We're thrilled to be bringing you a fabulous new collection of products today, inspired by the gorgeous oak tree.  Strong and sure, the oak is much-loved and we're excited for you to see what we've created with this beauty in mind.

This clean and simple woodgrain tree trunk and the twenty-seven varieties of interchangeable leaves is designed to coordinate with our Cover Plate: Mighty Oak die for endless possibilities.  The beautiful sentiments will tuck perfectly into the right hand corner of the Cover Plate die for easy design options.  The classic, simple shape of the leaves allows them to be used for other applications, such as flowers, backgrounds, borders and so much more!

The Details:

  • Mighty Oak will be available for purchase on August 15th.
  • It will retail for $24.
  • Mighty Oak contains a total of 35 images.  The trunk measures 3-5/8" x 2-1/4".  The leaves each measure 1" x 3/8".  "Every leaf speaks bliss to me…" sentiment measures 1-7/8" x 7/8".  "Friends like you don't grow on trees!" measures 1-7/8" x 3/4".
  • A coordinating cover plate die will be available for sale separately, retailing for $18.  This collection includes a total of 2 dies.  They measure 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" (A), 1-3/4" x 1-1/8"- individually 1" x 3/8" (B).

Now that I've made all of the formal introductions, let's get onto the projects!

Every Leaf Card
For my first project I wanted to highlight just how clean and simple you can go!  I die-cut the Cover Plate: Mighty Oak from Vintage Cream cardstock and popped out all of the pieces.

Leaves 1
I stamped all of the leaves using Canyon Clay, Simply Chartreuse, Ocean Tides and Classic Kraft inks.

I lay the leftover Cover Plate: Mighty Oak die-cut over the front of my Classic Kraft card front.  After I stamped each leaf, working my way around, I would adhere them into place through the Cover Plate as a guide.  Lastly, I removed the Cover Plate and I was left with this beautiful arrangement!  There's no need to worry about design or balance because all of the hard work is already done for you!

The fonts in this new set are some of my favorites.  Not to mention, how in love I am with this particular quote.  I stamped it in Vintage Cream in the lower corner.

I swiped a bit of Vintage Cream ink around the edges to help ground the tree.

Sweetest Fruit Card
For my second project I really wanted to experiment a bit with cork.

Cork texture
I die-cut the Cover Plate: Mighty Oak from adhesive cork and adhered the negative to a white card front.  I just love the texture it adds.

I die-cut all of the leaves from white cardstock and stamped them using Scarlet Jewel, Autumn Rose and Lavender Moon.

I stamped the sentiment directly onto the cork using True Black ink.  To go along with the sentiment, I die-cut and stamped one of the smaller apple images from Apple Prints and "hung" it from one of the branches in the tree.

This same type of technique would be fun to do with felt!

Thank You Medallion Card
For my last project I wanted to do something other than a tree with all these basic leaf shapes.

I decided to create a medallion.  I started with Smokey Shadow cardstock and added the medallion pieces with VersaMark ink.  I then brushed on Perfect Pearls to make all those gorgeous details pop.

A tiny rhinestone flower was the perfect finishing touch to the center of the medallion.

The last thing I added was the sentiment from Basket of Blessings, again in VersaMark and Perfect Pearls.
