I’d say half and half. My usual gift is a 10-pack of baby Thank You cards (you can never have enough thank you cards when you have a baby) and some sort of baby clothes (they are so fun to buy!). My cards always get a lot of compliments, so that makes all the work I put into them worth it!
For handmade items, I like to give a package of baby thank you cards to new moms. I also like to give some sort of name frame, or more recently name banner using PTI banner and felt. I have also recently given a set of onsies embellished with buttons to look like the Very Hungry Caterpillar.
Of course I love to bring a handmade card to baby showers! Otherwise a gift from the registry.
I usually give onesies embellished or name frames hand painted!!!
I make my gifts for baby showers. I create a entire scrapbook for the new mom. All she has to do take her photos and place them in her new scrapbook. I also leave blank pages with all of the paper and embellishments just in case she wanted to create her own special page. Whenever I give that out the moms love it more then store bought gifts.
Of course handmade gifts!!! A knitted baby blanket or decoration for the nursery!!!
I usually bring children books and oneies that I design with my silhouette.
I prefer to bring a handmade gift together with some store bought clothes and right now i can’t wait to get my hands on the new bootie dies. These will make the perfect gift to go with any outfit.
The first pair will be for me first grandchild that is expected in augustus.
Both.
I usually wait until after the baby is born snd I embroider a blanket for a keepsake that has all the babies information on it.
I usually do both. I love to sew a hooded towel for the baby out of a bath towel and a washcloth. I stitch a ribbon on the washcloth for decoration. It’s super easy and super cute!
i like to make a customised onesie or a knitted gift. i have such a lovely pattern for a little wrap cardigan that only takes a day or so to knit but looks just perfect. Of course I relish in the making of a handmade card too – just got my MIM sprinkles kit today so am itching to use that !
love this release, congrats to all the team.x
I love to make handmade gifts for baby showers. Those baby booties are a must on my wish list.
God bless,
Peggy Allen
I usually do both–a set of thank you notes that are handmade and some type of clothing or toy…they are too cute to resist!
I love to make something. I thinks its more personal.
Books with homemade packaging.
I do both handmade and store bought. It depends on time constraints and relationship with the recipient. I always do a homemade card. I love baby showers.
A gift from the registry, and maybe one of the books my children loved.
My favorite gift to bring is a mini scrapbook that is all decorated up and ready for them to just add pictures and journaling. If I have time, I will also include a few thank-you cards too.
Always store brought with a hand made card but that is about to change with those bootie die cuts 🙂 how cute they are.
My favorite gift is a handmade album ready for pictures of the baby’s first year.
I usually go in with other family members to buy a big gift – stroller, etc. – but I also like to give some homemade birth announcement cards that include a spot for the baby’s picture and all the important info.
Love the new release! Can’t wait to see more!
It depend on the person I’m giving the gift to. Some people don’t appreciate handmade. I prefer to do handmade.
I usually buy baby clothes and often will fill a nappy pail with useful items – soap, wash clothes, nappy balm, etc. I always give a handmade card. 🙂
My favorite gift is handmade. Typically, I crochet a baby blanket and make an 8×8 scrapbook where the mom only has to add the photos and journal.
Only ever been to one, not an English tradition, and took a teddy bear.
I like to bring a hand knit baby blanket. I also look at their registry list to get something they wanted and of course I make the card.
For baby showers, I actually like a bit of both. I like to give a handmande blanket or something similar, but I also like to give some onesies and burp cloths- so a bit of fun and pretty, and a bit of practical. Of course, the card is always handmade. : )
I love to make growth charts for the parents to be. It’s something that can decorate the nursery plus be a sentimental reminder for the parents of their little ones growth.
Great release!! I love to bring something handmade if possible but if I can’t it’s a lot of little items packaged up in handmade boxes or bags with handmade thank you notes/baby announcements and a card.
My favorite baby gift must be handmade. I knit or crochet a blanket. I’ll make a diaper cake or a diaper motorcycle. Sometimes I’ll make handmade thank you cards for the mom to be to send out after the shower.
I love to give a cot quilt. Bright colours & lovely patterns. Sadly, store bought. I don’t have any idea how to quilt! I also love to give an A.A.Milne book. Any one. Was a favourite of mine.
I love to give a handmade gift like a knitted sweater and booties or a knitted blanket. But sometimes life is busy and a well-chosen store bought gift fits the bill. 😉
Both, I prefer to make a quilt, and handmade card, something they will keep after the baby is grown. I still have the ones given to me, and recently found the savings bonds I received. I stashed them away, and rediscovered them now that I have 2 in college.
I like to combine them if the recipient has a registry for things they need. I’ll make something homemade to go along with that.
It has usually been a purchased gift with a handmade card. Looking forward to changing that with the bootie dies!
My favorite handmade item is a mini baby book album that the parents can automatically fill in. Store bought: books. I like to send the message that it is never to early to start reading to children.
For family I make small memory books, put embellishments, journaling cards, etc. on the pages and leave room for the parents to finish them with pictures, mementos, etc. For all others, something from the registry.
I always bring 50 thank you cards with coordinating envelopes that are made with the nursery décor/theme. I have earned a reputation of bringing this personalized gift which explains the excitement of the mother-to-be when she sees the box from me that holds these little gems.
I love giving receiving blankets, they’re usually store bought since I can’t sew. But after the baby bootie dies from this month, I think booties will be my new favorite gift to being.
I like to combine handmade and store bought gifts. Whether it be an outfit and a cute little pair of handmade booties 😉 or something specific to the recipient. I like to combine both and there is always a handmade card. 🙂
I usually make a small quilt or afgan. I love working with pastels and small sizes.
I always bring a touchy feely board book to a baby shower!
I of course the card I give is handmade! I also like to buy baby bath wash, moisturizer & face washers/towels that I match to my card with handmade packaging & tags.
I usually like to buy some new children’s books….and a handmade card of course 🙂
I like to give them s starter kit of all those little items that can add up over time. Or I give them a certificate for one case of diapers or wipes
I try and make every baby a rag quilt, then ask for a photo of the baby wrapped in it. =)
I usually buy something from their registry & include a handmade card or tag using my scattered showers stamp set. Thanks.
Handmade gifts are always fun to bring. I like to make crocheted blankets or hand made thank you notes. But, I’m also in love with baby clothes, so I usually get an outfit, too. Baby clothes are just so sweet and tiny!
Books! I always like to give some of our family favorites.
I’d have to go with handmade! My favorite things to crochet are baby booties and cute little hats!
My favorite thing to give is a Carter’s sleep sack. My husband nick named them “baby in a bag” when our first was an infant. We loved them, and as the first of our friends to have kids, we passed on the joy of easy middle of the night diaper changes by buying one for everyone of our friends new babies!
I always make a card and tag. I have a commercial embroidery machine, and usually embroider burp cloths, bibs, receiving blankets, etc. for the baby gift. Everything gets packaged up in a cellophane bag, tied with tulle and ribbon. These gifts are always a big hit! Papertrey has a lot of baby stamps which makes it so easy to create a cute tag/card to go along with the gift!
I love to buy children’s books so that the baby has a library started (not so talented in the knitting/sewing department)…but I ALWAYS include a handmade card or tag!
My favorite gift to bring to a baby shower are handmade thank you cards. It has become a tradition and the young ladies who have having babies have come to expect them. I try to make them fit with a theme of something the mom to be likes.
My favorite gift is to give them a beautiful handmade baby album to put their pictures of their precious baby in.
I usually give a gift purchased from the baby registry with a handmade card but add a little embroidered bib or crocheted blanket for a family member or close friends.
I nearly always bring a handmade baby quilt to baby showers (with a handmade card, of course).
I always give a gift card. That way the new parents can get what they want and/or need and what they like, and they won’t have to return it. It seems my choice and theirs are so different. Of course, the gift card goes into a handmade card made by me.
Usually a handmade quilt and card. Now I can include some booties too!
Its been awhile. But something handmade, usually crocheted, or a teddy bear in remembrance of my mother. I do love making baby cards!
Diapers!! And a homemade card 🙂
All the cute tiny clothes – onesies, socks, cute t-shirts that say I love my mommy or daddy’s girl etc. Baby toys like the giant keys because they always love those. I wish I had the talent for handmade so it’s always store bought.
I like to buy a cute little outfit and a book or small toy and add a homemade tag or card. However, I am getting into quilting, so hopefully my future grandchildren will be getting handmade quilts from Grandma!!
Usually I do both. It depends on how close I am to the recipient. The last shower I went to I gave a set of baby thank you cards and a store bought blanket and outfit. Sometimes I do custom art for the baby’s room, sometimes I crochet a blanket.
Usually it’s a combination of both depending upon who the person is. I don’t really have a go-to gift item, I usually figure it out as I go.
My favourite gift has to be a handmade card for starters, then some store bought gifts! 🙂
Handmade and purchased! For close friends and family we like to give first swimsuits and water toys to use in our pool, as part of the gift! Also like to make something to coordinate with registry items! And of course an over the top baby card is in order!
Probably store bought gift but definitely handmade card.
My favorite gift to bring would be handmade. I like giving personalized gifts – something that can potentially be kept for years and years. We still have the crocheted blanket that I was given for my son before he was born. He is now 22 yrs old. I also still have the Paddington Bear stuffed toy that has his name stitched on it. Handmade and/or personalized gifts are the best!
I usually buy from their registry, but then go over the top with a handmade card or wall plaque.
A handmade gift, of course! I usually put together a basket of things that will be special for baby and for momma. I am SO excited about the idea of putting those booties in a “welcome baby” basket for one of my daughter’s friends who is due in July. Yay!!
I usually get something off their registry and include a handmade card.
I love taking a homemade quilt to baby showers with matching personalized burp clothes.
Homemade…without a doubt! 🙂
Handmade- I always crochet a chevron baby afghan using brought colors.
