only me and my boyfriend. It was amazing adventure.
That’s a hard one! 🙂 My hubby and I went to California a few years ago – we went to Disneyland, rented a car and drove up the PCH to Cambria and stayed along the ocean…it was wonderful!
The most “memorable” vacation I ever had was when my two sisters and I (along with one brother-in-law) went to Houston for a Tom Jones concert in the early 70’s. Our car broke down (not loving that) and when we finally got to the concert place my brother-in-law caused a commotion! He was so good-looking that women thought he was Elvis!! He loved it and actually signed a few autographs before women realized he wasn’t But everyone was having a good time. Both he and my sister were flattered (SHE hooked him).
By the way, Tom Jones was truly wonderful.
Three years ago, for our 30th wedding anniversary, my husband and I took a long vacation and visited 9 National Parks in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming. We were blown away. Living my whole life in Illinois, I kept saying you wouldn’t even think places like this existed.
We are planning our National Parks part 2 trip for this fall and plan to visit National Parks and monuments in South Dakota and Washington. We can hardly wait!
You can understand why I’m especially excited about the Travel Journal products this month!
My favorite vacation as a child was camping while traveling through Europe as a family. What an exciting adventure and learning experience to be surrounded by so much history, and to be immersed in various cultures.
My most memorable vacation was in 2001. Two weeks after 9/11 we were heading to the UK, in fact, they started the attack on Afganistan while we were flying there. I remember that my grandma was very upset with us that we stuck with our plans. We drove from London to Wales to Scotland over a two week period. Everyone was so kind and we had a wonderful time. We were able to live in a sort of alternate reality for a couple of weeks and we had made so many wonderful memories.
My most memorable vacation was a cruise with my two teenage daughters. Lots of laughter!
I don’t have one vacation that stands out, but I always enjoy road trips up to the mountains even if it’s just for a long weekend! It’s one of my most favorite places to be.
Wowzers, there are just so many goodies to look forward to in this release!
Our most memorable vacation was the year we toured most of the national parks west of the Mississippi in a tent… the awesome beauty of nature… the ever-changing landscapes… the humor of the squirrel playing on the tent in the middle of the night making us think it was a bear… cringing driving up Pike’s Peak… a snowball fight in July… a runaway trail horse… ahhh, the memories!
My favorite vacation was when we took our kids to the beach with my mom. I loved it because it was so beautiful and truly relaxing. I came home actually feeling like I had a vacation–unlike some vacations where we’re on the go constantly and I’m exhausted at the end. Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing prize! I love this release!
First Disney Vacay, both kids came down with the flu. We spent lots of time in our hotel room nursing a fever.
Best vacation ever would have to be the one I spent in Hawaii! Many memories of beautiful landscapes, warm tropical weather and great food.
I think each vacation in its way has brought good memories…so they are all memorable in their own way… I can’t really pick one out….now since 1998 we haven’t been on vacation anymore..so maybe it is getting time to make some more memorable memories….would love to visit my friend in CA..that would sure be a memorable holiday!
My favorite vacation was one where nothing went as planned, but we had the absolute best time. We live in northern Nova Scotia and had planned to go camping in Prince Edward Island. We boarded the ferry in a mild rain storm and the wind was a bit gusty. Halfway across the Strait, the Captain came on the PA to announce the winds were getting a little stronger and to bear with the extra ‘motion’. He accidentally left the PA on and we overheard him cancelling further crossings. It was so windy and rainy! But it was the best ham & eggs! When we arrived in PEI and drove through Charlottetown past downed trees and powerlines, Mom & Dad decided we’d rent a hotel instead of camping! The absolute best trip in what ended up being a minor hurricane!
It would have to be our trip to Marathon, Florida. Spent a week in the most beautiful house and made lots of family memories.
I used to love to go to Mackinac Island near the upper peninsula in Michigan. There are no cars allowed on the island and you have to ride a boat ferry to get there. You can ride a bike or a horse around the entire island, shop in old time stores, stay in a vintage home B&B and soak in a little northern history. It’s a lovely place!
My most memorable vacation was going to Disney with my Dad when I was a teenager. While going anywhere with my dad was akin to traveling with Clark Griswold it is a memory I will always cherish.
I’ll have to go with the trip we took to Disneyland with our twins.
My most memorable was going camping with my grandparents – I believe it was called Potato Creek. They taught me how to make s’mores and dirty bread. I also had my first pina colada (non-alcoholic, of course!)
My most memorable vacation was when I was 15 and I spent all summer at my grandparents beach house in Mexico. I just loved spending time with them and getting to know them better. It would also be the last time I would see my grandfather and that is why I cherish those memories.
My most memorable vacation was last year…we took 4 mini trips in July: Santa Barbara by train, the Grand Canyon by car and train, a 4 day cruise to Mexico, and a hot air balloon ride in Temecula…which ended with breaking my foot and then 10 weeks off work in a cast!!
We went to Texas in the spring time to visit relatives. All of the wild flowers were blooming in the middle of the highways. So beautiful! Thank you Lady Bird Johnson!
My most memorable vacation was an Alaskan cruise, a treat from my Mother to my sister, her daughter, my brother, his wife and myself. It was the last vacation my family took together before our Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Memories are more precious than we sometimes realize.
My favorite vacation of all so far was going to Italy!! I went with my daughter and her best friend. We met my son ther who was studying abroad! We didn’t miss a beat!!
My most memorable was a road trip along the west coast of the US – taking of one whole month and never to be forgotten.
We cruised to Hawaii about twelve years ago and then spent a week in Oahu. It was especially memorable because my best friend came along, as well as members of my husband’s family. Thank you for the chance to win!
We took our family to Saint Lucia. We loved the relaxed beach resort and the people were so friendly. They treated us like family.
The probably have to say this Fourth of July my daughter and granddaughter and I went to the beach and we had a long long walks on the beach finding tidepools and seashells that was so much after the year we’ve had it was very memorable!
I have two that stand out beyond all others. We went on a photo safari in Kenya, Africa. It was during the Great Migration so we saw so many different animals. It was just amazing. The other was a small ship cruise in Alaska. It was so beautiful. Especially when we took a helicopter to a glacier. It was just awe inspiring when you got up into the sky to see the mountains and glaciers. Beautiful.
In 2001, we had scheduled our honeymoon to historical East coast sites for the last week of September, before 9/11 happened. As we were stuck with the dates, we went anyway. It was so somber, visiting all those sites after what had happened just 2 weeks earlier. I’ll never forget the sacred respect I felt for all the lives that have been sacrificed throughout time for all of us to enjoy our freedom and liberty. Thank you for a lovely week of inspiration. I’m looking forward to having my new PTI supplies.
Last fall when we finally went to Universal in Orlando.
Traveling with a special needs child is not easy so we had put it off and put it off for years and after almost losing another child last spring we said “No more…we’re going” …
and after experiencing it I regret that we didn’t do it sooner.
They were so accommodating to us and especially to her…
our suite was handicap accessible…
we always got seated first on the shuttle to and from the park…
free line passes…
but most especially were the rides.
SO many that she could experience!
And that’s saying a lot for a child who is not only in a wheelchair but also blind.
After putting her on the Jurassic Park water ride…not realizing there was an 85 ft drop…my husband and I were panicking that we had made a HUGE error in judgement…she LOVED it!!!
Couldn’t catch her breath she was laughing so hard when we hit the water and after that…
Seussville just didn’t cut it any more. 🙂
She got to be just like the other kids…
and that was priceless.
We’re already making plans to return again next year. 🙂
A decade ago, my husband won a free trip to anywhere in the continental US. We chose Washington D.C. He had never been. It was an amazing trip! I loved showing him all the sights.
My most memorable vacation was a trip to San Francisco. We had such a great time playing the shameless tourists and seeing all the sights… good times!
My most memorable vacation was when we traveled to Minnesota when I was 13 to visit my cousin and her family who had moved away from Seattle. We took an airplane (my first flight!) and between the flight and seeing my cousin again it was an incredible trip. I remember that flight made me feel very grown up, and like a world traveler. My kids take flying so for granted now!
Traveling through New Jersey with my sister and best friend. We had a blast and saw some beautiful lighthouses.
Our two theme park trips to FL have been fantastic. A few years ago we took our 5yr old to Disney and he absolutely loved it. This year, we took him to Universal, he was 8, and we were all blown away by the Harry Potter areas.
My trip to Maui that I won with my jewelry company Origami Owl. I didn’t know a single soul going and came home with the most amazing friendships from all over the country that I will treasure forever.
Staying on the island of Kauai. The people we vacationed with and the island itself made it memorable.
That’s a hard one! I’ve been on several amazing vacations. I guess I would have to go with our family cruise to Bermuda. It was the last big vacation we had as a family before our daughter went off to college. Thanks for the chance to win!
This summer vacation has been so memorable! Over a couple of trips this summer, my kids have gotten to spend time with all 6 of their cousins. They had so much fun and keep asking when they can see them again!
It was going to Alaska and we did one week on land and one week on a cruise. It was fabulous and I always think back on that vacation as the animals and scenery were like no other.
Going on a camping vacation with my family as a young girl and waking up to 6 inches of snow in Yellowstone National Park in the middle of July. All we had was shorts, tank tops and sandals. Quite an experience!
Currently my most memorable vacation occurred last summer. My boys and I went on a road trip to California. We were able to visit Yosemite National Park (absolutely gorgeous!!!) and on our way back to where we were staying we passed a wild fire in progress!! I will never forgot Yosemite or that wild fire!!
Most memorable vacation was 10 yrs back in kerala (India). The train journey was memorable ,with whole family traveling together and the state of kerala is called gods own Country .Most beautiful..serene and full of greenery ..natural beauty ,Awesome sea shores !
My most memorable vacation was in 2004. Me, my husband, our 3-year-old son and my parents went to Walt Disney World. I’ve always loved Disney and wanted it to be just as magical for my son. We had the best time and he LOVED it. We’ve been there 10 times total and my son, who is now 14, still loves it. And that makes me happy. It’s the only trip we go on where we are away from electronic devices and we can all do things together.
It’s hard to say which vacation was my favorite: I have great memories of traveling throughout the United States with my sisters and parents as a child. One comes to mind when we saw the sunrise over the Grand Canyon—BEAUTIFUL!
My most memorable vacation was 2 years ago when the whole family went to the Outer Banks! We had a week with our 2 daughters and their husbands and our 5 grandchildren! It was so much fun!
Any of the warm beach trips in my lifetime, whether it was CA, FL, Caribbean, Mexico or Hawaii – as long as I with my loved ones, had my toes in the sand, a breeze across my face with the warm sun shining on us.
My favorite vacation was probably my honeymoon traveling through the beautiful parks & scenery of Arizona & Nevada. When you’re young, you’re with your BEST friend, and there’s so much beauty to see – there isn’t anything better!
My favorite vacation was a road trip to NYC with my brother and best friend. It was very eventful. Lost glasses, the flu, family reunion, mistaken for a star on ABC’s All My Children, talking Cats (really there were witnesses). Just a whole lot of fun!
I love to travel and vacation is good for my soul. Our favorite place to vacation is Maui, love the relaxed pace, food, and the Beautiful ocean. Thanks PTI for another great release!
