Cool card.
I noticed you use zip dry glue. How do you keep it from clogging the tip?

hi Myrna, I usually just use my paper piercer tool to unclog the tip before I use it. I also store my bottle upside down in one of my tool cups and that seems to help as well. -Heather

I love Make It Monday techniques and this week is another reason why…I never would have thought of using aluminum tape with impression plates. Super cute masculine card. I really need help with masculine cards so this is especially a great MIM.

Love this card. Where can I get the aluminum tape?
Anna Jernigan says
How cool. I have been using this very same tape for a little over a year. Try putting it right onto cardstock and using punches. The cardstock gives extra sturdiness to it, so you can add dimentional pop dots to it and it stays nice and flat. Also, works like a dream to die cut. Stars, hearts, and other dies look fabulous. Don’t forget border punches! The aluminum won’t hurt them, because lots of us use foil to sharpen the punches anyway. Ha. (just a note: this will stain your hands black with use, so be aware, so don’t mess up your card projects) It’s not cost-prohibitive, and lasts a long time. I have used it on cardstock and made an impression of the entire front, but, personally I think it looks the greatest as embellishments.

Linda, go to Home Depot, and look in the hardware section, or better yet: ask for help, and they will lead you to it. Good luck, I love it. I have also used it to make credit card holders, just stuck it to the fabric then sewed around it. It helps to deflect those devices that supposedly copy your credit card numbers. Security purposes. All my peeps loved them.

What, I can’t spell now? Sorry, I meant “dimensional”..egads, I just got so excited to see you use that same tape! LOL Funny, because I saw my husbands roll, and said, can I have some of this? I used it on cards, but, on cardstock first, for the sturdy feel of it. I, also made little wallet covers with fabric, and this tape, to secure credit cards from those devices that people can use to steal numbers. The alumunium deflects those devices from working, apparently. Everyone loved them.

Seriously to cool!