I’m a librarian, so I don’t come without books- my favorite for baby showers is Sheep in a Jeep. Quality!
I have two favorites. I love to give the new mom a book to begin the baby’s library and I also love to give the recipe and ingredients for homemade baby wipes.
My favorite gift is a premade Baby Album where all the new Mom has to do is add photos and journal. I also crochet a pair of baby booties to tie on the ribbons of the package. A hand made card holds a gift card.
I knit and love knitting baby items. I am finishing a pumpkin hat and cardigan right now. So anything hand knit . Of course it is always finished off with a handmade card.
My favorite is a baby quilt……handmade.
My favorite gift is handmade, either a crocheted afghan or quilt. I also include a coordinating handmade card and tag to complete the gift.

super release!

A handmade baby quilt!
Usually something from the registry and a handmade card.
I enjoy gifting a set of baby thank you cards- one can never have too many of these cuties!
My gift is so boring: a giant box of Costco baby wipes! After the little guy or gal is born, I follow it up with a handmade card using my favorite Papertrey Block Alphabet Die (PTD-0201) to put their name on it.
I always give books and toys, along with a handmade card, of course!
Handmade if I can! For mom, a handmade congrats card to go with a homemade relaxing scrub or something soothing. For baby, a handmade blanket , onsie, swaddling cloths, bib etc, depending on what material is available to me. Its always good fun planning and making!
As luck would have it, we are having a baby shower soon at work and I plan on making a super cute baby boy card and will buy some adorable onesies, booties and a blanket &/or toy from Target to give – they have the CUTEST baby stuff!
I usually gift a combination of both. I’m going to a shower for a family member on Sunday. I made a baby mini album and bought something from the registry.
Handmade for sure!
My go to gift is a handmade baby blanket! Along with a handmade card of course and a decorated kraft gift bag.
A book about Babymassage and Massage oil that I mix myself. Soon accompanied with by adorable homemade booties 😉
hands down homemade my favorite thing to crochet is stuff for a newborn…I actually have a tote full of gifties just waiting for someone I know to have a baby 😉
Love to make a flannel blanket-44 inch square with some fun burp cloths to match.
my favorite gifts are homemade burp cloths and bibs-you can never have enough of those!
I tried to post, but never got the verification – hoping this isn’t a duplicate comment!
I usually gift baby books that I remember reading to my 3 kiddos (the over & over “do again” books!). And a handmade card
My favorite thing to give at a baby shower is a baby quilt. It’s always fun to coordinate the quilt with the décor in the Baby’s room if possible. Always gets a lot of “ooohs and aaaahs”. 🙂
I usually prefer to make handmade things, but usually the mom-to-be has some very specific needs. So lots of times I’ll do a mix of both. And of COURSE, the card is handmade.
I like to make diaper wreaths or diaper cakes with lots of little essentials attached. Another favorite gift comes from my retired librarian side, and that is books, books, books!
I will do both and either depending on who the recipient is. I love to make a ‘diaper cake’ from disposable diapers – always fun and a unique way to give a necessary item for the early days of baby’s life!!
Baby showers are the most fun! Handmade when I can!
I prefer to bring a handmade gift, a faux chenille flannel quilt. If I don’t know the person well, I try to stick to their registry items.
I usually bring some onesies that I decorated various ways. I like to switch it up instead of buying stuff off of a registry. This way, the mommy-to-be is surprised by the gift.
My favorite gift to bring is a handmade card and a variety of store bought items off of the baby registry.
I love to bring a combination… a cute outfit and a package of thank you cards for the new mom to use.
I like to give gift baskets filled with both handmade and store bought items.
A diaper cake!
I always make a handmade card for a newborn, but the gifts are usually storebought. What I love to give is a musical box. Many babies around me grew up falling asleep with those music boxes. Love that! We have a cute shop close to is where they sell really pretty ones!
What an amazing release! My favourite gift to bring is either a book or a handmade quilt.
I do both! A package of diapers and a handmade framed piece of art are what I like to bring 🙂
Half and Half. Thank you for another wonderful release! So many wonderful products.
My favorite thing to bring to a baby shower is a hand knit baby sweater (boy) or dress (girl)with a care tag decorated with Handle With Care and Knit Bits stamps…I like to stamp the care tag in colors that match or complement the yarn colors. I think I’ll be adding felt bootees to the mix though, for the next baby!
Handmade gift, crocheted baby afghan and pair of booties.
Handmade thank you notes (baby themed of course) and a terry cloth bunny that I’ve sewn for many years that’s safe for babies. Handmade gifts always meant the most to me when I was expecting, so I think moms-to-be still feel the same way.
Handmade cards and a box full of wellness items for the Mum-to-be so she can take good care of herself…
I have only been to one baby shower in the past 20 years and went in on a large gift with other family members. However, I see baby booties and other handmade gifts in my future!
If I know the baby’s name I like to give anything with the baby’s name on it. And of course a personalized handmade card.
Well – once this shipment arrives it will be handmade baby booties. LOL! I usually like to buy an assortment of gifts from their registry all themed to go together like a baby bathtub, towels, soap, etc. I’m also a quilter so when time allows I like to give a baby quilt – that unfortunately hasn’t happened recently. 🙁 There’s usually a book, or two, or three that makes it into the mix too.
I love handmade gifts or useful gifts. The last gift I gave was a handmade rag quilt.
I think a handmade quilt would be what I would give.
I’m not too creative when it comes to the gift. I usually buy something they’ve registered for. I always include a handmade card.
A set of handmade thank you notecards, clothing and books.

My favorite gift is handmade. I usually make some thank you cards for the mom to be!
Favorite gift – handmade. I make a scrapbook for the new baby. I put together a pocket style scrapbook: include a page per month with labels (one month, two month etc) for a pic every month of the baby sitting with a stuffed animal I also give (they can see how the baby grows over a year in pics) , journaling cards for every week of the year and a lot of empty page protectors 🙂 I also stamp out a bunch of embellishments – cute stuff to mark milestones like first bath, tooth etc – I make them into stickers so the mom can just peel and stick on her cards. Every mom I’ve given it to has loved it
For the handmade I make a beautiful banner with the baby’s name on it so the an put on outside of hospital door…than they can take it home. I also buy a few outfits and blankets. Fun rerelease this month!
my standard gift is a book and a little christmas stocking that i make from an old quilt that can be put on the christmas tree.
Swaddling blankets and a copy of “The Happiest Baby on the Block”. This method really saved my sanity with my colicky son!
I try to do both a handmade and a store bought gift. I love making shadow boxes with newborn baby photos for the new parents! And I always include a homemade card.
Handmade. It gives me an excuse to create something. Any gift would be appreciated by a new mother though. I like the idea that a handmade gift is one-of-a-kind.
It has been a while since I went to a baby shower. I usually make a hand knitted jumper or sew something I think the new mum would use. Package in something pretty and add a hand made card and gift tag.
I prefer handmade but not all new moms like that. If she does, I usually knit a baby blanket, if not, I will fill a basket with baby essentials like cream, wipes, etc.
I like to bring a gift from the registry and then a little something handmade. It’s nice to give something with a personal touch but also to give something baby needs.
For baby showers I love to shop for cute outfits, especially if I know whether it will be a boy or girl.
I’ll often buy something of the registry, but I also like to get books for the baby. It’s never too early to start a collection of good books!
My favorite gift to bring is a book or set of books – either classic, well-loved children’s stories for new parents or some beautiful picture books for a growing collection of a second or third new little one – accompanied by a handmade card 🙂
My standard gift to the new mom is a bouncy seat. It was a life saver when I was a new mom and had a fussy baby and dinner to make at the same time.
Store bought. I save the handmade items for later, when the child will be able to use it for a while.
Handmade! I like to make a smocked baby dress with matching bonnet from Mom’s favorite colors.
I love to bring one of those blow-up rubber ducky tubs full of goodies. They make a great centerpiece for the gift table.
I enjoy making cute flannel rag blankets with coordinating tote holding disposable diapers, lotion, etc. Always get tons of compliments.
I love to give new moms the little things they need, but they just don’t know it yet! Like a baby manicure set, toothbrush, outlet covers, baby tylenol, motrin, and teething tablets.
My favorite gift is handmade. I alway make a homemade baby blanket and baby shoes and of course a card to go along with it.
I think I would have to say a bit of both. A handmade card for certain and perhaps a little felt teddy. Although favourite family children’s books are always something I love to give too.
All the cards and creations are gorgeous
To take to a baby shower I’d take a nappy cake or towel cake, or handmade baby album/ scrap book …and handmade card of course
Hugs Susie xx
I love to make a handmade gift, it’s so much more personal and hopefully will be treasured. I love making a decoupaged photo frame with “tiny” embellishments to add that special touch!!!!
My favorite gift to take to a baby shower is a diaper cake — decorated with lots of ribbon, embellishments, and a handmade card.
My favorite gift to bring is a handmade baby blanket and card.
I will bring a handmade card and a baby gift from a shop.
I like to give a fruit basket (with an assortment of herbal teas and a few cookies)for the family to share. I also give diapers or something from their registry.
I wish I could do handmade but it’s usually a combination. I buy the big gift then add little things to it along with hand decorated packaging and card.
I like to pamper the mother to be with some luxury toiletries. For baby it would be some white babygros as you can never have too many. Handmade would be the card of course.
My favorite gift includes several sweet onesies along with a soft receiving blanket.
Well I do both, of course depending on how well I know the person. I have been known to make a small scrapbook for the mom to fill with photos of her new baby. I also add a store bought gift. I also add a handmade card and always use my Papertrey Ink stamps!!!
Always a hand made card that is specially designed for the baby. I like to include a hand made gift too. If I have enough time, a baby afghan. I include a book too.
