Jane says
Robins are my favorite bird species because I enjoy watching them build nests, feed their babies and hunt for worms.
REGINA ROACH says
Assuming I can’t name the Jayhawk (being a University of Kansas fan!), my favorite is the cardinal. Sighting that bright red always brings a smile to my face.
Connie says
I love loons especially when out camping and their haunting voices echo over the water. Love the new release.
Joyce says
I think my favorite us split depending on the season. In the spring I love when the Robins first arrive and are so cheerful and singing, then as summer progresses and flowers are blooming I love seeing the hummingbirds fluttering around, lastly as winter takes over and everything is dormant and often covered in blankets of white the Cardinal takes center stage and is so vibrant against the white. They are are just so beautiful!
Happy release day!
Bobby says
Considering I have a collection of over 200 owls, I’d have to say the owl is my favorite bird, although I love watching the cardinals, chickadees and nutchatches in my feeders.
shell says
I have a few cardinals, robins in the spring and a little bird that is brown with light blue wings that’s comes to our porch and steals cat food.
Kathy J in Ellicott City says
I love Robins, such wonderful colors!
Annie Dill says
My favorite bird is the cedar waxwing, and second is the snow bunting. These were in a childhood book of mine by the wonderful Thornton W. Burgess.

I love the cardinals, easy to spot with the bright red and so pretty a sight all year round.

My favorite would have to be the owl. I love listening to them near our house.
DIANA L. says
I love cardinals, they are beautiful all year, and they remind me of Christmas.
Sue Rose says
I love blue jays, cardinals, bluebirds and orioles. But my favorite has to be the robin, as they are a sure sign of spring. I look forward to seeing my first one every spring!
Liz mcallister says
I love crows! They are so smart. They will hide food under kl eaves and teach other crows. My favorite song bird is the adorable chickadee
mary whitcomb says
My favorite bird is the chickadee. Many years ago I visited Story Land in New Hampshire and they had a Heidi cottage with an elderly “grandfather” who would stand with birdseed in his hand and the little chickadee’s would come and eat from his hand. I can’t tell you how many hours I stood on my deck… (or how many years!) before one day a little chickadee came and ate. I still love the happy feeling I get when I think of that brave and hungry little bird!
Christine Kirch says
I love so many birds, cardinals, robins, hummingbirds, but my favorite has to be the sparrow because I remember its song so much growing up.
kimgyu says
I love birds. They are such gentle creatures. My favorite are sparrows. They are so cute and small, but have big appetites! I enjoy them every morning as I watch them at the feeder.
Shirley Robelotto says
My favorite would be a cockatiel – I had one as a pet, and it was so loving and sweet. I miss that little bird.
Terri says
I would have to say my favorite is the turkey. They are fun to watch as they strut around the yard and do their thing. They also taste delicious.
chris g. says
I love owls representing wisdom and being kind of a mystery bird.
Susan G says
I love cardinals, for that flash of color in the grayish winter, but also for the cardinal that tapped on the window and uplifted my mom’s spirits during her last days. I also love the majestic eagle, makes one jealous that we can’t soar through the sky.
TamiBabs says
I love the cardinals but they don’t like the Rockies so for me they’ve been replaced by the Stellar Jay as ‘favorite’ bird. These birds are the most gorgeous Cobalt Blue. The Jays pretty much stay in the mountains but you can always count on seeing them in and around camp sites and not only are they beautiful – their antics are such fun to watch!
Jodi says
My favorite has to be the yellow finch. It is our state bird. The bright feathers and the tiny features of this little bird just makes me smile. I rescued one that had been hurt. I remember having the amazing opportunity to hold it and take a very close look at it while it recovered from shock. I held it in my hand for probably 20 minutes just studying it. Truly a beautiful bird.
Kirkwoodmojo says
My favorite is the very red Cardinal. They live in my state all year round. We had the beautiful birds on our deck until a tree they lived in had to be taken down. I miss them
Samantha B says
We have a Japanese Maple in our front diningroom window and we’ve enjoyed watching the Robins nest and raise their babies right before our eyes. From the day they hatch to the day they leave the nest, two weeks is all it took. I even got a little misty when they all left. ?
Audrey says
The chickadee is my favorite bird
Mendi Yoshikawa says
I think my favorite birds are owls. They are just so pretty with their big eyes. We have a couple that live near our house and sit on our lamp post hooting through the night. Love it! 🙂
Nancy M. says
The owl! They look like they have such PERSONALITY!
Diane R says
Cardinals have become my all time favorite bird. In the last years of my parent lives, every single day a cardinal would perch on their kitchen window sill while they ate breakfast. He would tap his beak on the window until my mom opened the door and put seed on the sill for him to eat. He never even flew away when she got close to him. Now, every time a see a cardinal and his mate, my heart warms as I feel my parents nearby.
Jessica Gaudette says
My favorite is the blue jay. They just stand out so beautifully!
Carol S. says
My favorite bird is the Nuthatch! They come to my feeders every day in the winter. I love to watch them walk up and down the tree trunk!
Angela says
I’ve never thought about what my favorite bird was until today! It turns out I like a lot of them! I think my very favorite might be the cardinal because my dad always gets excited when he sees one and they are beautiful. Although, any sweet little bird is good with me because they remind me of the song, His eye is on the Sparrow.”
Aloc says
The chickadee is my favorite bird… and that is the nickname I gave to our fistborn granddaughter. She loves that name!
Carol Ann Ater says
The finch. During the winter the finch enjoys colors of browns and blacks to match his surroundings well. But with the arrival of spring his plumage magically alters to pale chartruese, then pale golds and finally bright happy yellow. The female, however, remains in her darker hues. The finch has a chirp that is distinctive
too.
Rudi says
I love hummingbirds! They are so small, yet they are so tough!
Nora says
I am in love with Hawks. We have a ton in our area and they are majestic in the way they fly.

The cardinal. The pop of red is gorgeous!

Cathy K says
Since we moved to Arizona, I have to say that my favorite is the quail. I love to watch a family of quail all in a row–the babies are ever so tiny!
Karla says
I’m not sure that I have a favorite bird species. I love most of them. I have bird decor in several rooms of my home. I enjoy the beautiful colors of the Blue Jay, Cardinal and Indigo Bunting. I love to watch the hummingbird that eats at the feeder attached to my window and the snowbirds that eat seeds on the ground beneath my feeder. I love the sounds of the Phoebe, Morning Dove and Red Winged Blackbirds. I love to see the first Robins of Spring. Can’t choose just one.
christi in ma says
my mom always bought me chickadee ornaments and my brother cardinals – so that’s what I tend to gravitate toward
SuzanneMB says
My favorite bird is the goldfinch because I so enjoy seeing them flitting around and chasing each other on a sunny day.

Beautiful Release Ladies!!! So much eye candy, I can hardly stand it. LOL
My favorite bird is Peachfaced Lovebirds. I bred them for about 9 years. They are So Much Fun! They are so social and really need to be in pairs, that’s how they got the name Love Bird. Some even learn to talk. I have several that say, How Are You!? They come in a wide variety of differnt Mutations (Colors), some are White Faced, Peach Faced (original Red), Orange Faced, with many variations when the different color groups are mixed. There is Green Series (the original wild type green body with red face). And there is Blue Series (White Faced aka Turquoise), Aqua (Creamy to Peach Forehead), and if you cross the 2 you get AquaTurquoise (Deep Peachy Forehead with grayish cheeks). Thanks!