As I thought about my past vacations, I realized how few vacations I have taken in my adult years. My memory file of childhood trips brings to the surface a picture of long car trips, very hot and uncomfortable weather, and deep, painful sunburns. Perhaps those childhood memories has influenced my lack of luster for traveling. However, I grew up as a Navy brat, served in the Navy myself, and married into the Navy. My life has not lacked an ability to travel. To bring this home, my best vacation is staying at home with no need to pack or experience various traveling modes. Instead, time with my loved ones and the wonders in my own backyard or close by provide an unlimited amount of entertainment and happiness. There is no place like home?
My family and I just got back from a two week trip to Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Park and it was wonderful!
I think my most memorable vacation was in October 2012 when my husband and I waited until our anniversary to take our vacation. We went to the mountains with no children and no other family members. We accually did a zip line in the mountains, such fun!
My most memorable vacation was when we were traveling in the Northwest. On June 1st we crossed the Great Divide in a scary blizzard and arrived home 2 days later in Arizona to 107°.
My best vacation was years ago when we surprised our two daughters with a trip to Disney World. They thought we were taking their grandparents to the airport and we said, “Let us get on a plane and go someplace?” They were concerned about clothes… little did they know the luggage had all our clothes in it! What fun and exciting trip!!
My most memorable vacation was the year I worked up the nerve to take my kids to the Outer Banks by myself. My grandparents used to take me there and I hadn’t been there for years. It was such a joy to share one of my favorite places on earth with my two most favorite people. I cherish the memories of that vacation.
We went on a cruise and saw the most beautiful places, every where you looked God’s beauty was all around.
I have been lucky enough to really have had several vacations that were special but, when I was young my father took a month off work and we traveled out west through the Badlands, Grand Canyon, Yosemite etc.
I have so many wonderful vacation memories, it is hard to pick one! One of my favorites is when we took our high school aged daughters to France. Each day would end with a relaxing dinner where we would talk about the day – it was lovely to hear their perspectives. I made them travel journals which they wrote in every night and filled with memorabilia. They are both grown now, but we still talk about that trip!
Driving from Texas to D.C. for a family reunion. We went through the northern states to get there and through the southern states to get back home. The family reunion was amazing! I saw people I had not seen in over 20 years! So much fun! And on top of that we were ab;e to see some pretty cool places while driving through all the states!
My best vacation occurs other year as that is when the family clan holds their reunion. Memories shared and more made, family Olympics held along with golf, wine tours, river floats, etc. Great times for all!
I remember going to the Grand Canyon when my kids were young…just driving for hours created memories with my family. To this day we talk about our trip and I’m amazed at the things they remember.
My best vacation ever was the year before I got married. My soon to be husband and I traveled the west for an entire month. It was great. We primarily lived on sandwiches and to this day, I cannot stand Dutchloaf. After subsisting on that for most of our trip, we splurged and decided to cook out hamburgers at Lake Tahoe. Our mouths were watering, anticipating our first bite of a hamburger. The patties were made and I was carrying them to the grill on a piece of aluminum foil and a gust of wind came through and the patties ended up in the sand. We brushed them off and ate them anyway, but I gotta tell you, it just wasn’t what we were anticipating.
My most memorable vacation was our last family trip to Banff, Alberta Canada before all my sins started to leave home and get married, join the military or go to college. We had the best trip ever! Love my sons!
Egypt….exotic, ancient beyond belief and so unlike any other place I have been. The boat trip on the Nile was like out of Agatha Christie’s “Death on the Nile”….no deaths, but a luxurious and relaxing ambiance. Glad I went when I did. ; )
Such beautiful cards! A favorite vacation memory was when our family went to Michigan to visit relatives. We were so surprised at how gorgeous some areas at the top of the “mitten” were! Our day spent on Mackinac Island riding bikes was fabulous–even our sons really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing all the creativity!
My most memorable vacation was a river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam with my husband and good friends – we learned so much and saw amazing sights. The vacations closest to my heart are weekends spent at the beach with my grandchildren.
A trip to the Caribbean! With great girlfriends and the colors! Lush green tropical with bright coral flowers and every shade of turquoise on the beaches and swirling in the oceans!
A trip to England way back in 1977. We had a rental car and got all around the southern part of the country. I’m a real Anglophile, and I felt as if I had come home. I planned the whole thing without a travel agent or the internet; it would be so much easier today!
St. Johns which is the most beautiful scenery ever & little crabs. Our kids really relaxed & enjoyed themselves.
Ireland! Wonderful people, beautiful country.
My husband and I went to San Francisco on our honeymoon. We were so excited to be married and there was so much to see and do. We especially loved seeing the sea lions off the pier.
Wonderful release PTI! My most memorable trip was during a semester abroad in Scotland. We had an extended spring break and three of us girl friends took the train through parts of Europe. We were in Berlin just after the wall came down!
Last summer I spent a week hiking in Yosemite with my daughter and I had a wonderful time.
OUR cruise/land tour of Alaska on Princess. Our granddaughter requested joining her grandpa and me on a cruise. She selected Alaska and we booked a cabin for three. Her parents, our son and daughter-in-law said they were jealous AND booked themselves too. The whole little family of five vacationed together. FUN!!
My husband has since died and Isabel is now 20. We are moving forward as a tinier family of 4 with great memories.
My most memorable vacation was earlier this year, when I got to meet my niece and her furbaby “sister” – the family dog Bella – for the first time. While I was there, I got to experience several “firsts” with my family, and it was amazing to see her go through them in person, rather than in photos or over Skype.
My most memorable vacation was a road trip with my parents through Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico, taking in the sights of Petrified forest, Mesa Verde, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. Once in a lifetime!
Las Vegas! I got to have my boyfriend all to myself!!! Plus we won money!!
Not my best or favorite vacation, but most memorable for sure, was the camping trip my husband and I took with friends and our 2 young sons. True camping in the rough, no running water anywhere, and since we weren’t campers and had no gear, we slept in the back of our tiny Toyota station wagon. Needless to say we have only hotel camped since!
Most memorable vacation – 1999. Our family, along with our church family to Germany Austria & Switzerland. Our Pastor planned the tour and it was 10 days of amazing. Still enjoy looking back at the pictures in the scrapbook.
Many years ago. a bunch of friends and I flew from the east coast to Califonia. We went to Hollywood, saw the Tonight Show and went to the Whiskey-a-go-go.Very cool!
I have 2…
This year we were able to go to Hawaii with the family and cousins and grandparents…awesome and definately once in a life time!
When my Dad retired he rented a tour bus and the entire family and grandkids rode together to Disneyland and had the best time. After he passed, we went back for a trip to pay tribute to him…love you Dad!
It was our trip to New England. We flew into Boston, rented a car and drive up the coast to Bar Harbor. Seeing history in person is what I loved the most. I would have stayed there in a heartbeat and I would go back at the drop of s hat. It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen.
Our first family vacation when we were kids. We didn’t have much money, so we really appreciated that we were actually going on a vacation to Yellowstone Park. It was only a couple of days, but sooo much fun! My second most memorable was when my sister and I took her daughter to Florida for her 30th birthday….beautiful white sand beaches, warm weather and good girl time.
Before kids, my husband and I were able to go to England and Germany to visit family and friends. I love going places that are so different from home.
Mine would be spring of 1974. My then fiancee was working in Houston & I flew there for our wedding & a 3 week honeymoon vacation. Wonderful memories!!
My best vacation was a trip to Savannah GA. This was the first time me and my hubby had some real alone time since our son was born.
Love this new release – all of it! My favorite vacation was Italy, it was unexpectedly wonderful and so romantic.
Most memorable was probably a trip to Europe after college with one of my best friends. So great to travel and experience different countries before starting “real life.”
I would have to say the one we took this year to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. My daughters just graduated from high school so it will probably be the last one with just us.
My cruise to Australia . We spent a month on a cruise ship and was like an adult camp. So much fun, made many friends. The most memorable trip ever!
We went to Disney World 3 years ago with my entire family. We were able to stay at a giant house and have fun and do something that we hadn’t really ever experienced before — for sure a trip that will leave memories for a lifetime.
Two years ago my hubby and I went to Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels for our 10 year anniversary. It was amazing!!
Probably a trip to Spain. My husband was in the Navy and it was BC – “before children”. His ship was on a 6 month cruise in the Mediterranean and was due to dock in Spain for 2 weeks (that is a long port call for a Navy ship). So usually the wives would plan ahead to make a trip over to visit during that time. About a dozen of us got to go. It was a very last minute decision for me to go (husband insisted!). We had just bought our house and I thought money was tight. I’m so glad we splurged and I went. It was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity. Not to mention we missed each other after months of being apart. : )
I’d have to say the one we took last month. My husband and I along with another couple took a church history tour. We were able to see the places and feel the sacrifice that was made by the pioneers in their quest for religious freedom. It’s something we had always wanted to do.
One summer in the late 80s, my mother came home from work (she worked nights), woke me and my sister, and asked if we wanted to go on vacation. She told us we had half an hour to get ready to go! And we did, and I don’t think we forgot to pack a single thing. (And of course now, it takes me a whole week to pack for a week of vacation!)
I would have to say the cruise we took with our whole family to the Bahamas for my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary! So many memories were made!
My most memorable vacation was more of a road trip for a big move I was making… I traveled with my sister and doggie across the country and we stopped at cool points along the way. The new USA die cut reminds of that trip too!
For our 10th wedding anniversary my husband took me on a Caribbean cruise. It was a lovely romantic trip and the first cruise either of us had ever experienced.
Our 20th anniversary trip to Paris was just magical, right down to the champagne toast on top of the Eiffel Tower!
My most memorable vacation is my honeymoon trip with my husband as we spend great deal of time knowing each other more and I am more in love with him!
Two possibilities, both involving a beach. The first was when I was 8-9 and we rented a massive house in the OBX with our entire family. It was my first trip to the beach, and being there with my cousins (one of whom was and is one of my closest friends) made it so much better. The other is my first trip to Cancun right after high school graduation. I’d never gone on a trip without my mom and sister before. It was my high school best friend and I with her parents in an all-inclusive resort. So much fun.
My trip to Europe. Always wanted to go and see Paris. It was beautiful.
I spent a month in New Zealand many years ago and it was a wonderful, fun filled, crazy trip. Kiwis are some of the nicest, friendliest people so it made for easy traveling.
Best vacation ever was to Italy – the history was amazing, The David is beyond belief and the wine and food to die for! Who could ask for more!
A trip to San Francisco with my mother was my most memorable vacation. Mom was a single parent so vacations were unheard of when I was young. This vacation was when I was a young mother and mom surprised me with trip right after Thanksgiving to do some Christmas shopping. We had a fantastic time – shopped the warf and stuffed ourselves on sea food and sour dough bread. My mom passed away 19 years ago and I’m so grateful we had 3 amazing days together. Precious memories for me.
My most memorable vacation was hiking in Denali National Park in Alaska. Thankfully, I did it went I was 40 and not 50! We backpacked for over a week and it was amazing. The Nat. Park bus driver dropped us off at the side of the road and said, “have a good time” and drove away!