I love to make gifts when time allows, otherwise it’s off to Gymboree I go. I love their cute things and matching receiving blankets, bibs, etc. Regardless, there is ALWAYS a handmade baby card, usually with the babies name in die-cut letters on the front if the parents already know the gender and name.
It depends on the parents to be, but I nearly always have to include the book “Love You Forever”. It is just too sweet. After over 20 years, I bet I’d still get misty before getting through the book! lol!
I generally bring a gift chosen from the gift registry of the honoree. I do love to add a handmade card or gift tag to the gift as a personalized touch.
My favorite gift for a baby is a book.
Handmade!
Both, I make a small quilt and a few books.
A handmade card for sure and something from the registry. But I also find a unique piggy bank of some sort and add that to the mix.

I usually buy several items off their baby registry and make a baby basket with the items or a diaper cake along with a handmade “congrats / welcome baby” card. Im so excited for the new PTI baby booties die – that will definitely be accompanying my handmade card & gifts.
A sweet baby outfit! Can never resist those darling little clothes 🙂
My gift is usually store bought. I always give a hand made card!
My favorite gift is an handmade baby quilt with the baby’s name embroidered on it
Always a handmade card, but usually clothes and toys. Mainly because I have fun choosing them!
Babies need so many things…carseats, beds, strollers. We will often contribute to a gift like that. For mothers I don’t know, I give diapers and maybe a book. I usually craft a card, especially for the out-of-town baby. Thanks for exciting products and inspiration this month!
A handmade card of course and an item of clothing or a toy for baby or perhaps an item for the nursery.
I bring a store-bought gift but a handmade card.
I have made the “onesie cupcakes” from Ponterest for the last 2 showers I have gone to, along with a card of course!
First of all…great release and loved all of the cards and projects shared! Second of all…my favorite gift to bring to a baby shower is a bath tub full of all the baby essentials wrapped in cellophane with a giant bow!!! I have done many of these and I love it!!
I usually have a handcrafted room decor item for the baby room, with a card and of course other gifts. Thank you for the chance to win 🙂
I like to bring a handmade card and Diapers and wipes!
I’m a crafter, soooo – the best present is a handmade present! I like to gift handmade notebooks for baby’s first words.
My favorite gift to give at a baby shower is a ready made baby’s first year scrapbook and a basket full of all baby must have’s, lotion diapers, etc.
My favorite gift is usually a hybrid of store-bought items such as clothes, books, diapers, Dreft detergent, etc…, which I arrange In some artsy container to give to the parents.
I would usually buy a bit of clothing and take along a handmade card, of course! Though I’ve also made a picture using the baby’s name and birth details too!

A bag full of second hand clothes and some thank you cards.

I love to bring items for baby’s bath time. Store bought boutique towels and wash cloths. Also, chemical free bath products for their gentle skin!
My favorite gift is a children’s book. I also make the baby card to coordinate with the nursery. The last new mom framed it for baby’s wall
Handmade most of the time, occasionally store bought is okay too!
Gosh, I haven’t been to a baby shower in at least 10 years. But I usually buy an outfit and a stuffed animal for a new baby.
Yet another fabulous release! I love to make flannel swaddling blankets with matching taggie blankets!

I like to give Lullaby cd’s and something for Mom, too.
We love to give baby shoes that we’ve purchased — brogans, Mary Janes, sneakers — they are so cute and not usually given as a newborn gift. Add a copy of “Pat the Bunny”, and it’s a nice little baby gift.
A homemade gift I’ve made for family is a set of baby blankets, usually flannel with a crocheted edge, or gingham with a lace edge for a summer baby.
Baby cards are my absolute favorite to make, so one of those is always first on the list. But my real favorite thing to do is have all of the guests bring their favorite baby or childhood books with their gift. It makes such an amazing shower present to have the new parents started with a loving library for baby! And of course PTI makes amazing things to be able to make custom cards for the inside cover for everyone to fill in!
I usually try to include a handmade gift and get a gift certificate. A bit of both worlds.
I love baby clothes, so I usually buy an outfit. But I make a handmade card to go along with the gift.
I usually make a handmade card, give a board book and a gift card.
Gift from registry with a handmade card.
I like to make a scrapbook page and put it in a frame. All the mom has to do is add a photo, and she can hang it in the baby’s room. I also bring a pack of diapers, usually size 2, because she gets a ton of newborn diapers and they grow so fast, so she’ll have the larger size when she’s ready.
I buy things from the store and arrange them in a clever way by using a basket, bucket or something else to hold the items instead of a standard box or bag. And of course I always include a handmade card!
The majority of the time is handmade. I am a crochet fanatic and always make a card and 3D projects.
I always do a mini 6×6 album so they can carry it around and if I know the name of the baby make up paper with the name on it too somewhere in the book. Recently I have started to do banners with the babies name and the theme of the nursery. I will do a basket of clothes with clothes pins I have added paint and paper to attached to twine, lay a blanket over top and the banner on top.
I always make handmade flannel burp cloths for every baby shower I attend. They’re quick and easy and I enjoy making them rather than buying things.
Lately, I have made some sort of birth sampler, either with paper or fabric. I loved getting homemade baby gifts.
I usually buy a gift from the new parent’s registry but I always make a matching card and gift wrap,of course!
My favorite baby shower gift to give is always handmade – whether a little knit cardigan, a crocheted pair of cowboy booties or a diaper cake – along with a handmade gift card holder with a gift card inside. The baby shoe dies are on my wish list, for sure!
My favorite gift to bring is a store bought item. New parents need a lot of stuff. Of course I also like to bring a handmade card as well.
As a former first grade teacher, I know the importance of reading, reading, reading to children; therefore, I
always give appropriate books to the new baby and family. Hopefully, if they have books early on, the reading will begin right away…it all makes a difference when it comes time for the child to begin reading.
I usually bring some books — ones that my kids enjoyed. And of course, a handmade card!
My favorite is some store bought and some handmade. I usually use their registry and then include something special for Mom AND Dad.
Besides a handmade baby card one of my favorite gifts to give is a baby book / keepsake journal called Your Birthday Book. It’s a great gift.
Usually I do a knitted afghan or baby sweater.
My favorite is to give a handmade gift. I have knitted a blanket, but it depends on the time element for me, but now I will be making baby booties from now on thanks to PTI!
I usually find something on their gift registry but make a card to attach to the gift. I also like to add a rattle or small toy to the bow or bag handle – it always adds to the packaging!
If I have time, I will make a quilt for the baby. I love knowing that it will be used for years, instead of months. It is fun to put the baby’s name on the quilt as well.
I usually do both. A basket with all the necessary items: diaper cream, Vaseline. Thermometer ,tempra and pacifier .
I also make 3 double sided receiving blanket and a large double sided minky blanket.
Homemade is my preference for favorite gifts to bring to a baby shower, especially personalized baby cards made with the Papertrey Ink Shape Up Series: Onsie die and the Night Night Moon, Bundle of Love and Hanging Out Stamp Sets. I love to make a scrapbook for the new parents and it is fun to embellish with all of my baby theme stamps and dies. In the non-homemade category 🙂 I love to bring a classic baby or toddler book to add to the new baby’s home library, because even a baby can never have too many books!! 🙂
What’s not to love about making a simple baby blanket using a cute cotton print with a flannel backing and cute trim? Throw in an explosion box so the new parents can add some cute pics of the new babe and I’ve got it done.
I try and make a quick and simple album so that the new Mom can easily document the baby’s first year. I even put little sticky’s where the photo should go. Not all of my friends are crafty. And then I make a dinner basket for the family so that they will have a quick and easy meal. I like this question and am enjoying reading what everyone does. Have a wonderful launch!
I usually do both. Especially for baby girls I do a lot of embroidery…for the boys I make patchwork blankets or baby sleeping bags…
I would rather give something I made, however I think at least half of the mothers to be would rather have shop bought!
My favorite thing to buy for a baby shower is medical supplies. I’m a nurse so I always want to make sure the mom has a quality thermometer and first aid kit on hand. 🙂
my favorite gift to bring is store bought. a baby bathtub filled with everything needed for a bath.
It’s going to be the baby shoes now!!
I always bring a pack of 25-30 thank you cards and the attendees are more than happy to address an envelope to themselves to help the new mom out. We then pick a name from the cards for a door prize. I also usually join with others to purchase a larger gift from their registry. We have a LARGE family and it is so nice to take care of some of those higher price needs!
My favorite gift to take to a baby shower is a scrapbook or photo album. For crafty mamas, I make a traditional scrapbook album they can add photos & journaling to. For moms who don’t typically papercraft, I make it a pocket style album with the journaling cards and embellishments included. Other times it’s an accordian album, with a memory keeper box. So fun to personalize the gift to the recipient 🙂
My favorite gift for a baby shower is to find a special blanket plus something big that they still need. I always include a special homemade card. Now I’m waiting for someone to have a shower so I can use the adorable new bootie dies! 🙂
Handmade
A soft snuggly Teddy Bear. Booties to go with him would be good too! Love those booties!
I like to make over sized crib quilts out of flannel. I make simple block and tied quilts using a variety of prints. I made one of these for my youngest daughter when she was a baby because she was such a restless sleeper and the small baby blankets didn’t work for her. They can be used later on a single bed as well.
I bring store bought baby clothes plus hand made card. Since I have 2 boys and no girl, I enjoy buying pretty dress for baby girl.
My favorite Baby gift is the musical cube.
i love giving baby blankets. homemade would be nice but i don’t have that skill.
I bring a handmade card and a gift from their registry.
For close friends and family I usually make a baby quilt. Otherwise I go in with friends for something the Mom has asked for.
Both! I give diapers, a crocheted baby blanket, and a handmade card.
I haven’t had any baby showers in many years, but I would say that I like to make something and buy something. Usually an outfit or two because I just love buying baby clothes!
Thanks so much for another great release!
