Cindi Loizeaux says
My own. I am married to my best friend and love of my life. We complete each other in ways we couldn’t even have imagined. Best love story ever.
Kathy Hering says
Fact!
Kathy W says
My favorite love story is my own. After thinking I’d never find love again, I went to a dance, and the first person to ask me to dance was the kindest, most facinating man (also a great dancer)….my husband and I have been together now for eleven years and are still on our honeymoon.
Debra Abel says
Wow if only! Well heres hoping! Thanks for the chance, love your stamps and dies.
Voegelchen says
My own, because I am married with the best husband ever đ
Debbie says
I love (especially at this time of year) the story in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Merry Christmas everyone!
Chris Cross says
I love “Bridges of Madison County!”
Michelle Philippi says
Gotta be my parents. They met as pen pals when my mother was in high school and my father was in the Army serving in the Vietnam war. They fell in love…got married….had children…and then my father died from Agent Orange contract in Vietnam. More to the story, of course, but it’s the classic full circle story….happy beginning…love….children…bittersweet ending.
Lori Oglesby says
I’d have to say my own. I found my true love after 35 years of waiting! I couldn’t imagine life without him. Due to my diabetes and age we never imagined getting to have a child but we were blessed with a daughter. This was 9 years ago and our daughter is approaching 8. It’s my favorite love story!!!!!!!
Ohhh Snap says
Lucy Stone and her husband Henry Blackwell đ
Alison Christensen says
Ours, amazingly enough… I was on a flight to Tasmania to join a camping trip when this gorgeous man sat next to me. We spoke very little on the hour long flight. As I assembled with other travellers in Launceston, that same man was there… very Mills & Boonish!
We have now been married for 28 years on January 7 and have supported each other through the stillbirth of our first daughter, cancer battles as well as celebrated many precious moments… he is all I could ever ask for and I am blessed to share my life with him.
Aimee says
My favorite romance is the twilight series… I know it is current but to me it just shows how love can win the day… your stamps are awesome..
Liz H says
My favourite love story is fiction – Mr Darcy and Miss Bennett in Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. I have loved this story since I was a child. I still love to read it, and I never get sick of it.
Sunny Penn says
My favorite love story is “the NOTEBOOK”.
katevdp says
My favourite movie growing up, that I loved watching with my mum, is “West Side Story” – Tony & Maria. A beautiful love story, great music, and still, makes me cry – even though I’ve seen it a hundred time!
Shelly says
My husband is wonderful, and I love our love story… but who doesn’t love a little “Rhett and Scarlett” now and then? lol
Linda Monroe says
My favorite love story is SHREK. You gotta love a story when the chubby quirky girl is perfect as is and gets the guy without changing into a beautiful princess. I love that story and thinks it’s such a good role model for our young ladies who are given such unrealistic beauty role models from the media. Love Fiona!! Go girl.
Sheryl C says
I’ve always loved Cinderella! Although I really like hearing any Happily Ever After love story, real or imagined.
Beth S says
My favorite love story is Anne of Green Gables – Anne Shirley and Gilbert Blythe. I was so happy (and surprised!) to see it in a stamp! It’s such a great story and they are such an amazing couple.

