These brushed shapes are a fantastic basic to have on hand for layering or accenting die-cuts, adding them underneath sentiments, building backgrounds and so much more.  You will find yourself turning to these again and again!

The Details:

  • Brushed Off will be available for purchase on August 15th.
  • It will retail for $15.
  • Brushed Off contains a total of 5 images.  The large brushed rectangle measures 2" x 3-3/8".  The medium brushed rectangle measures 3-1/2" x 1".  The small brushed rectangle measures 1-1/4" x 5/8"   The large brushed circle measures 2".  The small brushed circle measures 1-1/4".

Here is a larger version of the popular leaf that was included in the Phrase Play #7 die.  We can hardly wait to cut these out of metallic card stock and so much more!

The Details:

  • Leaf Silhouettes die/collection will be available for purchase on August 15th.

I've found myself wanting a really full branch die a lot lately so that is how this product was born!  It will work well used as a silhouette or you can add detail to the leaves using small stamps, watercoloring, Copics, sponging, etc…

  • It will retail for $10.
  • Branching Out die measures 4-3/8" x 3-3/4".

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Beautiful Card

The new Brushed Off stamps are just so fun to play around with, it was hard to know where to begin!  What I like about these stamps is that they have a more organic feel about them.  As if your ink has been really dry brushed onto the card.  It's amazing the depth that this creates.  I opted to create stripes of sorts coming from opposite sides of the card.  It's a great way to show off a beautiful sentiment like this one from Choose Joy (which you will be hearing more about later this week!)

For the brushed stripes I inked the large ones with Canyon Clay and then dabbed just a bit of Terracotta Tile along the edge.  This was followed by a smaller stripe of Raspberry Fizz.  The Branching Out die was cut from Sheer Basics Vellum in Bitty Dot.  I ended up removing the bottom two sections of the branch for use on the other side of the card.

A stapler was the perfect thing to help hold the branches in place.  I added the sentiment in True Black right in between the Canyon Clay and Raspberry Fizz stripes on the right side of the card.

A super easy project that you could easily swap out colors and even sentiments.  A good design basic that I will most likely return to again and again!

Now that you have seen what I created, here are some of the amazing things that the team has made!  You won't want to miss a single project!

Amy says, "If you like stamping your own backgrounds, you're going to love Brushed Off! The variety of different looks you can create is endless. I'm excited to share with you how I made both an artsy polka dot background and a gilded ombre background, both in beautiful warm autumn tones."

This month's new stamps and dies, including Brushed Off, Leaf Silhouettes, and Branched Out make it easy to break away from the traditions and try something trendy and new. I used new, vibrant colors on my autumn cards in today's post. Don't worry, I might have sneaked a traditional autumn style card in my post too. Stop by to see!"