I prefer to give handmade gifts. I quilt so usually give a crib quilt and of course a handmade card. I like to think my gift may end up being a family heirloom.
If I know the person well, I usually make a baby quilt.
My new favorite baby gift is a large decorative jar (vintage or Hobby Lobby has a nice selection)filled prettily with baby necessities like lotions, baby wash, wash clothes, bottles, booties, etc. Tie it up with a pretty ribbon and handmade tag that coordinates with the colors in the jar and it’s a “wow” gift.
We have had four new babies in our family since October. My gift to all has been a stack of handmade flannel receiving blankets and matching burp cloths (plus a few other fun items). Very well received and appreciated by all.
I always two things: a large pack of diapers (if they plan to use store bought diapers), and a book of Bible stories that my family loves and has used with all their kiddos. So, yes, the are all store bought. Thanks for this creative release! I have enjoyed it, as I always do.
A baby outfit and a handmade card – but I’m thinking now I will make the booties with a matching card 🙂
I almost always take handmade to a babyshower-often a handknit baby cap or a fleece/flannel blanket that I have sewed. Knowing that I can create makes it hard to purchase anything!
My favorite baby gift is a hand made, zip up the back sweater (gotta plan ahead for this one!). Otherwise, my new favorite gift is a pack of onesies and some colorful Etsy months 1-12 (or more!) stickers for all of those scheduled photo ops!
i don’t go to many baby showers, but when i have i usually get a cute little outfit at the store. love browsing through all the sweet baby clothes!
handmade, of course. Ususally sweater and booties, but always a custom card.
I usually buy a few things and make a little mini album, so it’s both!
I am currently in the process of crocheting a baby blanket for my best friend. She’s expecting in September. It’s a lot of work but so worth it!
I try making something by hand but I don’t always succeed!
I love to give diapers, a few cute outfits and something hand made. A former DT member made a baby tag blanket using the PTI animal dies to cut felt that she stitched onto the blanket. I’ve always remembered that project and it opened up (for me) more great uses for dies.
Both purchased and handmade. My 30-year-old daughter has had her own and tons of friends baby showers in the last 5 years and we both are practical gift givers: diapers, lotions, diaper creams, onesies, burp cloths, etc. No one-time-wear outfits for us. Then I usually include a set of handmade thank you’s and a crocheted pair of booties to tie to the gift or gift bag. Thanks for another great month of goodies and the chance to win!
I put together a gift basket of all the “favorite” baby products and then add a homemade card!
I usually give a gift from the registry but for my nieces and nephews I have made scrapbooks for baby’s first year where they can insert pictures. I always make a handmade card.
I always give a gift card and a few of the much needed items such as diapers, wipes and many times a scrapbook ready to add pictures by the busy new mom.
I normally buy from the store. Handmade gifts are cool, too, but I do not do that since I do not know the style of the mother. I also normally buy diapers because I know that they will be used. 🙂
What an absolute BEAUTIFUL release – thank you, Ladies for all your incredible work.
Handmade card is my usual accompaniment to a gift – for a Baby Shower 🙂
I like to give handmade scrapbooks and/or YL Gentle Babies Essential Oil (Great for Mom and Baby!)
I really want to give the new mom something they want, so I always buy store bought.
I like to make a mini quilt for the baby to carry around as their security blanket. I call it a “peanut butter and jelly” quilt, because it will have everything on it at some point in time! My grandkids love their’s. Eventually they use it for their dolls, stuffed animals, etc. And, of course, a handmade card and packaging are a must!
Usually I like to give a registry gift, and I always give a handmade card or tag for the gift!
I always like to give a handmade gift or certainly a handmade card with a gift in it.
I LOVE to make Handmade Gifts and Personalize them!! With ALL of the AMAZING PTI Products it sure makes it EASY too!! I CAN”T wait to make and giveaway those booties!! =) I’m gonna be THE TALK of the Shower!! =) HAHAHAHAHA!! THANKS PTI for all the AMAZING Products and Inspiration!! THANKS also for the chances to win!! Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
Usually I try to get something from their ‘wish list’ so it’s not homemade, but the card is!
Go to items are kids books and a swaddle. Or I have ordered several personalized name wood puzzles!
Usually a handmade gift. i have been knitting baby blankets lately for family members.
I buy the largest basket I can find and fill it with baby wipes and other small baby items need for bathing, etc. Then add socks, onesies, bibs and a blanket. Insert a frame that I decorate especially for boy/girl and a handmade Photo Folio for Mom to add pictures and details. Attach a hand made card and I’m done.
I usually buy a cute outfit. I loved receiving adorable little baby clothes when my children were young.
The card is always handmade, but I buy something from the registry or a gift card.
I usually buy baby clothes or a book. And I always make a handmade card.
My favorite gift is hand knit washcloths for the baby. I make sets of four and put them into white cupcake boxes (with four dividers, one for each washcloth) that I get at Michaels. Then I always buy an item off of the wish list if they have one. I try to do a bath themed gift if possible. Not everyone is into homemade gifts, but I love to give them.
My favorite things is diapers. You know they will use them and appreciate them!
I usually buy a gift from the store, because I am not good at sewing. When I was pregnant a year ago, my friend made a beautiful diaper bag for me and I loved it! I was very appreciate for her spending a lot of time. So I prefer to do handmade gift.
Baby clothes, purchased, from the registry and a handmade card.
A hooded bath towel along with something for mom!
I typically hand make the card, but haven’t been crafty enough to make the gift. But I’m so inspired to now with the baby booties set from this release!
It used to be aden + anais baby blankets and a FP glow seahorse but I think now it will be baby booties! (in addition:)
I love to make gift albums for new moms. I know how busy it can get taking care of little ones and so I make layouts with mats for 4×6 pictures and lots of room for journaling and suggestions for what the page could be (one time I did an alphabet theme another was a number theme.) I love creating this priceless gift.
To be totally honest, it really depends on how pressed for time I am. I love and prefer handmade, but sometimes I just don’t have the time and go with store bought. I always make sure the card is handmade.
I like to bring diapers (new parents can never have enough) and a handmade mini-scrapbook ready to put the first babyphotos in.
My favorite baby gift is a handmade name frame using the nursery colors and a matching card.
I usually pick clothes from the stores but now I would love to make booties from Erin’s patterns. And I make a card.
I always make a homemade card. If I know the colors and style of the nursery, I try to match the style and colors of the card to that. I love making baby cards:-)
Definately home made! A basket of essentials for Mum – Calpol, nappy rash cream, calendula oil and a minature bottle of gin for fun!
Handmade always…a baby blanket and a set of baby thank you cards or small photo book.
Don’t make it to too many baby showers, but I love that diaper cake thing that people do.
beautiful ideas, love the inspiration! 🙂
I absolutely love making handmade gifts for a baby shower. I have made albums to mark the first year milestones for my family members, and for friends, I always make a set of 20 thank you cards with a cute little box to be used later to store something special in as a momentous, and then I make a little burp cloth, blanket and rattle ball to match one another. As I see the release has these adorable little booties, that will be an item I will definitely purchase to add to gifts. Adorable!
I usually give both, handmade and one from baby store. I like to make photo album or blanket, depending on how much time I have, and of course also I always give a handmade card:)
I’m practical…it may sound silly but I give a baby wipe warmer and a carton of wipes because those cute little tushies deserve the comfort….along with a handmade card and gift certificate to a local store.
I give both, but handmade has much more love and thought going into it.
My favorite gifts to give are board books that were my own kids’ favorites or a Lands’ End baby blanket with their name embroidered on it if the shower is after the baby comes. This might change if I get the baby booties though 🙂
Definitely love the homemade gifts. A special teddy bear with sweater I knit. I used to do Moses Baskets, with a handmade blanket. Now I think a baby book, handmade of course! So many possibilities there. Love the new baby themes in this release!
My favorite gift is a shawl towel and bibs.
I like to bring our family’s favorite books for young ones and diapers. You can never have too many diapers with a newborn!!!
I typically buy a medicine kit since it tends to be something that new mom’s need but don’t buy. But I love the handmade gifts I got when I was expecting. They are the best!
I like to bring a combination. I try and make something personal like hand made craft for the babies room or an album of lullabies from my iTunes collection and always a handmade card. I also try to buy something from the registered gift list.
I like to give a handmade gift like a crochet blanket and also baby pajamas or clothes in different sizes. As the baby grows they will have a new outfit or pajamas.
I love to knit a little “blankie” for the baby. Moms always appreciate this portable gift and of course, a special card.
Great release again this month!
Always handmade–coordinated newborn bibs and embellished pre-fold diapers to use as burp cloths. These new booties dies have inspired me to change this up a bit. And of course it’s all topped-off with a handmade card 🙂
I like to bring a little of both handmade and store bought items. I tend to go overboard when buying for babies! I always make a handmade card and handmade tags for gifts. I also include a handmade mini brag album and a larger milestone album. I create pages for both albums, so mom can just insert pictures and add little sentiments or special items! It is a gift that lasts a lifetime! Oh and always an outfit or two….!
I’ve recently been making burp pads from cloth diapers.
I like to buy the gift which usually includes a book, but I love to make the card.
Would love to bring handmade! The last baby thing I made was a nappy bag organiser. Love all the baby crafting inspiration!
I prefer handmade gifts. I bought some cute patterns for baby booties and hats, but have yet to use it. (that whole prepare-ahead-of-time thing) Otherwise, I like to give board books or whatever is needed.
Handmade gifts! Crochet items and thank you cards
First of all, I love to have it all coordinate! Like all the cute projects yesterday! Second, I like to buy bigger size things. Otherwise they grow out of things too fast…
I would say half and half. I like to make something that’ll be useful for either baby or momma but tend to purchase something small off of the registry as well.