I love Yellowstone Park!–my favorite by far! When I was really little our trip there was forever remembered by a bear stealing my baby sister’s “used” diaper from outside our tent–set our whole camp in an uproar!
2 friends and I went on a road trip to surprise another friend at his wedding in N. Carolina. We took side trips to Charleston, the Outer Banks and Colonial Williamsburg.
What could beat a van trip/camping trip out West with hubby and our two sons. We took it slow, spent as much time as we wanted, and just enjoyed ourselves, each other, and our country: Grand Canyon, Mt. Rushmore, Mt. St. Helens, and so much more–even the Corn Palace.
Mine was my first time to Hawaii. I had always wanted to go, and it was even better than I expected. I have been back a couple of times and despite having been some really great places like Paris, etc. I still love those Hawaiian beaches.
My most memorable vacation was when I was a kid, we rented a beach house for a week and the whole family stay there and play on the beach, went fishing and had wonderful relaxing time. We also brought our new kitty and she hid somewhere that was REALLY oily so my sister and I had to give her a bath. Cats, oil and water DO NOT go well together!
My most memorable vacation was when I was a 13 back in 1964. My mother and I went to Paris and London for an extended vacation. Not only did I experience my first kiss (in Paris), but was seeing the influence of the Beatles, James Bond, and Twiggy (in London). I’ve returned to these cities dozens of times since, having been “bitten” with the love of travel on that first trip.
My honeymoon…our first trip as a married couple 🙂
I won’t ever forget standing at the top of the Eiffel Tower. I never really believed that I would ever be able to go to Paris, but my sweetie pie surprised me with the trip of a lifetime.
2-1/2 weeks in Paris, France with my daughter. The bonding with my teenage daughter. We had so much fun. Visiting all the historical places and museums.
I have been blessed with several amazing vacations.
I would say the first cruise our family took was my most memorable. We had never been in the Caribbean before… we fell in love!
My daughter and I went to Paris for 10 days. I loved all the art, food, architecture of the city. I would love to go back.
My husband & I took a month-long vacation to Europe, one year after we were married.
I got to see so many things that I had learned about — walk through Marie Antoinette’s Petit Trianon, Westminster Abbey, the Crown Jewels!
I also got to speak French to the French!
It was a life-changing trip & influenced us so that, 8yrs later, my husband transferred within the company to take a job in Paris.
The whole family (6 total) crammed in a old Cadillac for 2 weeks doing DC, NYC, and Boston for th 4th of July. We had a blast and the kids got along great.
My first trip to the Rockies at the ripe old ago of 40. That is where I fell in love with my boyfriend, who is now my husband. I can still remember “the moment”.
I think the most memorable vacation was going to Hawaii last year, just my husband and myself. We had such a great time! The new stamp release and adventure sets would help me document that trip perfectly!!
Hmmmm, my most memorable “vacation” is NOT what others think is a “vacation.” LOL We don’t really take “vacations”…. Our vacations are one day trips here & there… BUT, it would be our trip to Ohio’s Roscoe Village, an Historic Canal Town, with most shops according to the time period too; even a General Store that the kids enjoy. It was an Apple Butter Stir’n Festival this time. And they had vendors that sell their wares, usually according to the time period of the historic town. People would dress up in period clothing too. We bought a Dulcimer for me to learn to play. I was SO TICKLED to have it!!! 😉 It was the purpose of our trip that time. 😀
Probably the best was a cruise to the Caribbean with my entire family. So much fun!
I have cherished memories of our trip to Lake Soule in Canada with my grown children and their spouses. We got along well, laughed hard, and every night shared our catch of walleye. My husband quips that he didn’t ever think he’d see his “girls” sitting in a boat, in the rain, fishing and enjoying it!
Besides the family reunions, it would have to be the trip to Italy and France. Such wonderful sites rich with history. This release is over the top amazing!
Many years ago I went to Egypt – visited the site of the great library of Alexandria, floated down the Nile, explored the pyramids and tombs. It was everything I’d imagined when I was a child – mummies, treasures, sand, camels, and all.
A driving trip up the CA coast. We took it right after 9/11 and saw the american flag everywhere….even in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere in particular. So impressive and very memorable. We speak of this trip often with very fond memories.
I loved visiting the Badlands in South Dakota with my family last year. Such a beautiful part of the US!
My trip to Prague was one of the highlights of my life.
I’m on it right now! Writing this from a sundrenched hilltop village in Andalusia.
Going on a Disney Cruise with my family was a memorable vacation.
Climbing Angel’s Landing in spectacular Utah’s Zion National Park and looking down below at what I had accomplished. Beautiful and rewarding. Thank you for each and every item to choose from today!
My favorite vacation was my first camping trip to Glacier National Park. I enjoyed the scenery, the hiking, and seeing a Grizzley Bear and her cub.
Taking our kids to visit India was amazing. We traveled to the north and south -it was a sensory overload! It was so nice to not only enjoy the culture but reconnect with family who live there.
Two weeks in Hawaii…and still that wasn’t enough time to see everything. It was memorable because not only was it my honeymoon, but growing up in the Midwest, I had dreamed of seeing palm trees, the ocean, and hula skirts from the movies for all those years so finally got to see and experience all of it!
My most memorable vacation was spent in Florida. Going from a cold winter climate to warmth and sunshine is fabulous!
My most memorable vacation was a family trip I took to Yosemite when I was about 9 years old. We rented a camper and spent time swimming, hiking, BBQing and enjoying all the beautiful sights!
I went to Niagara Falls several years ago and since it was my first visit, I was bowled over when I first set eyes on its majestic form!
I loved going to Colorado to ski! My mom’s side of the family including aunts, uncles, cousins and my grandma & grandpa all went one year and it was so much fun spending time in the mountains with all of them!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Cambodia. We visited many of the ancient temples including the spectacular Angkor Wat. We had a knowledgeable guide who described all the history surrounding the temples and the spiritual associations. A trip to treasure!
Grand release! My most memorable vacation was in 2014 in South Carolina visiting friends who had moved away from Washinton state 5 years before. We toured Plantation houses in Charleston and rented a car and drove to Williamsburg Virginia! Words hardly describe the awesome things we did and saw there. A true adventure!
A memorable vacations was to Alaska. The grandeur and vastness of Denali National Park and the quiet stillness of Hubbard Glacier are imprinted in my memory.
Growing up, every summer my parents packed up and moved us to the lake house the day school let out. At the time, I did not appreciate how lucky we were, though memories of that time will forever be most special. Oh, if we could just relive the carefree days of childhood!
My Most memorable vacation was a driving trip to see as many Hard Rock Cafes as we could, started in New York City then Toronto, Niagara Falls, Cleveland, Columbus and many in between, I think I’ve forgotten just how many there were and how many miles we drove.
My husband and I recently returned from a two week European tour. It was wonderful spending so much uninterrupted time with my sweetheart. Not to mention discovering and experiencing everything together.
My most memorable vacation was spending Christmas and New Year’s in Paris with my sister. It was our first trip together away from our parents and I was her chaperone as she was a high school junior participating in a dance team that was performing in several holiday parades that year. French was my favorite subject in school and I had dreamed of going to Paris for years. A fantastic trip shared with my sister!
My favorite vacation was a “staycation”. We usually do a family getaway every summer but a couple of years ago there wasn’t enough time to do that because of work schedules. So, we holed up at one of the local resorts for the Fourth of July weekend. They had one of the most epic fireworks displays I have ever seen!
My favorite vacation was taking my family to see my home state of Oregon. We had the best time and it was great to show them the state I love so much!
My most memorable vacation was when me and my sisters went to Disneyland & Sea World for the first when we were about 12 years old. We’ve never had so much fun all at ne time all together. It definitely id one of my most cherished memory’s.
My most memorable vacation is the one going to Disneyland the first time with my kid. We both have lots of fun and sure memorable!
Most memorable vacation I would have to say was Italy, years ago, but then I think of our vacations at Disney World (x3) with our girls growing up and those move to the top!! Getting to see everything through their eyes was magical and every time different, because of them getting older each time. Both of them are grown now, and would take them again, tomorrow, if they wanted!
Any vacation I have with family is a favorite. If I had to choose just one, it would be a cruise I took with my parents. Because my dad has since passed away.
Honestly, I have been so blessed to have had many. But out of those many, in 2001 my husband and I camped with a friend for four months at Panguitch Lake, UT. We fished, hiked and traveled all over the southwestern portion of UT. We had sun, rain, snow and hail at different times throughout the summer. There was no cell service or Internet only an old radio we used for listening to music, it was so peaceful and relaxing. We had fires every morning and night….something so relaxing about starting your morning coffee by the fire! That is also where we were when 9/11 happened. Our friend had heard the news on the radio and thought it a joke. We spent hours down at the lodge trying to get some of the news on their TV. It was a sad end to a beautiful 4 months.
Hawaii. My husband had to go for a conference, so guess who tagged along? Once in a lifetime opportunity, and so incredibly beautiful.
Hmmm tough one. I think its Disneyland. I just loved watching my kids’ faces as they got so excited. I love Disney too. Lots of terrific memories there.
Seashell hunting, eating crabs, water slides, and putt-putt golf in Ocean City, MD.
last year, 2015. We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary, one son’s 21st birthday and our other son’s high school graduation.
We all went to Puerto Vallarta (one of my favorite places) for a week and it was awesome.
Ang
My most memorable vacation is my honeymoon to the Caribbean. I had never been out of the country before. Sharing all the new and amazing experiences with my sweetie was wonderful.
My most memorable vacation was the first time I went to Venice. It is incredible and so romantic.
Wow! All these creations are very gorgeous!!! My most memorable vacation was to EuroDisney Paris last year! It has been unforgettable because all around was magic. I dreamed so much to go there and I realized one of my dreams in my bucket list. It was cold and it was more sweet because I was there with my beloved fiancee!
I’ve had two. The first was a week-long trip from Kansas through the Southwest when I was 13. So many beautiful things to see in our country – the Rockies and the Grand Canyon were amazing! The other was when we drove with our boys to Door County, another beautiful area. They were 8 and 3, and had a blast.
I’m going with the vacation I was on last week when my husband whisked me away from the kids, to Las Vegas for my birthday. “Away from the kids” is the operative phrase that made it so wonderfully memorable!
My most memorable vacation out of many memorable ones was my first trip to England and Scotland. The people, places and food just spoke to my heart.
My most memorable vacation was two weeks in Hawaii for our 25th anniversary. One week on the island of Oahu and one week on a Hawaiian cruise. It was amazing.
When we went to the ocean with our kids and grand babies. Love seeing things through their eyes!!
In 1999, we went to Walt Disney World with my brother’s family. We had an enjoyable stay there with so much to do! It was wonderful having everyone together including our mom. Our kids were so young then. Now almost 17 years later…they are all grown up, married with kids of their own. We need to go back to WDW again and create new experiences! 🙂
It was a trip to Hawaii and then on to Figi for a month. Glorious! That’s probably why I’m so drawn to all the tropical sets in this month’s release.
My favorite vacation (s) was camping with my grandparents every summer. They had a camp and we spent every summer there. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Miss those days!
30 year wedding anniversary trip to Greece…f.a.b.u.l.o.u.s. 15 days with my husband and no phones…can’t put a price on that.
