Envelope wraps are cute. Have you or anyone else thought about the mail processing of these envelopes if they are mailed? Working at the Post Office, I can see beautiful cards damaged if the wrap is not adhered completely to the envelope. That means the tails and the cut out in the back. There should be a clean space on the bottom front and back of the envelope to allow bar coding to be sprayed on. I don’t want to be a kill joy, but I also don’t want to see damaged cards because of decorated envelopes.
Danielle Flanders says
Yes, I agree, Deb. In the video, I mentioned that you should run the wrap through the Xyron machine to make sure the entire wrap will adhere properly! If not mailing, these will make cute designs to dress up an envelope on a package or in a gift bag as well. If you don’t feel comfortable making the wrap on a card that will be mailed, feel free to take some of these ideas and stamp directly onto the envelope also to dress it up.
Thanks!
Danielle