Handmade! I like to crochet a baby blanket. I might have to start making those super cute booties though:)
I always try to get something off the mother-to-be’s registry, but in addition, I always give a set of thank you cards with pre stamped envelopes. With a busy and slightly overwhelmed new mother, I’ve been told several times they’ve been very handy to have!
I will usually buy cute clothes or a blanket and make a handmade card.
I always bring store bought disposable diapers (you can never have too many of those)and onsies…I stamp on the onsies.
I usually bring something from their gift registry but I always try to add something a little different for the gift wrapping like a receiving blanket tied with ribbon. I don’t do bows very well so I will group a bunch of baby booties/socks together to form a flower for the top of the package.
I quite like to bring a pack of handmade thank you cards for the mom to be to use later on, a gift card to a favourite spa (gift for mom) plus some handstamped onesies for the little one …
I like best to bring a handmade card, a devotional book for mothers or a book/baby Bible for baby, and a sleeper or romper in the right colors for boy or girl.
I absolutely love to do handmade. I normally do something with the babies name, I’ve done the rose from Beauty & The Beast for a friend who named her daughter Bella. Stuff like that I love because it’s stuff you can’t get in stores!
One of my favorite baby gifts to give is an Angel Dear mini animal blankie…they are super soft and cute too!
That’s an easy question, I always hand knit a baby cardigan. I was so thrilled when “Knit Bits” was introduced as it happily enhanced my handmade gift.
I usually buy a gift but of course always make a homemade card. I don’t quilt but I love it when my mom makes a baby quilt. I enjoy watching the new mom light up when she opens up the precious package. She puts so much time and love into her quilts. I just might have to follow in her footsteps and learn how to quilt. 🙂
I have not gone to a baby shower in years so I’m not sure. I do send baby cards to some of my friends when they have a new grandchild.
Although I do love a handmade gift, it usually seems under appreciated. So . . . I go with the store bought so the recipient gets what they want.
I usually make a baby book and buy an outfit.
I love to make handmade gifts such as cards, another gifts I usually buy in baby stores))))
Beautiful release projects today! I love to bring handmade cards and handsewn blankets for baby gifts!
OK reposting because I think my post was deleted. I love buying baby gifts! They are sooo cute! I love getting cute onsies and other outfits…especially for baby girls…they are so cute! I like getting practical stuff too like diapers and bibs and bottles. So far I have only given store bought gifts..but would love to give homemade stuff one day when I have more time to make stuff.
I like to buy cute onesies, blankets and a soft teddy and include a handmade card and matching gift tag for a personal touch.
I like to give handmade gift. If it’s a girl….I give hairbows. If it’s a boy ….diapers.
My favorite gift is a handmade blanket, either crocheted or fannel. Instead of gift wrapping, I usually put it in a hand-decorated paper mache box, which mom can later use as a memory box.
I always give a handmade card with a coordinating tag. Usually I pick something off the gift registry. Now with the new dies I can add a homemade set of booties! I have a baby shower in June and this will be perfect! Thanks, PTI.
It depends on the person and what they have. Some of my friends are professional who have most everything ready and an outfit, or blanket or other typical gift is not what i like to give. I have found unique gifts along the way that are different, one comes to mind, the babies first tooth container in silver. It was a nice quality gift, unusual.
Store bought for me, but I usually hand make a baby card!
If they have a registry, I ususally get something from their registry, along with a handmade card. But I do like the idea of including some other handmade item along with the gift. I think it makes it more personal and unique.
It depends on the person. I love to give the baby memory paint cans. If I don’t make handmade items, I will always use a homemade card. Thanks for the great release!
A homecard always. Then health care products usually. Would LOVE to make the booties.
Children’s books are always perfect. I love the idea of a pack of handmade thank you notes too.
I like to make my gifts, booties, blankets, etc. but also usually include an adorable outfit from the store! I love buying tiny baby clothes!
Well since I just had a baby shower for my daughter I’d have to say Handmade! I was busy for a month prior and it was worth every night because she wound up taking alot of it home and hanging it in the baby’s room! I think handmade is so much better and comes from the heart! I can’t wait to get ahold of the baby show die to make her a set…or two 🙂
My favorite gift is books. They are great to use with a baby right from the beginning . Literacy can never start too soon! Of course, a handmade card to go with them is perfect!
I love to give handmade blankets and and a handmade card.
My favorite gift is handmade. I make albums that
just need the photos and crochet baby blankets
and also make a handmade card to go with the gift. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I love to get a really cute little outfit if I know what they are having just because it is so fun to shop for babies. I always make my card and try to something fun and different.
I make a quilt for every baby shower. My grandmother taught me to make quilts when I was in 8th grade. She said that babies always sleep better under a handmade quilt. It is something that always makes me think of her when I give my gift. And I always make a card that coordinates with the quilt.
I love to bring a handmade card, but store bought gift. I love to give books as gifts.
I always include something handmade sometimes a box of thank you cards or burp cloths
Books! Good Night Moon and I love you to the Moon and Back! I just think it always fits!
I love to give books with something handmade like a special rattle, booties, bib, etc.
For a baby shower it is both. I will usually bring something store bought and a handmade card and some other handmade gift. I love to sew up a bunch of flannel receiving blankets. I went through so many with my own children so I know they are a welcome treat. I think that flannel booties would be awesome to bring!
Although I don’t handmake the present (clothes) I usually top the present with a “boo boo bunny” made from a white, pink or blue washcloth. My son used to love boo boo bunnies. They soothed a lot of bumps.
I’ve enjoyed the couple of times I’ve made homemade ‘year’ books for their new baby, but usually I try and give them a copy of a couple of my family’s favorite books and a homemade card, of course:)
I think handmade is always so nice. I am going to one on Sunday and bringing some very simple thank you’s.
Store-bought gift with a beautiful hand-made card!
Empty freezer containers and a list of choices they will be filled with after the baby comes. Of course, this only works for local babies :-). Once the baby comes, I like to make something personalized or matching the nursery, like a glass block nightlight.
I actually go for the store- bought items like really cute Baby Gap clothes.
My favorite gift is a snugly baby blanket. Whether it’s homemade or not depends on how much time I have and who the gift is for.
A like to give story books and a children’s bible. And for something handmade a small quilt!
I love to make banners with the babies name on them in the colors and theme of the room so we can use it at the shower as decoration and the Mommy can put it in the babies room also. I love spending that time working on the project and thinking about the soon to be.
I usually bring handmade receiving blanket and matching silky set (made by my mom, since I don’t sew!;)) and I always make a handmade card, and usually a gift bag and tag.
It depends on the baby. I usually look over the registry and many times I will end up giving them a gift card so they can get what they need. With a new baby, there are many things that come up that you need and so this helps them to be able to get what they want without breaking their budget.
My favorite gift is store bought, but I always do a hand made card
My favorite gift is somewhat hand made. If I know the baby’s name I like to embroider it on a special blanket for the baby.
I’m a librarian, so I always give books. If it’s a close friend I might make something.
I like to give either a hand-knitted baby afghan blanket, or a pack of 10 handmade cards that the expectant mother can use as thank you or announcement cards when the baby arrives. Definitely handmade! Thanks for the fun week of beautiful inspiration. Can’t wait to use my new supplies when they arrive at my door!
I really enjoy making a pack of thank you cards, and depending on how well I know the person I also like to make a striped rag blanket! So handmade for me!
I do both handmade and purchased gifts. I LOVE to buy baby clothes and if the recipient is family or close I will crochet a baby afghan. Baby cards are so fun to make so I always include a handmade card. Can’t wait to get the booties die.
Handmade card with cash or gift card, along with a huge box of wipes and something knitted or crocheted. Usually toss in a couple outfits, too.
I do a little of both! The card is always handmade, but the gift could be store bought or handmade i.e. baby quilt or diaper cake!
My favorite gift to bring is handmade: a tiny baby-sized quilt, crafted with lots of love…and adorable fabrics. 🙂
I like to bring books for the baby. I am a teacher and I feel that reading starts early and that children should be read to from the beginning. Every child needs their own copy of “The Runaway Bunny”.
If it’s for a relative, I like to knit them a baby blanket. For anyone else, I hit the baby departments at the shopping mall. They have so many darling things for babies and I like to look at them all:)
I usually give a gift from their registry but always with a handmade card and/or tag.
I buy useful things like holder for pacifiers, bottle warmer or thing like that, that usually don’t lend on the mother-to-be’s wish list. When it comes to the handmade thing… I take care of some meals when the little guy or girl comes home so the new family can focus on taking care of themselves first 🙂
I purchase several items off the registry but always include side-snap undershirts and a package of diapers. A homemade card accompanies the gift.
A handmade blanket, either crochet or flannel with crochet around the edges.
Typically I give gifts from their registry (or clothes- I’m a sucker for baby clothes!!) and then include a set of handmade thank you cards for them to use. I love coordinating the thank you’s to their invite for the shower.
If time allows, I like to give a crocheted or knitted baby gift.
I don’t have a typical gift because each new mom is unique and has different needs. If the mom loves homemade things I would most likely provide one. I do always make a homemade baby card which is always well received.
I always include my handmade cards with the gifts and I always try my best to make my own handmade gifts…
I love to make a gift basket and I fill with onesis that I have decorated, a handmade receiving blanket with the baby’s name, handmade burp clothes and bibs. Then I include some little socks and other baby necessities. I also usually make them a diaper cake too.
I like to do both – usually the handmade items are more of a hit!
Love everything! My favorite baby gift is doing the invites, thank you’s, favors and decorations! So – HANDMADE – which is made way easier, “funner” and more impressive thanks to Papertrey!
Of course, handmade. I love to make little beautiful things.
I choose to bring books because they last longer than that cute onesie and because reading to children very early on is so good for their development. Thanks for the chance to win!
Some crochet handmade gift.
I make a card, I love making baby cards. I usually like giving diapers, not exciting but practical.