When my first two kids were 1 and 3 we took them to Disney World. It was the first time we took a vacation with just our kids and no grandparents. The first day we walked into the park was Mother’s Day and my birthday day. I was so happy to share that moment with my kids I had tears streaming from my eyes and all the park employees were so nice and kept wishing me a happy birthday.
I love to travel so picking one is hard. I was blessed to get to visit Hawaii and simply loved it. My sister and I also spent a few years taking long weekend trips with my father. We had so much fun taking him different places and making memories so toss up between those.
A small budget and a weekend in Montreal with my sister. We managed to forget all the French we knew and had some embarrassing but hilarious interactions as a result. I will cherish those memories forever.
I’ve been lucky to have a lot of wonderful vacations so it’s hard to narrow it down. One that really sticks out in my head was my honeymoon to Italy. My husband and I waited a year so that we could afford the trip. We had several days exploring and hiking Cinque Terra and then did a couples bike tour around the Sienna region. My husband had a small bike crash on a country hill our last day so we also had the pleasure of meeting some locals (trying to work things out between my Spanish and their Italian) driving in an ambulance and experiencing the hospital. Lots of wonderful food, wine, sites and friendly people. Definitely will go back once the kids grow up.
My most memorable vacation ever was going on my dream trip to London & Paris for my 50th birthday four years ago! It totally exceeded my expectations-what a trip!!
WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!! My FAVORITE Vacation Memory was when the Whole Family went to Yellowstone!! We spent a Week Camping and Exploring and it was a BEAUTIFUL TRIP!! We are hoping to go back again soon being the Kiddos are older and I’m looking forward to it!! THANKS for sharing and have a FABULOUS RELEASE WEEKEND!!
Traveling to Israel, a long awaited dream of mine. I loved seeing the The two Seas, Bethlehem and of course Jeruslem. Unforgettable trip!
My most memorable vacation was meeting my parents in Alaska and spending a little over two weeks in this beautiful state and then driving home through the Canadian Rockies for another week home. This was such a wonderful trip of being together and seeing the beauty of both countries. Such a lasting memory since this was twenty-five years ago!
My most memorable vacation was a road trip we took to Washington DC. It was so fun to see sights in person that we so often see on tv and in print, and to do it as a family was even more special.
My best vacation was when I went to Cape Code when my now husband and I got engaged. It was like a fairy tale.
Family camping vacations were my favourite! We always travelled with a tent trailer on our way to visit family across the country. 🙂
It was just last fall … We took a road trip thru Canada — Banff and Jasper National Parks in particular. The scenery was stunning at every turn. We canoed on Lake Louise on a whim and it was absolutely glorious! The Rockies, the ice fields, the many rivers, lakes and falls … All of it will stay with me always.
Honeymoon in Turkey! The history there is amazing, and the people so friendly. Not to mention the food…
It doesn’t matter where we go or what we do, my most memorable vacations are always the ones with family, because I love spending time with my family…building memories.
Each vacation we take is memorable because we make it a point to sightsee as well as relax, like our honeymoon. However, I’d have to say the time we took my parents with us to Kauai was the BEST of all. This was a BIG deal because my Dad wasn’t really interested in traveling but he really enjoyed himself. My Mom was ready to go anywhere anytime. Unfortunately for us, they are both enjoying the sights in Heaven, but we still have the everlasting memories to cherish.
When I was 16 my Mom & Dad rented an RV and we drove from Chicago to California for 3 weeks. There were 6 of us in the RV. Best time with my sisters ever!!
My most memorable vacation was a 14 day Trans Atlantic adventure cruise with my husband. Our port stops/tours included Portugal, Spain and Italy. What cherished memories this trip holds.
I would have to say our first vacation at Shasta Lake was the most memorable. It was boiling hot & we spent all day every day out in the lake with our boat feeling a million miles away from the “real world”–absolutely wonderful! We went back many times after that.
I loved a vacation years ago to the Tetons with my family when the kids were young. We had a basic cabin (not a luxury version!) with a front porch. We could see the Grand Tetons, and Lake Jenny. Chipmunks would come up on our porch for bites of our lunches. I remember it as a wonderful, relaxing time with my family.
My husband and I went to Hawaii for two weeks and it was incredible. It’s such a beautiful place and the people are so generous. I would love to go back again.
Last year we took a family trip to Europe for 16 days.. Paris/Cruise/Rome.. it was my DREAM trip I have wanted to take and I was so happy we got to go and take our kids with us!!
Our trip to Bar Harbor, Maine!
Our most memorable trip had to be Disney. Our 5 year old daughter has carried around a stuffed Mickey Mouse (instead of a baby doll) since she was one year old. The day we saw Mickey at his home, we stayed up late and watched fireworks. We finally climbed into bed around 11:30. We were all exhausted except for our girl who was too excited to sleep. Lying in a dark hotel room, she would periodically squeal ‘Mickey’until she went to sleep about an hour later. Best trip ever!
Going to Paris for the first time with my teenage daughter was the best. She was grown up and in love with art like me, so we poured over all the galleries. Both of us were in heaven devouring wonderful French food and we stayed in the ultimate charming apartment in the Marais which was just a block away from a fabulous patisserie! It was an amazing time to treasure being with my lovely daughter.
When I was about 10 years old my family and I went to the West Coast for vacation from Iowa – it was a lot of fun!
Had to have been the cruise I was on this time last year. My mom planned it for all of us to go following all of her ongoing cancer treatments. She gave it as a gift to the family on Christmas. She passed away only a few weeks later, somewhat unexpectedly. We all decided she would want us to still go. We flew to FL to go to the cruise terminal 6 months to the day of her passing, and there were signs everywhere that she was there with us. Bittersweet.
Best vacation?? Tuscany, Fall 2015….9 towns in 11 days!
My most memorials vacation was to Disneyworld when I was a child! My brothers and sister had a blast!!
Probably Hawaii 12 years ago. We got really lucky and got a time-share there… doesn’t come up very often… and we were able to take my mom with us who was visiting from overseas at that time. It was timeless seeing her on the beach playing with her grandson.
Any vacation to my grandparents house was the best. My parents would pack us into the station wagon (7 kids and a dog) and off we went! We did the beach, ate donuts after church on Sunday and just got to play, play play.
A week renting a catamaran in the British Virgin Islands with two other families. Such beautiful scenery and great friendships!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Hawaii I took with my in-laws. It was amazing to be in paradise, but also challenging because I was 6 months pregnant and my husband broke his foot the week before. It was still a blast!
It was a trip up and down the California coast on the 101 no plans just stopped where wanted stayed in some funky motel along the way, enjoying lots of exploring time and a trip full of no worries not problems it was magical.
My most memorable vacation was going to Spain with my whole family (6 of us). Trying new foods, wine, exploring, it was heaven on earth!
My most memorable trip was to Hawaii many years ago…so relaxing and it was just beautiful.
My favorite vacation was a trip to Mackinac Island Michigan. It’s a charming place, and the trip came at a time when I needed it!
A trip to Peurto Rico; we just sat by the pool and enjoyed reading all day. The trip made me sit down and not do anything literally.
A trip back home to visit our parents…long drive back with a little one at the time.
My husband and I just got back from a trip to New York with our grown children and children in laws!!My oldest nephew was getting married so we got to see all our amazing family members!! We had such a special time together and are already talking about our next vacation together:)
Not sure if being half Irish had anything to do with it but I felt right at home in Ireland on a visit 2 years ago. Such a beautiful, lush country. Big cities weren’t too big and the countryside is amazing. I would go back in a minute.
Just love vacations, but unfortunately we haven’t had one in a many years. One of my favorites was our trip to Hawaii. Awesome food there and great shave ice too.
My most recent memorable vacation was a couple of years ago when I went to Kona, with my BFF for the first week and then met up with my son, Dil, grandson and my ex and we celebrated Kelly’s 40 birthday. So fun and beautiful.
A trip back to northern CA to stay with my twin sister/family. I had such a great time reconnecting with my twin sister.
It was the vacation after our son was born because we were able to show him off to everyone. Blessings, PeggyA
A trip to Europe with my husband including a visit to his family in Germany.
I loved traveling to Sedona, AZ with my husband right before we had our first child. It was a beautiful place and a trip I will never forget.
My first trip to Hawaii with my sister! Two weeks of sun and fun. The weather was beautiful and it was a party everyday!! Such a great time I have happy memories of it 20 years later.
My most memorable vacation was in the Britannia show Virgin Islands for my sisters wedding. It was truly paradise!
A trip I took with my family when I was a kid going up the east coast into Canada and back down the middle of the country! So many wonderful memories!!!
My most memorable vacation was our family trip to St. Thomas in the U. S. Virgin Islands. It was a beautiful and laid back place full of inspiring and colorful tropical flowers and foliage.
That’s a tough question. I have so many memories for every vacation I been on. I guess if I had to pick one, it’d be my honeymoon. We finally made it over to Europe which had always been a dream of mine. Being among all the history was amazing!
A “mystery trip” planned by my oldest daughter, last year, for me to see the ocean for the 1st time, (at 64 yrs of age!) and to fly over Destin Beach in a helicopter–1st time to ride in a helicopter & I LOVED it! My youngest son paid for the helicopter ride for a mother’s day gift…
Probably my first trip to England and France … good company, historical places I’d grown up hearing and reading about, and the magical experience of travel. Truly a blessed memory! Thanks for asking!
Oh that’s a hard one to answer! Any vacation that we can explore this beautiful country we live in! A trip to Alaska was remarkable- we did both land and sea! Also, a trip to N. Arizona/S. Utah to some of the National Parks was unforgettable! Such a diverse coverage of geographic areas! The Pacific NW is lovely, also! I just love this country!!
My most memorable vacation ever was a trip to Wales during the Queen’s 25th Jubilee Year. By sheer luck I was there while she was visiting Cardiff and was able to watch from a home along the parade route as she went by in an open coach with her Royal Horse Guards. While riding a bus to that home I heard an older woman tell her grandson to remember the day because rarely do people in Wales get to see the Queen. Being there was a truly wonderful lucky accident.
Definitely our trip to Seoul, South Korea. It was during the lotus lantern festival, completely stunning.
When we took our grand daughter to Disney World to celebrate her 4th birthday as a Princess! Seeing her expression was priceless!
My most memorable vacation was celebrating our 40th anniversary with a fifteen day trip to Sydney.
My most memorable vacation was the summer that we spent in Nantucket. We rented a house on the beach and it was so relaxing.
A college trip around Europe with thirty other college students from around the US. Such a great experience!
My most memorable vacation was the first time my siblings and I sent the summer down south with our great grandparents. It is my most memorable because we grew up in a large city so spending weeks in the country feeding chickens, riding horses, fishing everyday, etc was so different and so much fun! Watching my great grandfather skin a raccoon in the front yard was unbelievable! Lol!
Fun but oh what happened! Car got stolen at Space Needle in Seattle, fortunately got it back few hours later. Fire alarm went off at water park in Vancouver marine animals wouldn’t perform too upset. Monorail train, known for timeliness & no breakdowns, broke down over the city stuck standing for 45 minutes. All aside we had fun!
