Rainy days make me sleepy but now I’m finding myself drawn to my craft room on a rainy day. I see all kinds of beautiful birds from my craft room window and it is such a blessing to me that God sends His beautiful creatures to craft with me.

A rainy day on the West Coast is awesome, great for indoor or outdoor activities. Indoors I would be crafting or reading and outdoors I would be walking along the shore in the rain. A gentle breeze blowing as raindrops dance on the water. Surf’s up, whitecaps appear and the tide rushes in. I’m swept away by the wonder of it all … how blessed I feel to live by the ocean …I LOVE it!!!

My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is to curl up in my comfy Papasan chair with a good book (something by James Patterson)…..a nice beverage by my side – usually green tea – and maybe a snack!

I grew up where it rained almost weekly. Rather than have to do chores in the rain, I now choose to pursue one of my many hobbies: stamping, reading, quilting, knitting, or crocheting. I live in Eastern Utah’s desert, so when it rains it comes down hard and fast! A typical rain storm only lasts 15-20 minutes, and puts down a lot of water. We usually hurry and close up any windows, and prep for any flash flooding that frequently occurs. I wish I had time to craft!

I live in Montana, which is considered “High Desert” and it rarely rains. We’re always in an awful drought. When it does rain, we thank the Heavens and rejoice. It doesn’t last long, so I try to make a point to enjoy it. I usually drop what I’m doing and go sit on the back step and enjoy the smells and sounds. Last night was one of those rare rains and I took my dessert and my book and went and sat on the floor in front of the door and just enjoyed it while it lasted.

We have also a severe drought here in Puerto Rico, and water is being rationed for 2 hole days. But I am a creature of habit, I divide my days between crafting, most of the time it’s making cards but right now I am altering a door hanger for a baby gift,reading, my computer, watching my TV and playing games (Xbox or Playstation). It is always the same either rain or shine, the only thing is that I alter the order of doing all, except for the TV of course.

My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is. I love to pull back the curtains and watch one of God’s blessings.. Living in Texas we have been in such a drought. I live on a farm where we depend on God’s blessings to make things grow.. We have been blessed this year for that I am thankful