Typically store bought from the registry, I trend to go toward the ear thermometers etc. Always a homemade card. At the time of birth I give something homemade and personalized…framed name, mini scrapbook, etc.
I usually do both, a knitted blanket along with a store bought item. Of course I include a handmade card.
I try to give something homemade, but time always gets the best of me and end up hitting the store. I then think back to what I used the most – variety sizes of diapers, onsies, bath products, blankets.
Linda
I always bring a handmade card and something from the registry.
I typically take all handmade items. At the last one I made some fun blocks for baby to play with, a diaper cake with lots of fun accessories, a handmade baby basket with her initials for all her toys, and a shadow box with her name and some extras that matched her room! I LOVE making personalized items for baby showers!
By far, handmade gifts! I like to do onesies with stamped or appliquéd embellishments, knit booties or strip quilted bibs. Making things for babies is so much fun. I can’t wait to get the new bootie dies but fear I will be on a back order list.
Carol b(cc)
Burp cloths! You can never have too many.
I love bringing books and farm toys. We live on a farm, so we love to spread the love to the little ones.
I prefer to bring hand made gifts – I have given thank you note sets to the mom or stamped onsies. I also have made brag books where the mom can put photos in and journal.
I always bring a handmade card!! I usually try to bring something unique that nobody else would give like a pail filled with handmade thank you cards and small gifts, or outfit.
Of course, a handmade card and a diaper cake of some sort. We just gave a shower for my niece this past weekend and we made a diaper motorcycle since they love to ride their bike. She loved it. At other showers, I have had requests for diaper trikes or cakes “when they have a shower”. I also like to crochet around the edges of receiving blankets when I have the time or maybe knit a sweater for someone special.
I like to give sets of colorful, soft, unique “burp cloths” which I buy from my favorite seller on etsy. SHE handmakes them, not me…but they are still handmade. I bought some from her when my daughter was born six years ago, and now she uses them as doll blankets.
I usually buy something they need and want from the baby registry, but always attach a handmade baby card with it.
When I have time, I prefer to give something handmade like a mini scrapbook or nursery decoration. If time is short, store bought diapers and a cute outfit are great alternatives.
I’ve always bought the baby gifts I’ve given. I got a sewing machine from my kids last Christmas and went wild and made tons of thirsty burp cloths and receiving blankets so now I give homemade gifts. I always give a homemade baby card I’ve made using the “baby” word die from PTI.
My favorite gift to bring to a baby shower is usually handmade…I like to make scrapbooks for a new mama to put pictures in of her new creation.
Hmm, although I always make a handmade card I rarely give a handmade gift… unless it’s for my own grandchild… then they get a hand-crocheted blanket. Come to think of it I usually buy a blanket too for new babies not related to me!
I love to give handmade gifts like knitted baby booties and cards. I especially love to give books because you can never have enough!
I like to give a combo of both. I usually get something small off their registry list, and I add something homemade such as a mini brag book for pictures, homemade announcements, or something to hang on the wall in baby’s room that is personalized.
Handmade…I always make a set of cards with a set of postage stamped envelopes so the new mama can get thank yous done and mailed whenever she has a moment among the chaos!
My favourite gift to bring is a stuffie and a blanket. Only the card is handmade. : )
Thank you for the chance to win!
Like many other visitors to your blog, I like to bring a set of thank you cards. New moms usually get lots of gifts and thank you cards are something you don’t always think of purchasing. Fabulous release!
I love to knit or crochet a baby blanket and I sometimes buy a book to add to the gift.
I like to bring diapers, a big need for new moms. Or something off their wish list if they are registered somewhere.
Such an exciting release! I like to bring a bunch of necessary goodies for new (or veteran) mommies to baby showers! Hand sanitizer, portable dirty diaper baggies, changing mat, drape cloth for breast feeding. Most of these are store bought but I do like to support sewing crafters who make drapes. 🙂
I love making a mini baby book for the mom-to-be. all she has to do is add photos. i usually get the baby name in advance so i can include it in the book.
I love to bring both store bought and handmade. I always give several books, usually favorites of my kids and a hand knit sweater or blanket.
I like to make something for the baby and personalize the gift along with of course a handmade card.
My favorite gift to bring to a baby shower is always new clothes. Little ones can never have enough, but with a handmade card, of course!
I prefer handmade although I don’t always have the time, but I never come with a store bought card. I always make my own cards.
My favorite gift to give is both handmade and store bought . Depending on who I’m giving it to, at least a handmade card.
I love to give handmade gifts. Most of the time it is a book of firsts. I make different styles of books each time. Love the look on the person’s face when they see it.
First, I must say that I’m LOVING the “Recipe Cards”!
My favorite baby gift is a small stuffed toy that can be chewed on with gusto, whether I’ve bought it, or made it myself.
My favorite baby gift we’ve ever given, was my husband’s (61 year) old wooden baby hangers with animal heads attached. His mother saved EVERYTHING, and presenting these now-unattainable precious items to our artistic friends, was wonderful.
I love handmade gifts. I don’t have a go-to item, it could be a onsie, quilt, bibs, whatever seems most appropriate for what the person has or doesn’t have.
My favorite baby shower gift is a sleeper and matching blanket from Gymboree. They’re newborn soft knits are the best! 🙂
Handmade is best, but sometimes I just can’t resist the adorable tiny outfits *sigh* I was the diaper cake queen, then moved onto name banners, but have become enamored with the “card in a box” concept. I just made one with PTI dies….it’s beyond cute!
Thanks for a great release
I like to bring a selection of baby/toddler books & a bathing bundle (natural baby soap, lotion, towels, etc.).
My favorite gift is a nice tote filled with goodies for the baby. I also include a special handmade card that is customized for the person with the baby’s name if known. On my last baby shower I made a 5×7 card using the colors of the baby’s nursery with “Welcome Ellie” on the card. I included a nice frame so she could frame the card to put in the nursery. She loved it!
If I’m not giving a giftcard (delivered in something clever) it would be store bought, but always a homemade card!
i like to bring onesies with PTI die cuts from PTI felt that i’ve ironed on.
although just having been the guest of honor at a shower, i loved receiving gifts where other moms brought their favorite things with sticky notes explaining when to use each thing. that was wonderful and incredibly thoughtful.
Picture frames! There can never be too many pictures of a new bbay and family around!
If it’s an extended family member, then I make a handmade baby quilt. If it’s a friend, I make a card, but either way, the gift is handmade!
Both. I like to buy something they need of the registry, like a boppy and then make them a card.
I have not made them for a while, but I loved making cross stitched baby bibs with a Noah’s Ark pattern.
It goes without saying the card is handmade, but usually go for the store bought nicer dresses for girls or outfits for the boys…I have also bought several of those wonderful more expensive “booties” that look like the dies you now have!
I prefer handmade but often opt for a gift card as I know diapers, wipes, etc are an ongoing expense for new parents.I will usually include a little cross stitch item and of course, a handmade card created specifically for that baby
I always bring a crochet item, like a blanket, booties and hat. I love the idea of the thank you cards, I will have to do that next time!
Handmade from the heart is always better!!! Hugs!
My favorite baby gift has been knitting and felting baby booties…so sweet. I stamp images (usually from Hanging Out Stamp Set) on white kraft paper in colors to match a card I make and the booties. Sometimes I add a felted knit hat as well. Adorable! You can also stamp/adorn those little cardboard kraft suitcases and put your gift inside the suitcase. So fun!
I typically will do a handmade card to go together with some outfits that range in sizes from 3 – 12 months and always include a book.
Baby themed cakepops and a cute outfit for the new baby! These would be my gifts!
I like to make baby frames to take as gift. All the new die cuts are really nice to use for any gift for baby shower.
I crochet a baby blanket, a sweater with booties. Everyone already expects that from me and are disappointed if I don’t do it!
Funny I just did this a week or so ago. Handmade. I stitched up three burp cloths, a diaper cover and matching bib. All out of a fun fabric. Love to create a project filled with love!
Handmade for sure!
I usually give books because I think reading is one of the most important ways to teach and bond with our children…maybe I would also include those precious booties.
Well since this year I started Project Life, I’d have to say that a mini album and baby PL set would be my choice! I’d give anything to have that kind of record of my girls’ first years in life…
– April W
I love to give Aden and Anais Swaddling blankets or a Gro bag. I used both of these with my little one and loved them! I also sometimes like to make a “diaper cake” or “diaper cupcakes”.
I like combining practical storebought needs for the baby with handmade altered frame, personalized card or album… Making each unique!
I like a combination of both…a little handmade something and something from a registry.
I usually crochet a blanket, sweater and baby booties. Everyone expects this from me and are disappointed when I don’t bring it!
I love to make brag books that are ready to drop pics into. For moms who are having their 2nd or 3rd child, I make closet organizers with the baby sizes on them to sort all their hand-me-down clothes.
Usually I’d give a gift card or buy something that I know they really want. I am all for practical when it comes to gifts… but if I had those fabulous bootie dies, I’d be easily convinced to also take something home made. 🙂
Almost always hand made. Diaper cakes are always a hit. And when I can’t get something whipped up then i go for Unscented bath soap. You can never have enough soap once you have kids. Lol
My favorite gift is handmade. New mothers are always in need of sweet thank you notes for gifts they receive for the new little one … so I make a set of 12 handmade thank you gift cards as my gift to the new mother at baby showers.
I usually buy something organic – either onesies and/or baby blanket! Anyone that I’d be willing to knit for has had their kids already so I’ve never handknit anything for a shower.
My favorite gift is handmade, usually receiving blankets or a crib quilt and a matching card. Great new products!
My favorite gift to bring to a shower are books! I love starting a library for the little one with favorites from my own childhood – I still have some and the inscriptions inside are wonderful keepsakes and memories.
I don’t go to a lot of baby showers, but my usual gift is handmade thank you cards. I like to go through the mom-to-be’s registry and make cards to match the theme of the nursery. My mother also embroiders designs on little onsies for me to give. Of course, it will have to be handmade booties from now on!