When I was 14, my family made a car trip from Chicago to Los Angeles to visit my grandparents; however, as there were too many of us for the family station wagon, my parents put my little sister and I on the train. What an awesome trip! I loved seeing the scenery roll by — mountains and prairies and rivers and little towns. We felt so grown up to be traveling by ourselves.
I have since had many wonderful vacations with husband and kids and friends, but this adventure fit the bill for being memorable!
Spending a month Arizona last winter. It’s something we’ve always talked about it, but just talked. We finally made it a reality and it was like a second Honeymoon for us! Great sights plus so much more! Hope to go somewhere again soon!
Everyday is a favorite vacation for me if its spent with my loved ones…should it be an hour or a month.
We’re not always able to take a vacation, but I we did go visit friends in California a couple years ago. We had THE best time – good food and wine, great company with lots of laughs and even to a side trip to Disneyland!
When I was a young girl I went to Clearwater Beach Florida with my family. I still remember the sound of the water, the smell of coppertone lotion, and the pure joy of being with my family.
I was in Hawaaii exactly a year ago today! I was with my son and his family, which is what made it extra special. I can’t believe it was already a whole year ago…
Just a short trip with my husband as he traveled for work. I was usually home with small kids and this was sooo peaceful. I spent quiet days in the hotel room reading, writing, planning and was taken out for meals and NO dishes:)
Israel because I got to walk where Jesus walked.
Would have to be Japan with my family. The cherry blossoms had just bloomed. It was nice & nippy. It was beautiful!
My husband and I before we were married had each had a bad vacation experience with someone we had been dating so we really agonized about our first vacation. He took me to Washington and Oregon, I was mesmerized, we had a fabulous time and have been married now 12 wonderful years; each vacation better than the last.
Mexico last year! Such a beautiful place!
My best vacation was my honeymoon in Hawaii. We slept, explored, and had fun. The weather, of course, was beautiful!
My most memorable vacation was a road trip up the northern California coast and into Oregon that my son and I took years ago. Truly an adventure – no set schedule or destination, we were free to explore the side roads and back roads to our heart’s content. He is my only child and we have always enjoyed traveling together; and since we both hate to fly unless absolutely necessary, our best trips were always road trips!
A trip I took with my husband and two young kids to western Montana. It was memorable because it was our first vacation as a family and we had so much fun together.
I have lots of great vacations to cull from, both from childhood and as an adult, but my favorite has to be our Alaskan trip three years ago. The stunning beauty of nature was laid at our feet, and I loved the Native culture we witnessed. While the cruise was fun (a traveling hotel!), our favorite part of the trip was Denali N.P. We were lucky enough to have great weather there, and could see the mountain from our hotel room in Talkeetna! Stunning!
My most memorable ‘vacation’ was with my Mom. It was a work trip for me to Paris and I asked my Mom to come along. She and I toured all over when I wasn’t in meetings…and my work mates came along. “My Betty” was seen all over, even without me! Versailles. Giverny. Sacre-Couer. We had such a wonderful time. So glad I put a scrapbook together for her.
Keeping with the tropical theme, I went to the Bahamas when I was a senior in college with 7 other friends. So much fun!
Definitely my honeymoon! My husband and I spent a week in St. Lucia and it was so relaxing and fun and peaceful. I’d love to go back!
I’m going to say a trip to Canada for my cousin’s wedding in March of 2007. While I was so happy for my cousin, it was my Grandma I really went to see. She was in hospice at that point and as I live just out of D.C. and she was in Western Canada I knew that trip would be the last time I saw her. We had a grand time with lots of family members. I think 41 were there for the wedding, but getting to spend some hours at my Grandma’s bedside were among my most cherished memories I’ve ever had.
My most memorable vacation was when I took a week and spent it with my girlfriend in Idaho. We found my grandmothers old house in Spokane, along with the cemetary where she and other family members were buried. I also got to ride an ATV all over the mountains! Fun, fun trip!
My most memorable vacation was a road trip to Florida with my mom,my dad,my sister and her family, one of my other nieces and my own kids. We went for my nieces wedding and we had so much fun, I didn’t even want to come home.
My most memorable vacation was when my whole family went to the east coast and rented a house on the ocean. I love the ocean and relaxing time, but most of all, the time spent with just family. Thanks for the chance to win!
My most memorable vacation ever was a trip to Jamaica with my husband. It was our first Caribbean experience and came at a time when we were both exhausted from work. Our trip was relaxing and peaceful, and we fell in love with the scenery. I will never forget it.
Trip to Maine and Cooperstown in the fall. Extraordinary colors during the leaf changes.
In 1999, my husband (then boyfriend) and I traveled to the southwest to visit Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon as well as other beautiful sights. It was overlooking the Grand Canyon that my boyfriend/husband proposed to me, and it’s been happily ever after ever since. Fabulous trip!
My favorite vacation had to be when my family and I went to Samoa to celebrate my son’s 1st birthday. We spent every day at the beach relaxing and visiting family. I can’t wait to go back!
We took a trip to the northeast to see the Fall Foliage and it was beautiful. I had wanted to see the white steepled churches amidst the beautiful colors since I was very young. It was so much fun and worthwhile.
I have three that come to mind. One was to a family cabin in Colorado. We had to ski and snow mobile in because the roads were so snow packed. We played in the snow, played board games in the cabin, and just had the best time as a family….no electronics, no distractions. We had a bit of a scary experience coming home when the truck slid off the road (I imagine that is one of the reasons I remember the trip so well). Aside from that, it was such a great trip.
My family took a trip across the US that took 3 weeks. The driving was a little long, but we were able to see so many sights. I would probably fly next time, but I am really glad we went.
I had a wonderful opportunity t go to Oxford to see my daughter graduate from some classes she was taken. I never dreamed I would be able to go so it was a wonderful blessing. It is so beautiful there and one of my favorite parts was the wonderful people we met there. It is something I will treasure always.
Every vacation with my Husband is my favorite. We have been on many road trips over the years and plan to do many more. (Next week is our next one). I love to travel!
My most memorable and favorite vacation was when we took a trip to Glenwood Springs. We camped out by the river and stayed up late all 5 days in April which can be cold in the mountains!!! During the day we went to the hot springs pool to keep cozy and warm. Our family had a blast that trip even though it rained 4 days of it 🙂
We took a road trip to California for a wedding and to see friends. The entire trip was wonderful! A beautiful wedding in the Chapel of Our Lady at Thomas Aquinas College, beautiful weather, surfing at Ventura Beach, visiting and meeting old friends of my husbands, seeing General Sherman at the National Sequoia Park, and enjoying our kids!
We never went anywhere special. But that doesn’t mean that we didn’t have special vacations. They were always coming home to Tennessee to see my Granny and all of our family. For me it was the best times in my life. Oh how I would like to go back to those days again. I cherish those memories 🙂 I close my eyes and I see their faces, hear their laughter. How blessed I am. Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome prize PTI !!
My trip to Maui! I realized that this is the most wonderful place on earth! This release and all of its wonderful products is one of your best! I’m so thankful that you are all so talented and I get to play with your creations!
Most memorable vacation was my honeymoon. We went camping and after 30+ years still laugh at some of our inside jokes about that trip.
I was 7 and loaded into the back of a station wagon at night. Woke up on the way to Victoria BC. From there we took a ferry to Vancouver. Then a sea plane to Cortez Island. A place then with access only by boat or plane. Very different coming from LA. I loved it.
My most memorable vacation as a child was going to an international camp in Spain. My sisters and I traveled there by train from Belgium (my dad was in the military and stationed there). I dug clay out of a river bed and made pots we baked in the kiln, was aces at capture the flag at night, performed parodies, got stinging nettles, went camping (in tents, not the regular rather deluxe buildings we regularly stayed in), was stung by a bee, ate paella, spoke French. Apparently my parents were alarmed by a postcard from my sister saying camp was next to a farm of wild boys. When we returned 2 weeks later, they were relieved to find out it was a farm of wild boars.
My most memorable vacation also happens to be my most recent vacation. We got back only two weeks ago from a trip to the Pacific Northwest, primarily Vancouver Island. We spent four nights at an inlet lodge watching grizzly bears and whales. There was no cell service and no wifi and it was perfect!
My most memorable vacation was a family summer trip to North Carolina. I had just gotten my drivers license and my dad let me drive a bit. Suddenly we rounded a curve and were in a downtown area full of traffic. I don’t know who panicked more me or my dad. Everything turned out fine but I will never forget it.
Going to Lake Tahoe every summer with my family, my mom, and my sisters family has been wonderful! The cousins always had a great time together!
My sister took me to NYC for my 30th birthday and we went to the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade! It was great and everyone was smiling the whole time (even though it was raining!)
We took a trip to England several years ago, and since I have taught eighteenth- and nineteenth-century British literature, it was so fun to see places in London, Bath, Chawton, and elsewhere associated with British authors.
Probably our trip to Sweden several years ago. It was just so much fun, relaxing, lots to see and do, and out last big trip pre-kids.
Going to a lake resort with my family. Those days fishing with my Dad, baking with Mom, and campfires with my brothers and sisters are my most precious memories. The older I get, the more I appreciate those moments that seem ordinary at the time but have the power to live on and make me so very grateful.
My most memorable vacation was when I went to England, Scotland and Ireland with my parents. We visited my cousin in England for a few days and then went on a tour. After the tour, we spent 4 days exploring London. My dad had been to London many times so he knew of some great places to visit. So many memories. I wish I could go back in time and re-live it all over again.
My most memorable vacation was my first trip to Paris when I was 14 with my dad and brother. I fell in love!
We just like driving around and finding a neat B&B and spending a weekend. Very relaxing and amazing what is out there to see.
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Utah with my son to visit all of the breathtaking parks! A very busy 8-days exploring all the natural wonders and enjoying the great outdoors!
My most memorable vacation was when our family went to both Disney World and the Smokey Mountains. Though our daughters loved Disney World, they loved seeing God’s creation even more.
A reunion of sorts while camping in the Smokies for Thanksgiving. We laughed for several days straight and the kids had a blast. It was perfect and it even managed to snow while we were there. Our bunch was raised in Florida and we thought that was the best ever.
My most memorable vacation was the trip my Mom and my niece and I took to Brazil! I had gone about 20 years before as an exchange student and my Brazilian “Sister” was really pushing us to make another trip. We went for 2 weeks, showing my Mom all the places I had seen when I stayed there before. It truly was awesome and we had the best time!
My most memorable vacation was one we took with another family. We all squeezed into our van and drove from Michigan to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore, the Badlands and surrounding area. It was a blast!
Most memorable vacation was while I was young, time spent with cousins having loads of fun…games & picnics
I was treated to 5 star, all expenses paid trip to Italy 3 years by a dear friend. We had a personal driver to take us everywhere. There were 4 of us “girls” in Rome and beautiful Sorrento. I have never laughed so much in my whole life. Truly, a once in a lifetime trip.
The first trip we took with DS to Disney World. The look on his face while riding Dumbo is priceless.
My best vacation was actually our Honeymoon in Hawaii. Amazing sights and activities absolutely took our breath away.
What a great release week! One very memorable vacation was camping along the French and Italian Riviera with my family.
