I LOVE a drink, called “Google Moogle” which sounds funny (because it’s in Yiddish) but tastes amazing!!! Whenever I’m sick, (or not!) That is my first request and it brings me back to my childhood in just one sip.The drink was historically used in Poland and various other Jewish communities in eastern Europe and the Caucasus regions as a medicinal drink to help with cold and flu symptoms. Both my father (who was born in Poland) and my mother (though born in Israel) are of Polish descent and so they carried that tradition on to their children…e.g. me! Back in the day, it was made with boiling hot milk mixed with honey, raw egg whites…and rum! My Mom obviously adjusted the recipe (during my adolescence) and replaced the rum with cinnamon!