I usually buy some onesies, and diapers. I do make a handmade card.
My gifts are usually store bought from the registry unless it is someone who I know will appreciate a handmade gift.
So far I’ve only given store bought items to mothers-to-be but now that I’m finished school and have more time I’d love to start with making baby cards for future showers, and things like these new booty dies open up a whole new world of possibilities! I know someone who makes her own fabric baby books for her close friends, I’d love to do something like that one day!
I usually give both. A handmade gift that includes store bought items, for example: Diaper cakes, cupcakes made of onesies and booties. I also give a handmade name frame.
Usually the gift is store bought and the card handmade. Generally Lots of onesies and a toy.
Well – I always make the card and often the gift bag – I usually like to give a special book and a cute outfit depending on the needs of the new mum!
I’m a knitter and a sewer so I try to make something personalized for the mom because the baby is the focus and gets all the treats and mom sometimes gets forgotten :). Of course, I always include a handmade card as well!
I love to make something personal. I usually cross stitch something with the colors of the baby’s room. And, of course, purchase some super cute clothes.
My “go-to” gift for showers (baby and bridal) is a big stack of handmade thank you cards. After the shower, the honoree has the chore of writing lots of thank you cards. Why not make it a bit more fun (and easier) by supplying her with beautiful cards that are ready to send and so much more special than store-bought note cards!?! For babies, I always cross-stitch a sampler for the nursery. Last month, I had 2 babies born exactly 2.5 days apart. I was a stitching fool, but I managed to get them done!
I accompany a store-bought gift with a handmade card.
I like to give a collection of our favorite children’s books, a hand smocked dress for a girl or overalls for a boy. If they live close to me I include handmade gift certificates for babysitting, homemade meals and household chores. I also like to celebrate at 6, 9 and 12 months with a repeat of the certificates.
Usually some of both! =)
I love to make handmade burp cloths and of course cute baby clothes.
My favorite is handmade, but I do both. Handmade card of course, but also handmade soaps and lotions for mom and baby.
I love to bring a basket full of essentials. That way they get some stuff that I think was essential when I had my son, but also a little bit of storage too. 🙂 Fab release, I am so excited for tonight!!!
Lauren
The baby gift is usually store bought, but the card is hand made. If it’s a grandchild, then I will usually make something special.
My favorite baby shower gift is a baby tub filled with bath products and towels. I tend to be cautious with handmade gifts. Unless I know the colors and style of the nursery, I don’t give handmade so that I don’t impose my aesthetics upon the family.
My go too for the moment is a stack of cute little thank you cards and envelopes, hand made of course.
I like to take a book to the shower and then after the baby arrives I frame and quill the announcement.
Oh my, it has been a gazillion years since I last went to a baby shower! Back then, I did a lot of crocheting, so my gift was usually a little blanket or sweater and hat.
My favorite thing to bring to a baby shower is a handmade crocheted blanket.
I’ve only made a couple of baby quilts so far, but I love to give those! Of course, that’s a lot of work, so if I don’t know the person as well, I buy a few baby outfits.
My fav is handmade knitted sweater and hat set. I gave many of them to my friends when they were expecting and a crocheted or knit baby blanket. Of course my mother made them all and my friends knew it but loved it all the more because she put so much love into each one.
Handmade card and something from gift registry.
I usually buy what they want off the registry, or a gift card. I also make a set of note cards that can be used for Thank You notes.
For baby showers I like to buy practical gifts from the store for baby and always include a box of handmade note cards for Mom.
A handmade card and a gift from the registry! Thanks for this amazingly generous chance to win!
What a fantastic release! I like to bring handmade items. I always make the shower card, and sometimes I even brink a baby quilt.
Diapers. It’s a crappy gift but lets face it – you need them. I also usually include some baby themed thank you notes (handmade, of course).
My favorite baby shower gifts are ones that include my favorites. Then I like to pick those items in a way to create a cute little theme. Of course, that theme is carried over to the card and packaging 😉
For the card always handmade. For the gift usually store bought from a registry especially if the baby is babieS (twins or triplets).
My gifts have changed a ton since actually having a baby, and are now quite a bit more practical (ie, diapers and supplies). I always choose a theme and I always give at least one book to encourage reading right off the bat (I’m a speech pathologist). Often I go with a bedtime theme and give books, pajamas, diapers, blankets, lotion, etc.
Haven’t actually been to a baby shower lately, but have sent gifts after the baby’s birth. In this case, I make a homemade card to include with a little baby outfit and a subway print with all their birth details. These have been SO well received. Years ago I used to crochet baby afghans, a sweater and matching booties.
A set of handmade thank you notes, something from the registry, and a book or two.
My favorite gifts for a baby shower are always a copy of the Robert Munsch book “Love you Forever”, several large (homemade) receiving blankets, and a couple of personalized onsies.
Clothes of course are always super fun to buy and give! But the two things I’ve put together for the last two showers I went to (and probably my favorite gifts to give to date) were a diaper tricycle and a bath time basket full of goodies to use during and after bath time. Handmade (or hand put together) gifts are definitely the best!
I usually bring a store bought gift. Whenever I’m in a store and I see the adorable little baby clothes I can’t resist them! I do include a handmade card with my gift though!
It depends on the mother. If I know she would appreciate handmade items, I will try to at least incorporate something handmade. For one of my niece’s first babies I stamped some onesies with images from the Bitty Baby Blessings set. Otherwise, I give a store-bought gift and either spruce up the wrapping/bag with some handcrafted embellishments and/or include a handcrafted card.
I love including my children’s favorite storybooks with any baby shower gift so I guess my answer is store bought.
Such gorgeous projects & release!
Probably I would bring a store bought gift & a handmade card 🙂
A baby quilt with matching bedding, handmade by me.
I love giving cards and a store or online bought gift where the new mom can use a lot 🙂
Having raised boys, I love an excuse to shop for baby girl clothes. I always give a book too!
I like to make homemade things as much as possible. The last baby shower I went to I made a changing pad…a couple of bibs…and a baby’s first year scrapbook for the first time mom.
I also like to give a homemade card and a mini baby scrapbook. I also like to give a gift from the registry or diapers (you can never have enough diapers). 🙂
I usually do a mix…. always a set of handmade thank-you cards, with a sentiment inside so that the tired new mama doesn’t have to write too much! I pair them with my very favorite set of toy blocks (when I can find them in the store) and/or a beautiful, colorful onesie from my fave baby boutique.
Handmade paper decorations and favors are my favourite!
I usually ask my sister to crochet a baby blanket and sweater set. She does the best work. I will add a book to the gift also.
I’ve really only made one handmade gift…a changing pad for the new grandmother, but other than that, I usually do store bought because of the registry. Handmade card with it for sure though! 😉
My favourite gift is a framed picture (handmade, of course) and baby clothes 🙂 And a handmade card 🙂 The best gift I have received was a handmade baby quilt, one of the most used and most loved items in our household 🙂
I love to bring hand made gifts to baby showers, but most of the time I bring both. I try to match the hand made gift to the store bought one. I create the gift according to the recipients taste. But for boys I make blankets or personilized onesies and for girls shoes and headbands. LOVE the bootie dies!!!:)
Thanks for all you do and share!
Have a wonderful day!
I usually bring something handmade. The last gift I gave was a mini album, ready to add pictures.
I mostly do store bought because I’m only crafty when it comes to making cards. Of course there would be a special handmade card.
Handmade… those BABY BOOTIES will be the icing on the DIAPER CAKE!!
Last year I made a motorcycle out of diapers and other baby items (as seen on Pinterest, of course!). Her husband owns a motorcycle shop, so it was perfect for them.
I generally go with the very practical gift card. After having twins I realized how many things you need after they’re born that you never dreamed of!
If time allows, I love to give handmade quilt. I always include a homemade card.
I always bring a handmade baby album! Love to use stamps , dies and my silhouette .
My favorite gift was one I brought to a shower recently actually. It was (for Yankees fans) a baby knitted Yankee hat and a onesie with a Yankees logo and the number 1 and their last name on the back. They absolutely loved it and I got to support Etsy shops in the process! I always turn to Etsy for unique gifts. And of course they loved my handmade card!
I like to give the new parents an exer-saucer. I have twin sons that will be 30 in June and back then we didn’t have all of this fun baby “stuff”. I would have loved to have an exer-saucer that they could sit in and entertain themselves for a few minutes. I also give a handmade card!
I really enjoy bringing a handmade blanket that the baby will just love :).
I do both, I usually make scrapbook ready to go and also a gift card from the store Mom has registered at.
My favorite gift is store bought. I usually buy a few outfits, put them on clothespins attached to a rope, and have the rope sticking out of the bag. Once they pull the rope, they take out a clothsline. It usually gets a lot of points for presentation!
I usually buy a gift from the registry, but will make a card.
I like to give the Jesus Storybook Bible, and then usually a storebought something which depends on the mom, or my stash of gifts. I have also given thank-you notes. And of course a handmade card which always gets passed around.
Usually store bought clothing and most definitely something handmade to put a personal touch to the gift.
I enjoy taking handmade things. My sister and I make diaper cakes, usually 3-tier. Then we decorate it with store bought baby items. It turns out so cute.
I would love the gift to be handmade but time doesn’t usually allow. I end up running to the store at the last minute and buying something.
Generally handmade, by my mom! She crochets around outing flannel to make large receiving blankets. Everyone who gets them loves them!
Of course I make a handmade card, a scrapebook or baby announcement cards with a space for picture. We’ll now I’ll be give the booties!
Love buying cute baby clothes for the little one and of course a handmade cute baby card.
so far,if it’s someone special and/or a special baby (first girl after a bunch of boys!) i love trumpette socks. they’re all so adorable its painful to pick just one set & everyone ive given them to loves them & uses them for as many babies as possible. otherwise, im still trying to find a standard baby gift that is affordable, unique & most importantly customizable for the special friend and baby!