My best vacation ever was a China trip 2 years ago. It was amazing to get to know a completely different culture. It is so different from Europe. And the walk on the Great wall. That really impressed me !!!
I would have to say my most memorable vacation was to Mrytle Beach when my son was a toddler. I loved the world through his little eyes!
My best vacation was to Disney World. It was the best because I was celebrating my retirement and also has my first extended family vacation with my grandchildren and both of my daughters. Fun was had by everyone because Disney World is such a remarkable place.
We took a vacation to New Mexico when I turned 40 and saw lots of National Parks, etc. The entire family had a great time!!

My most memorable vacation was probably a 2 week trip my husband and I made to Japan in 1975. We traveled on our own, using public transportation and staying at ryokans. Everything was so very different and not always easy, but we loved the culture, learned a lot and met some lovely people.
My most memorable vacation was spending the summer in Europe after graduating from college. I was so broke, but it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
My most memorable vacation was leaving home in my 20s and spending 3 weeks in Canada on my way to the UK. Wonderful scenery and a fabulous experience!
Probably 2008 when we spent 3 weeks in France and Spain. Each city we visited had a unique personality and wonderful food to enjoy! Part of that trip involved two nights in Nice where I spent one afternoon strolling and observing on that beach walkway. It’s heart-breaking news today…
Italy, especially Venice – Italians really know how to live!!!
My best vacation was to Cancun Mexico, we went to Chichen Itza Ruins. It was so unbelievable to see one of the tenth wonders of the world.
My husband and I took our boys to Europe in 2008, and we still love to reminisce about so many special moments. I have a picture of my boys smiling on the Place d’Anglaise, and it breaks my heart to think of Nice this week.
In 1993 we took our 3 girls, 2 nieces, my parents and a cousin on a camping trip thru PA. We went to Hersey, Gettysburg and other places. The scenery was awesome. Gettysburg broke my heart. Went whitewater rafting, I fell out of the raft and went under…scary stuff and still have my breath taken away whenever I see someone rafting in rushing waters!!! On the return home our transmission was starting to go, and we babied the van hoping we would make it before it finally went! It is the one vacation our girls still talk about!!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Cape Cod because the entire extended family was able to go and we rented little cottages near one another.
I would say my most memorable vacation was when our family went to Disneyworld and on the Disney cruise. So much fun and relaxing times – especially loved the night parade at Epcot.
My most memorable vacation was many years ago our family spent a week camping at Disney World’s Fort Wilderness. Our kids were young and even my mother-in-law went along. We have such good memories of driving down in a rented motorhome. Ah those were the days! Now we have grandchildren older than our kids were on that trip!
My most memorable vacation was with my family in Hawaii. It was the most relaxing place ever!
The best vacation ever was last year when we rented a Lodge with several other family and friends. We simply hung out, cooked/ate and were blessed by the fellowship while watching the kids swim at the lakeside…Great memories!!
Over the years, most of our vacation time has been spent visiting family. But last summer we took a 9-day road trip for our 30th anniversary. We did visit family for a couple of days, but the rest was spent going back to the place where we honeymooned and just relaxing and having a good time. Thanks for the chance to win a fantastic gift certificate!
My husband and I took a two week vacation to Nova Scotia a few years back. It was one of the most relaxing vacations I have had and it was the warm and friendly Nova Scotians that we met, that made it a vacation to remember.
My trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico was my most memorable vacation which was with my husband. We drove our van on the back roads and it was quite an adventure driving on the rocky roads. But the ocean and beaches were so beautiful. We met our friends and had a blast staying in a beautiful hotel with a balcony overlooking the beach.
The most memorable vacation was the one I just took to drive the Pacific Coast Highway in CA. Big Sur was awe-inspiring.
My best vacations are spent with family–our 4 daughters, their husbands and all of our grand children on Sanibel Island. We spend a week together at the beach, collecting shells, swimming, playing games, and making memories that last forever!
Oh a hard question…probably our trip to the Norwegian Arctic. Stunning scenery and to see the huge smile on my husband’s face after planning the trip for ages…priceless!
The first family trip to Disneyland was fabulous, relaxing and fun.
My most memorable vacation was when we took my daughter to Disney World. It was 2011 and she had no idea. We picked her up from school and drove to Buffalo. We told her that her dad had a follow up visit from Lasik eye surgery. We then surprised her when we were eating at the Cheesecake Factory with the news! She also got another surprise because my sister and niece met us at the airport and went along with us. My mother went along with us as well and I am so grateful for that because she passed away three years later. That was our last family vacation.
Disney World when my children were young. It was so much fun watching them enjoy themselves. It was a great experience for our family.
My best vacation was when I was little and we went to visit relatives in Florida. They woke me up to see a flower that only bloomed at night! It was beautiful, but I think I was more excited of the fact that I got to get up so late at night!! lol!
Growing up every year we went to a family camp, with several other families and stayed in a big beach cabin. We’d go swimming every day and build bonfires every night. Some of my fondest memories are there.
Any vacation with my sweetie is THE best! Always!
My favorite vacation is when my family went to DisneyWorld with my sister and her family and my cousin and her family. It was so much fun being with family on this trip.
My favorite vacation was going to Scotland for my daughter’s wedding. I learned so much about the culture of this fabulous country.
My best vacation ever was a family trip to Disneyland because both kids were old enough (and tall enough) to do all the rides. We all had so much fun!
I have had many wonderful vacations. There are two vacations that are especially memorable. The first is the last vacation spent with my grandparents on their ranch in Montana when I was a kid, my grandfather passed away a few months later. The second was the last vacation spent with my mom. My brother and I took our mom to Montana for her last visit to our grandparent’s ranch. We also visited her three brothers and one of her sisters. Although it was a short vacation, it was a very pleasant visit!
My favorite vacation was going to Scotland for my daughter’s wedding. I learned so much about the culture of this fabulous country.
I had a very memorable vacation last year with my family in Hawaii. Our son, who lives there, took us to all the most beautiful spots–some not the typical tourist places.
Ah, definitely the best was with the family all together on a visit to Cape Cod! Wonderful memories!
First, I LOVE PTI and this fabulous new release. My most memorable family vacation was the first time my parents took me to Disney World. Who wouldn’t LOVE that precious memory? AND…it was a time when my parents were still together and in love, so a very happy family memory.
Karen
We drove from PA to Key west Florida. We made stops along the way–Kennedy space center–Disney World–Miami (to get good Cuban food)–once in Key West we spent a week there–took a sea plane to Dry Tortugas–what a great trip!!!!!!
I’ve loved every single trip I’ve made to the USA … each has been so special because of the amazing natural wonders and the wonderfully welcoming people … in about 30 states so far! Looking forward to the next time! Anita 🙂
My most memorable vacation was a week at the Outer Banks with all my sisters and their husbands, and some of my nieces and nephews. My husband had some major medical bills at the time and we never could have afforded to go. My sisters arranged and paid for everything and then surprised us by telling us we had a free vacation. I love OBX, but my family is what made it magical!
My most memorable is buy first tricot Italy. I spent the summer with my good friend and her family in a small village in Tuscany. I was just turning eighteen, and it was a wonderful experience for my first time out of the United Staes, other than a brief trip into Mexico.
Far too many memorable vacations and moments of bliss spent, but here’s one: I grew up in a small village in the south of France and as a little girl, during the summer, we (the entire family) would hop in our van and drive down the French Riviera coast until we would end up in Italy. Wee would stop at every single beach along the way, swim for 10-15 minutes and then jump back in the car until we “rinsed and repeated” at the next stop! 😉
I’d say the year our youngest child turned one. We celebrated her early September birthday at the beach with many of my husbands side of the family all in the same cottage. It was quite memorable. (She’s now 28!)
Around 1993, we took our 6 year old son to Sea World and Disney for the first (and only) time. After our first day at Sea World, we went to check into our hotel and realized my husband had lost his wallet somewhere at Sea World. All of our vacation cash was in his wallet. Sea World was closing, but they allowed us in, and and we rushed back to the last ride we had been on. The employees were exceptionally nice. The wallet had fallen into the seat and been picked up and turned in – intact – by a very nice stranger. We were so blessed to enjoy a once in a lifetime vacation unmarred by a potential significant loss of funds. There are many good people out there, and we should always remember to celebrate that fact.
Paris! My husband surprised me on Christmas with tickets and luggage for our 10yr Anniversary the following March. He also invited my parents and we all had a fabulous time! Unforgettable!
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Hawaii-it was fun and a very carefree time in my life.
My most memorable vacation occurred after I studied in Israel during college. I flew to Europe, this Ohio girl who had only been to 6 states, bought a Eurail pass, and visited by train wherever I wanted: the British Museum in London, Loch Ness in Scotland, the Alps, my German penpal, 7 countries in all. My favorite place to sleep was a hayloft with h newborn kittens in a Swiss barn in the mountains! This release is the best ever.
I’ve been fortunate enough to have many special vacation memories with family. Empire, Michigan I think stands out for much of the family because of the beach, park, wonderful small town. We love it up there.
My most memorable vacation was visiting Europe with my parents. It was such a great trip and the time spent with my family was priceless.
My most memorable vacation was about 6 years ago my husband and I took a trip to Portugal. We spent some time in Lisbon and then rented a car and drove down to the south, stopping at various small towns/fishing villages. The people are not outwardly friendly but are real and welcoming. The country is beautiful and hopefully more visitors will go and spend some money there. They need it and the food is fresh and amazing – esp if you enjoy seafood. One of the highlights is Porto. Got to sample quite a number of ports at the different wineries.
A memorable family vacation was when our youngest graduated from college and we took the family to the Big Island of Hawaii after his graduation. Our 2 daughters were married but it was before kids. The last time to do only adult activities while on vacation!
Gorgeous cards. My vacation I loved was in Florida with my family. It was time just with them and I truly enjoyed that.
My most memorable vacation was to Costa Rica. We left incredibly cold weather in Canada and arrived to amazing heat. We went hiking, checked the volcano, rainforests, cloud forest, had incredible coffee. The highlight was ziplining through the rainforest! It was a trip to remember. I can’t wait to take my kids there for them to experience it.
I would say the time I went to Arizona for a family reunion and it just so happened to coincide with a popular stamp convention. This was the first convention I’ve ever been to and I had a ball…needless to say the family didn’t see much of me during the day activities.
My most memorable vacation was a trip to Hawaii with my mom and brother, because it was one of the most adventurous trip we had ever done, and we had an amazing time.
Our Disney vacations in 2013 and 2014. Both were truly magical. We all had so much fun and ate the most delicious food there. Thanks to the 50,000 pictures I took and scrapped, none of us will ever forget it!
i’m actually hoping it’s our upcoming family reunion cruise in december!
In 2005 my extended family went to Frutigen, Switzerland for two weeks! We were three generations! It was so fun to troop around through the castles, up the alps and go to dinner together! The cousins played at many playground, ate loads of chocolate and bread! Wonderful memories!
My favorite place to vacation is Riviera Maya, Mexico. On one visit we swam in the underground rivers – an amazing, very memorable experience!
We have had many wonderful vacations. My most memorable was in 1994. Our three young children, my husband, and his mom and dad flew to Norway to celebrate our niece’s graduation. Seven people and eleven suitcases all arrived safely. We visited many beautiful places. My memory is of my dear father-in-law and my three year old son at a Sardine Canning Museum. The children were allowed to put sardines on a skewer to be smoked. My son looked up at his grandpa and said, “I like my sardine, can I keep it?” Grandpa tenderly took the sardine, wrapped it in his hankerchief and put it in his pocket. Now that’s love!
My most memorable vacation was when went to NC for a family reunion. We stayed on the beach and had amazing food. It was very relaxing and fun.
We joined our daughter who was studying aboard in Greece. She did all the planning and acted as tour guide for us. We went to Santorini and just totally relaxed.
A few years back we got in the car and drove and drove all over the US. 7 weeks and 10,000. We stopped where and when we wanted. It was the best trip and we had so much fun we did it again the next year.
My most memorable vacation was traveling with my entire family in a house boat on the Mississippi River. We stopped at deserted beaches each day and dived and swam from the houseboat too. We all loved it so much that we did it again a couple years later. I must say though that my honeymoon in Maui was a high ranking favorite too! 🙂
My most memorable vacation, was when we went to the Netherlands. We got to tour Corrie Ten Boom’s house! It was worth every penny :). Thanks for the generous prize!!!
One of my most memorable vacations was when my mom and I took my little niece to Discovery Cove in Florida and I got to fulfill a lifelong dream and swim with the Dolphins!!!! It was so much fun and I would love to go back and take my nephew.
My most memorable vacation was just last Christmas when we went and stayed with my sister & some friends at a beach house in Torquay, Australia – the gorgeous location & great company made for a fabulous time.
We spent 3 weeks in Italy a few years ago and it was magical. All the places we visited were so romantic. We still talk about many of those experiences.
My most memorable vacation was with my parents, when I was 6 years old. My parents took me hiking in the mountains in Central Asia, and I still vividly remember the breathtaking beauty of those mountains, the air, the grass, the trees… It felt like heaven, and still does – in my heart…
My most memorable vacation was our trip on a Disney Cruise in Europe. It went to Normandy and Nice in France. We got our passports stolen in Barcelona, Spain.
A crazy snow-filled-in-April trip to study Revolutionary War history in Philly and the Boston area. 🙂
Disney World with my husband and 3 kids. We went in October. Not packed and too hot (a little muggy. Spent a day in each place and had a blast!
Our cruise to the Bahamas and USVI for my in-laws 50th anniversary. It was our first and only vacation with all of my husband’s family. Great fun!
15th anniversary trip to Hawaii. Awesome, beautiful, fun, amazing, and I want to go back!
I’ve had two really memorable vacations. Two years in a row, when I was single, I did long road trips (about 4000 miles) by myself. I was going to a conference each year but didn’t want to just fly in and see only that city’s downtown area so I ended up driving to and from, each trip almost three weeks long. They were great trips!
My most memorable vacation was to Europe two years ago. I finally got to see England, a lifelong dream!
Any of our ocean beach vacations. Can’t get enough of lying on a beach listening to the waves.
Most memorable would be the time I surprised my fiancé (now husband of 26 years) in London, after he had completed a walking trip in Southern England. We lived in NYC & it was a last minute idea, and boy, was he surprised! It was so exciting to organize & we had a wonderful time.
My family went to the mountains several times, and each of those vacations holds a special memory for me. My favorite, however, was camping with my extended family in RVs. We had a great time and still talk about the memories now – all grown up with kids of our own!
That is a tough one! I’ve been on many very memorable and fun vacations with great people. My most memorable I would have to say is when I went to London. It was partially a school thing but also a vacation. I went by myself. It was scary and fantastic all at the same time! Loved it!
My first trip to Carrillon Beach FL. There were the most shells on the beach than I’ve ever seen. My husband and I spent the whole week relaxing and beach combing for shells. It was a blast.
My husband and I took our three nephews to Disneyland. We don’t have children and we had such a wonderful time with them. Their mom, my sister passed away when they were quite young and it was a special time we shared with them in honor of their mother. They had a phot of their mom at Disneyland and they wanted to recreate the picture with the three of them sitting where their mom had sat many years before. Such a moving sight. I love them so much.
I would say the first time that I visited the Redwoods. It was so peaceful there.
Lovely release!
One summer we went out west and drove parts of Route 66 – it was quite an experience! 🙂
I love reading about everyone’s memorable vacations! 🙂 My most memorable vacation was to Seattle with my mom right before my daughter was born. It was our first ever mom and daughter alone vacation together!
I think it has to be first time we took our daughter to London. She was seven years old but was in absolute awe of the experience and the place. Our hotel was just across the river from Parliament and Big Ben. She sat in the seat tucked into the tall window of our room and drew pictures and wrote little notes for hours. Watching her entranced by something she felt so attached to, was magical.
My most memorable vacation was my honeymoon in Costa Rica! It’s a gorgeous country and I would love to visit there again.
Hard question to answer as our family has made wonderful memories wherever we’ve traveled. Will pick our time in Turkey with dear friends whose extended family treated us as their own. We all realized we are more alike than different despite speaking a mix of French, Turkish and English. Being immersed in the culture, family life and seeing the country through the eyes of locals made a positive impact on our lives. So we pray for the Turkish people, for their safety and security. Thanks for the generous giveaway and for your inspirational and encouraging stamp designs. Blessings to all of you.
My dad moved to WA after my mom passed away and my daughter & I flew out to visit him about once a year. On our second trip out we met him in Seattle where he rented a limo & driver and took us on a tour of the city. Later we took the ferry to the San Juan islands and had a fabulous time. A cherished memory for all of us.
Our family vacation to Captiva Island was a great trip – my little grandson made it extra special! Looking forward to doing in again next year – this time with my granddaughter, too!
My most memorable vacation was a Baltic cruise I took with my extended family. I had everything I like in a vacation… family, down time, visiting places I’ve always wanted to see.
My favorite vacation was 3 weeks in London. So many wonderful things to do and places to see- and so many happy memories!
It would be a toss up between my honeymoon and my senior college sprinbreak with my roommates, that was the first time I had ever been out of the country and it really opened my eyes to so much more… It was incredible and enlightening!
About 30 years ago, my mother (who is no longer with us) my daughter and myself traveled to Scotland, my mothers birthplace, to let her see once again her beautiful country and to share with us what she remembered it to be.
We also traveled to England to visit relatives and had a fabulous time, wonderful memories to have.
Honeymoon trip to Yellowstone National Park. I had been many times before but my husband had not and the look of awe on his face day after day was priceless.
During a trip to France, we visited the U.S. War Memorial on Normandy Beach. It was breathtaking and magnificent. It seemed to have an atmosphere all its own.
In my youth, my family would spend several weeks at our cottage. All the aunts and uncles would pick a different week for their family, but then at the end of the summer, we would all go back for a fun filled whole family day. This went on for many many years until all us kids grew up and started having families. The cottage was sold at that point. From then on we would have reunions at my Dad’s house each summer. Great times!!!
Has to be our road trip in the south west corner of Western Australia! The beaches are pristine and the sand is so white! Not to mention the many wineries along the way. Beautiful scenery. 🙂
although it was basically a work trip with a couple of days a week free time, my visit to Australia was the best. the people, the flora & fauna, the art… everything was great.
I think my most memorable vacation was going to Yellowstone park with my daughter and husband, and then we went to visit some of our favorite relatives in western Idaho. I loved seeing my 8th grade daughter just sitting and listening to family stories, even when she could have gone off and done something else: so heartwarming to see her be interested in her family!
Went on a trip with my family up the Rhine and Mosel rivers in Europe. We were on a river cruise ship. It was just amazing!!!
My most memorable vacation was to NYC. What a great city! There were so many things to see and do – things that I only saw in movies or TV.
Traveled with a group of friends on a Mediterranean cruise. Each and every day held a new adventure to sights, sounds and favors that I had never experienced.
My most memorable vacation was the very first time to see a beach. The ocean water smelled fantastic! It was love at first sight. We’ve been returning every year since. The sounds of the waves, the rise and fall of the surf, but the salty water smell is the best!
I love almost every single trip I took, but if you ask me, I gotta say the recent one just in May, mainly because it is harder and harder to travel in Europe again? Well, I did have a great one with my daughter Clare this May/June, we were away for a month and the trip ended up in a good note in Singapore. Oh I love vacation!
Would have to have been our honeymoon 12 years ago. Just did so many fun things, and had no schedule!
Most memorable was 1996. I won an all expenses paid trip to Las Vegas by playing bingo. I booked the trip as far out as possible because I was petrified to fly. Finally got up the nerve to get on the plane, we had our whole trip planned out – sightseeing, flying over Hoover Dam, shows, staying at Caesars Palace, gambling, etc. It was a short 3 hour plane ride. My husband had a little sniffle, but no big deal.
By the time we got off the plane, he had a full blown sinus nfection. Totally down, all 4 days.
Did you know Kleenex at the hotel was $8 a box?
Five years ago my hubby and I along with 2 other couples spent a week in Northern Ireland and Ireland visiting friends. It was such an awesome trip seeing the country as a “local”

Each summer, I take a couple of weeks to travel to New England. It’s a highlight of my year. I guess I’ll answer the question by saying that each year’strip more memorable than the last!
I really loved my trip to Italy. We toured so many beautiful cities. I’ll never forget that wonderful vacation.
My most memorable vacation was my honeymoon 35 years ago. We went to Orlando, Disney World. My sweet hubby made me feel like a queen. I will always remember that trip!

By far, it was a cruise to Alaska out of Seattle! Such gorgeous country, surrounded by beauty, total rest & relaxation. Most amazing vacation EVER!!
I was 9 years old when I went with my family to the New York World’s Fair. We drove from Michigan to New York all 8 of us. It was so much fun.
Hi Nichole,
My most cherished one was a trip to Disney with my father and my kids after I got divorced.
He made it so easy and pleasurable for all of us, I forgot my troubles, we had fun, ate a lot and the expressions on my children’s faces were priceless!
I am so glad we took this trip together for within a couple of years he died tragically and at least I have those sweet memories along with thousands of others he gave me!
Cariños,
María Alba
Without a doubt, Hawaii for our honeymoon, hoping to go back again this year to celebrate our ten year anniversary.
my very first ever flight was from toronto ontario to oahu hawaii. i was eight years old and i remember my excitement from that flight to this very day. i also remember that i was so concerned that santa wouldn’t find us in our hotel (which was on maui) and being relieved that, in fact, he did find us! magic followed us half way around the world!
The most memorable vacation would have to be the only one my family had together before my daddy died of cancer. It was a road trip stopping at every historical marker, every museum, and every tourist attraction that my daddy could find between our home in Texas to Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This has to be the cruise we took with our sons in celebration of college, high school, and middle school graduations. I have wonderful memories of all the things we did together as a family and all the new things we tried … wonderful time, wonderful memories!
Three trips tie for best. And for the same reason. The whole family including grandkids were there. The first was south Beach and the keys, the second one was new York and the third was brekenridge. Loved them all.