So much to love with this release. PTI always impresses!!! I may be alone on this but I love gift registries because I know that the new parents really want the gift I am purchasing for them.
Love making handmade items, but I would love trying out the booties for a little one along with a cute little card.
I usually pick out an item from the couple’s baby registry and usually I like to get at least a very practical baby item along with a cute outfit.
My favorite gift is handmade. I like to make baby blankets, or a baby scrapbook where the person only has to fill in the pictures for each month of the baby’s first year. Thanks for the chance to win.
I usually make a card and will buy a gift from their registry. One handmade gift I sometimes make is a hooded towel cape to wrap baby in after a bath with a matching wash mitt.
I love bringing a cute diaper cake along with a cute baby scrapbook ready to be filled by the parents.
I love making gifts for my friends baby showers. I usually buy cloth diapers and ornament with ribbon or lace, also bought white onesis to add the number of months of the baby, this can take beautiful photos every month and if it’s a girl, my favorite, make headbands with with fabric flowers.
LOVE the new releases! My favorite gift is a handmade card and tag attached to a basket full of goodies that a new mom will need such as a onesie, diapers, lotion, etc.
I usually give diapers and wipes. Lame but when I had my twins it was a huge blessing to be given these as gifts! I also make a hooded towel that they can use for many years as they grow. Then after they have the baby I give frozen meals that they can use one to two months after because when they stop sleeping all the time is when you need someone to bring a meal. I am the mother of nine. So, yes, no fluff, just good sensible gifts. 🙂
I usually try to bring a handmade gift. Sometimes I do both. It depends on the person I am giving the gift to.
I always try to give something handmade.
I always make a handmade card and love to bring a cute little outfit in a larger size. I do not sew or crochet or knit. Good ideas above, making a set of thank you cards.
I always make a card, then buy something store bought, that will change when i get my hands on all your new baby dies and stamps, love the bootie die so adorable, would make the sweetest baby gift!
I make handmade gifts for all occasions. It’s more personal and from the heart….
My favorite baby shower gift is a diaper cake that I make and inbetween the diaper layers are onesies, outfits, hats, socks,& the middle hold the bigger items like thermometer, baby wash etc. and of course there are the hanging toys. It gets shrink wraped with a large bow and a large “recipe” Tag which includes all the items in the diaper. Now they don’t have to open it at the shower but will know everything inside. This tag hangs right next to my hand made card card.
Hugs
I love to give the softest baby blanket I can find and a homemade card.
The card is always handcrafted! The gift depends on the person but usually I create a mini scrapbook that just needs pictures!
Onesies. Thinking of stamping images on white onesies and copic coloring them.
I love to bring a diaper cake and her thank you notes … all hand made of course. I can’t wait to add these adorable booties!!
I usually make bibs or burp cloths, or extra special people I would make a quilt.
My favorite baby gifts are always handmade. Usually I’ll knit a a sweet little baby blanket with a crocheted edge. And of course, a handmade card always goes along with it!
A little of both. Something purchased from the registry and maybe something handmade. The packaging and card is usually handmade.
I love making something handmade but I usually add something store bought as well.
Right now I love to make a diaper bag with matching burp cloths and bibs… and of course a handmade card to go with it! 🙂
Always a handmade card and usually something from baby Gap – always ahit
My favorite gift to bring is always a handmade baby blanket. I’m a knitter and a quilter so depending on how much notice I am given, usually depends on whether its a knitted blanket or a quilted one.
My favorite gift to bring to a baby shower would be a handmade baby blanket along with a couple of store bought packs of baby diapers.
I love to bring knitted, handmade items that will keep baby warm & cozy! Always unique & usually a keepsake for future generations!
Definitely handmade item is my favorite, like baby photo album or photo frame not forget handmade card also.
As boring as it is, I really like to take diapers for various ages and then dress it up with a toy or bib or something cute. So usually it’s something bought, but now I can dress it up with handmade booties!!
Definitely a handmade card and the rest is usually store bought. Something from their registry.
I love to personalize a baby card along with some thank you cards for the mom. This is joined by a store bought item, usually clothing because I love looking through all the adorable outfits for just the right thing. Now I will have to include some booties!
Home made thank you cards = YES! A little onesie to go with it, or a picture frame ; ) FABULOUS release and inspiration as always!!
Handmade all the way!
I love bringing handmade gifts!! I am a knitter so I knit blankets, and my mother in law quilts, so I usually bring one of each! This is an especially poignant question for me because my baby shower is this Saturday and I can’t wait! I know I will be receiving some handmade blankies and I can’t wait to see them!!! 🙂
Actually, I do both. I make a baby memory box and fill it with some handmade things for remembering special moments. I then put it in a basket with other small store bought items that people sometimes overlook because they focus on the big items.
I’m waiting for baby born and made a pair of felt shoes.
And so glad that PTI produced baby booties die in this release. No more hand cut.
I have a new favorite gift to take to a baby shower–a homemade diaper cake! I just made a monster truck diaper cake for a baby shower a few weeks ago, with of course a handmade card using Baby Button Bits! It was really cute!
Chris L.
Handmade is sweet and sentimental, but I usually go with store-bought from their registry; they get exactly what they need/want. Or else a couple of cute outfits.
I will make a card for sure. Then depending on my time, I will either make a gift or buy one. For my granddaughter’s shower, I overdid it with a crocheted blanket and sewn crib set!
My favorite gift to give is a baby bag and a hand made card.
There haven’t been many baby gifts lately, but the last one I did make – an adorable changing table cloth – laminated on one side, which would fold up and button closed for taking it on the go. I made the gift card too – and I think the gift card got more attention than the changing cloth! LOL! I really do prefer making gifts for almost everything except perhaps weddings, although I do make the cards for those.
Whatever inspires me…sometimes its store bought and sometimes its handmade, now it will be booties lots and lots of booties.
I always like to combine something handmade (quilt, cards or butterfly mobile) with something bought (usually from the future moms registry). I’m envisioning lots and lots of handmade booties all across the USA! Great die set!
Let me first start by saying this has been a great release! As far as baby gifts, as much as I would love to give handmade gifts, I can never seem to find the time, so it’s usually something store bought. Maybe the baby booties will kick me into gear!
I usually cross stitch a design and then add it to bibs. I then pick something from the registry and add something for mommy too.
My favorite baby shower gift is a (purchased) calendar–one that is blank so the new parents fill in the months, starting with the newborn’s birth month. I like the ease of using the included stickers to capture all those special “firsts.”
I love to make homemade gifts. I usually crochet a baby afghan for a gift. Thanks so much for another fabulous release!
I usually make something small and purchase something on their baby registry. So I know they are getting something they need/want – along with something handmade.
A handmade three story diaper cake with hand stamped decorations and a handmade/stamped card.
Store bought – love to shop for clothes for cuddly, adorable, sweet, new babies! A handmade card accompanies the gift.
My traditional baby gift is books. My girls grew up reading and I always like to help new parents start to build their library. I always have such fun picking out favorites from when my girls were little–it’s like a trip down memory lane.
A handmade quilt. It’s a labor of love.
My favorite gift is always handmade. I usually crochet a baby blanket or made a bath towel with terry cloth and embroider the name with cross stitch. Thanks for the chance!
I like to give a Cloud B turtle night light. I put it in a gift bag and use cloth diapers instead of tissue paper. A home made card accompanies it of course.
I do both too, but I prefer a gift handmade with love and care! Loved the baby booties and all the projects shown here!
I usually try and get something store bought that I know they will need, even if it is just diapers. But I also always try and include something hand made with it!
I like to give a mini scrapbook/brag book for future use.
I always make a quilt for my besties babies, and a taggy blanky for others. Gorgeous products! Thanks for the opportunity!
I always make a month by month 8×8 scrapbook, so you can out a pix in for every month and see the baby’s growth in one year!
Handmade definitely! and the next series of baby gifts I give will include the adorable booties!! I’m going to be making soon!! : )
Thanks so much for a great release and a chance to win : )
Patti
Forgot to add…in case you are interested, this is my all time favorite, go to gift. It was a huge favorite in our house for years, and almost no one already has it. My 16 year old still has some of these poems memorized. http://www.amazon.com/Read-Aloud-Rhymes-Very-Young-Prelutsky/dp/0394872185/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400170766&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=readable+for+the+very+young+marc
I ALWAYS make a card, and packaging, and get something from the registry.. BUT those new booty dies will change my way of gifting! HAHA!!
FANTASTIC projects PTI team!!!
I like store bought with handmade packaging. Although now with those cute boogie dies, I may not have to buy another baby gift again!!
I typically make something handmade that the family will be able to use/keep for a long time, like a memory book or wall hanging. I don’t have children of my own, so it’s always fun to make baby gifts!
I like to give them a handmade card and something off the gift registry.
I always do a combination of handmade and store bought. I make the packaging – usually a basket decorated with handmade items such as flowers, bows, etc. I then fill the basket with store bought items. The card is also handmade of course!
Thanks soo much for all the wonderful inspiration and the opportunity to win! I think those cakes made out of rolled diapers look too cute but I have never made one. Usually I just go with a gift card from Wal-mart since they are open in the wee hours when running out of formula or diapers could be a disaster!
I like to bring a handmade card, most of the time the gift is something from their registry.
I crochet a sweater, hat, booties and blanket matching set and make a diaper cake and card. Things from the heart are the best gifts! But then I also go in with family members to get a large gift that’s needed by the family for the baby too.
I usually buy cute clothes and diapers.
I bring both. I will have a handmade card. My mother makes beautiful blankets so I will usually have one of those. Then I also like to get something from the registry. Sometimes I also can’t resist some cute baby clothes.