In June this year, we were able to bring our four children and 10 grandchildren all together for a week in the Sanibel/Captiva Islands area. We had so much fun exploring all the barrier islands, shelling, paddle boarding and just being together. With one son in the Air Force and busy schedules with the kiddos, it isn’t often we can all be together like this. I will treasure it always.
I have so many wonderful vacations, it’s hard to choose! I’m going with our 2014 trip to Amsterdam and Nice. I got to meet fellow forum member Hanne in Holland, and it’s hard right now to not have my thoughts on Nice….
Two years ago we went to Banff, Canada. I had first seen pictures of turquoise Lake Louise in National Geographic years and years ago and had it on my bucket list ever since. We went there to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The scenery was just so breathtakingly gorgeous. We hiked everyday and had the time of our lives. Barely a day goes by that my husband and I don’t speak of that wonderful vacation!
My most memorable vacation was my dh and I driving out west and visiting various national parks and other areas of interest. It was a long drive but everything was so beautiful and it was awesome to see all of the sites.
My most memorable vacation was taken many years ago with my family. We drove from the east coast to west coast and visited many things along the way. The day we reached the west coast Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. I’ll never forget it!

Disney World when I was 7 years old. My brother and I had never flown anywhere before so to make Disney our first overseas trip was amazing!
My husband and I spent about two weeks driving along the Pacific coast from Victoria Island to San Diego, much of it along Highway 1. So beautiful and diverse, lots of cute towns, great food, good conversation. I hope we can repeat this trip when we retire.
My most memorable was a trip we took to the Netherlands when my eldest was a baby, to introduce him to his dutch family. So much love. AND – we also got engaged on the same trip. Such a wonderful time in our lives.
We took the entire family to Italy, and had the most incredible time. Best vacation ever.
My boyfriend planned our first trip together. I love the ocean, so we first went to Huntington Beach and stayed in a suite that looked at the ocean and listened to the waves all night. He loves the Mtns. so we left the beach and drove up to Big Bear to spend the night in a cabin and then to explore the mtns. Best vacation ever.
When I was 12, my mom and I went to Germany to the town where she grew up. All of my mother’s family was/is in that town. It was fun going to all the different historic sights. The age I was at was perfect….mature enough to appreciate what I was seeing and still have memory of my experiences to this day.
Linda
20 years ago I traveled to the States for the first time, and got to experience my first white Christmas. So magical, I’ll never forget it!

Punta Cana Dominican Republic
Lol, I have such a bad memory now that I’m getting older that I have to say my most memorable vacation has been the one from which we just returned! Thanks to the ladies on the forum, my family had a lovely time at Niagra Falls, Canada. We just loved Niagara-on-the-Lake, and who knew the squirrels in Canada are black???? What a terrific release once again, and the DT samples are to die for. Simply gorgeous!

My most memorable vacation was my honeymoon. I got married younger and had a very strict father growing up. I wasn’t allowed to go away with girlfriends or with boyfriends. My honeymoon was the first vacation I took as an adult on my own and the very first one with my husband. It was an amazing vacation!
As a kid, anywhere there was water or an amusement park! As an adult, the island of Kauai and a memorable helicopter ride to see the waterfalls.
My favorite vacation was probably the month that I spent traveling solo through New Zealand and Australia. Such beautiful places and friendly people!
Travelling with my Mother in Law and Aunt…lots of giggles and we did everything from panning from gems to taking a crafting class to a day at the beach.
My husband and I stayed at the beach for all week and our daughter with her family came to stay for a few days at the same hotel. My 4 year old grandchild said “are we going to stay here forever. You know she was having a god time.
I’ve had so many memorable vacations that it is really hard to pick as each one memorable in its own way. I would likely say the year my husband & I (before children of our own) took two of my 13 year old nieces to Walt Disney World. It was wonderful to see the excitement and it was before the days where people did a lot of travelling like that. Would you believe 1977, so WDW was pretty new… Thanks for the contest and excited to see sampler packs in new colours!
My most memorable vacation was the first time we took our kids to Disney World. They were two and almost-five, and maybe they don’t remember it, but gosh, I’ll never forget the looks on their faces at the fireworks, characters, and just the MAGIC of it all.
Not only that, but my sisters and their kids went too, so it was nice to have backup, and the cousins had fun together. 🙂
We were exhausted by the end, but it was oh-so worth it!
Two weeks staying at Palm Cove in a lovely house, where I didn’t have to do anything! It was lovely!
When I was 8, my mom and I left my father and brother in Iowa and travelled with her fellow college professors to Washington, D.C.. I was the only child. We had so much fun touring the city and surrounding areas, learning about the history and meeting people. I will never forget the wonders of that trip.
Ours was a trip to La Serena, Chile! It was just gorgeous. It was also our first trip together as a couple. Thanks for a chance to win!
I was able to cruise with my 89 year old mother and two sisters in 2014 and it was a fun filled trip with an amazing lady. She died 2 years later and I am just so glad I had that unique time with her and that is why it was memorable. She was full of zest for life and she made our trip very special.
Our most memorable vacation was our cruise visiting various Tahitian islands to celebrate my 40th birthday. We even had a helicopter ride around the island of Bora Bora on my birthday.
My first trip to the Grand Canyon with my father just before he passed away. We’d promised to go for so long and finally made it. It was wonderful to sit with him and talk while looking out at the huge canyon.

A Disney Cruise with our kids for our 20th weddings anniversary. It was an absolutely perfect trip!
My most memorable vacation was my first trip to Scotland. Growing up it had always been my dream to visit the Highlands, see a croft, smell a peat fire. I had read so many books (mostly novels) about Scotland, it was my dream destination. It lived up to its reputation.
My most memorable vacation was our honeymoon in Hawaii because it was truly a paradise. Beautiful scenery all around, relaxing on the beach, and enjoying the culture and cuisine of the islands.
Well for me a vacation is going somewhere that is not home and you spend at least a week there relaxing, doing touristy things etc. Maybe someday I’ll have the money to do this!!!
I have been blessed to have many memorable vacations but I would say the one I remember most from my childhood was our visit to Williamsburg. It was one for the books! Hot, car breaking down (twice) and all kinds of other happenings!
My best vacation ever was our 10th wedding anniversary trip to Hawaii. We had not had a vacation since our honeymoon; and I never thought I’d get to see Hawaii. I actually cried the first time we walked to the beach. We’ve been married 51 years now and had some other very nice vac’s but Hawaii was the BEST!!!
A trip to New York City because we the entire family was able to go and that made it all the more special.
My most memorable was a few years ago with a girlfriend. We used her timeshare to go stay in a wonderful condo in Scottsdale, AZ. Seeing the mountains at every turn was such a wonder. I loved no humidity even though it was scorching hot.
The one I remember most was at Easter, age 8, when my family went during break from San Diego to central CA and we visited Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, and several other tourist places. I loved each place we went because each was so different
My most memorable vacation was to Destin, FL. My husband and I had got gotten engaged and he was TDY and I was allowed to go visit him at the AFB in Florida. I loved how white the sand was, how clear the water was, that wonderful feeling of salt air on my skin and blowing through my hair and it was special, because I wasn’t just his girlfriend anymore, I was going to be his wife. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have been blessed with many family times I consider vacations but one in particular was when we were in the ice caves on Jungfrauroch sp? Switzerland on my birthday in August. Not being too fond of heat it was areal treat to be cold on my birthday in August! But anytime we are together as a family is a blessed “vacation” from the sometimes monotony of everyday.
The very first time I took the children to Disney world when they were little stands out in my mind. They were the perfect ages and I still remember all the excitement and joy on their faces that week.
My most memorable vacation was last year when we took our kids to Universal Studios in Orlando. It was our first week long vacation ever because we have a young adult child with autism. There were no major meltdowns and he absolutely loved the onsite hotel where we stayed. It was a truly great vacation!
When I was about 22 my friend and I took a road trip from California through 10 states camping. We took the mule trip at the Grand Canyon, drove to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado, saw Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota, stayed in Yellowstone and gambled in Las Vegas before returning to California. It was awesome and beautiful and we meet lots of interesting people along the way.
My most memorable vacation was taking my son when he was five to Disney World and seeing the magic kingdom through his eyes. From the Pirates of the Caribbean, the haunted house, tiki gardens it was an experience I will always treasure. The pirate hat we bought for him allowed him many joyful hours of pretending he was a pirate on the high seas … Oh the memories …..
We spent Christmas in Spain the year after my mom died as it was an excellent diversion from thinking about the past 60 Christmases I had spent with her.

My most memorable vacation occurred a few years ago when my brother, sister and I, along with all our children, grandchildren, spouses, etc took my parents to Florida. A time we will never forget.

My most memorial vacation was before I was married. I went to Denmark to visit my fiancé (he was in university)and we travelled for 5 weeks thru Europe by car. Lots of memories made.
All the summers growing up when mom and dad rented a beach house directly on the beach for several days. We often left straight from the last day of school to go. It was wonderful carefree days! Many lasting memories of those family times!
25 years ago now, I was able to take a 4 month “trip around the world” from Europe to Egypt, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Japan. Very memorable, wish I could do it again!

A week at a spa in North Carolina. It was the best gift I ever gave myself.

I had the best summer ever camped out at a beach camping area with family. It was close enough my parents could go to work and we had the beach all day every day to ourselves.
My husband and I never got a honeymoon so I really treasure the trip we finally took about three years ago together. We traveled down to Kentucky and Tennesee.
My most memorable vacation was at Disneyland in 2007…my entire family was there and my boys (age 9 & 11) had a wonderful time with their cousins! I will never forget their expressions as they walked and played around the park. 🙂
My most memorable vacation was spent on Maui where I was married and spent my honeymoon! We have gone to Maui every other year for vacation since we have been married. Special place with special memories! Especially loving the “tropical” items in this release!
3 family vacations immediately come to mind. I guess the favorite would be 2 weeks in Hawaii, 1 week on the big island and the other on Oahu. My kids were teenagers and enjoyed lots of time in the water, especially snorkeling. Weather was great, ate meals outside and gorgeous sunsets.
Last summer, we treated our children, their spouses and out grandchildren to a trip to Orlando. We went to magic kingdom, Harry potter world, cocoa beach and just enjoyed each other’s company. I loved having all my babies under one roof in a house we rented for the week.

Traveling across the country with my family when I was a child.
Most memorable vacation for me was just a few years ago. We took the kids to Disney World for the first time…but it was the first time for both my husband and me as well! There’s nothing like seeing Magic Kingdom for the first time! Even as an adult, it was magical!
A week long trip to California with 3 of my best girlfriends. We got a great deal & it was so much fun showing them the area I grew up in.
My most memorable vacation was when I returned to Japan 5 years ago (I had taught English there for 5 months when I was 19-20yrs old). It was a long trip and I got to spend the entire time with a wonderful friend who I had met living together in a share house in Tokyo when I had lived there. We went to Kyoto and explored other areas of Japan and I think what made it most memorable was that I was going through a really rough time, my longtime relationship was very rocky and I did A LOT of soul searching. I look forward to returning for a visit to Japan, again, soon!
My most memorable and favorite vacation if probably boring to most people…but it was the Iconic Disney trip. I was a young child and it was a dream come true and very magical.