Kathryn B says
My favorite love story is mine because after all these years I’ve met the love of my life. He is everything good and makes me whole! What a wonderful Life!
Kathie Duffy says
My favorite fictional love story I would have to say is the Twilight series… The struggles that take place, loving two people but only being in love with one, the one you know that you belong with for the rest of your life, is the hardest thing on the heart. It happens every day in real life. I think it’s the connection between them, and the fierce need to protect each other is what sold me on the books and now the movies, not to mention I love Vampire Love Stories đ
Alison Christensen says
Ours amazingly enough. I was on a flight to Tasmania to start a camping trip when a gorgeous man sat next to me on the plane. We did not speak much on the flight but I was very aware of his presence. As I assembled with my fellow travellers at Launceston airport, there he was again… as the trip continued, we ended up together – the last thing either of us expected.
We will celebrate our 28th anniversary in early January and have supported each other through shocking events like the stillbirth of our first daughter and cancer battles, as well as celebrated countless special moments.
I am blessed to be able to share my life with such a gentle and creative person.
Stephanie says
My favourite romance is fictional- and it is the one from Tangled (adaptation of Rapunzel)…. there’s just something about that animated film that I love so much! And it helped that I liked the voice actors!
Carol says
My love story is truly the one that still gives me tingles. I met the love of my life one day and felt an instant swell in my heart. The next time I saw him (2 weeks later) he took my hand and said “I will never let go”. 20+ years later my heart still jumps when I see him walk in the room.
Kelly Schirmer says
Okay, this may sound weird but it’s early now and what popped into my head first :0! When I saw the John and Yoko pairing on the stamp image, I thought of other Hollywood couples that seem like great couples. My fave? Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, hee! And I love their movie Overboard…giggle!
Indah says
I love Rahul and Anjali on the movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The story between best friends who loves each other is so touching!
Karen Walker says
There are lots of favorite romance movies, but I’ll stick with my own—we’ve been married nearly 40 years, and I wouldn’t change a thing!
Vickie Johnson says
My love story. We have been married 33 years and counting. We have had hard times, sad times, but at the end of the day – he is the one I want to be by my side. He is the one I want to grow old with. I love him the mostest. I hope I win this contest! LOL
Stephanie J says
I don’t have a favorite love story – I’m a hopeless romantic at heart, and love them all!
Audrey Tokach says
Definately my own. My husband and I met online and it was a whirlwind romance from the start. He was in the Marine Corps, stationed 500 miles away, and he drove to see me EVERY weekend until he was deloyed to Japan 3 months later. He called me on his way to Japan and proposed. He got down on one knee with a beautiful ring 6 months later when he got home, and we were married 6 months later. He is one of my greatest gifts, and without a doubt, my best friend and soul mate.
Mary Anne Perlmutter says
My favorite story is Home for the Holidays. Jack Black has been my movie star boy friend for a long time. How can you not fall in love with snow and fireplaces. My husband is my real love story. I finally said “I do” when I was 37. It was worth the wait.

Mindy W says
I LOVE the love story in the movie Titanic!!!!
gladys says
Fictional. It will be Twilight! love it!
Amrita says
It’s hard to pick just one! Real: my own. Fictional: Beauty and the Beast or Pride and Prejudice. I think I love love stories where love isn’t at first sight and rather grows over time. My own was the same way! đ
Kay Demonbren says
Don’t laugh- my favorite love story is “Beauty and the Beast”, it’s actually a very powerful story, and my duaghter and I watch it over. and over. and over…

I look forward to the PTI countdown every month!
Christine says
My favorite love story to watch is “Princess Bride”! I don’t think that movie ever gets old for me.
Luanne Ford says
Next to mine….? My favorite book of all time is Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is based of the book of Hosea from the Bible. It’s not just about patient love for his bride, but God’s amazing patient love for us. If you haven’t read it, get it – you won’t be able to put it down!
Sue FitzGerald says
I guess I’d have to say my own. Movie romance is fine and enjoyable to watch but real feeling of having someone you love beside you can’t be beaten.
kathleena says
My favorite love stories are the everyday ones – couples who met, through chance or circumstance, and immediately know they would be together for life. I take great inspiration from those couples who stick together through good times or bad. When you ask them about it, the good times always outweigh the bad. I have been lucky enough to have my own great love story for 11 years!
see mary stamp says
My favorite fictional love story is Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes in a delightful series of books by Laurie R. King that starts with The Beekeeper’s Apprentice. My favorite factual love story is me and my dear hubby of 28 years. I’m blessed to have him in my life.
Lindsey says
My favorite love story is that of some dear family friends. It was told to me when I was 12, and it’s still my favorite love story after almost 15 years. It’s too long to share the details here, but involves an accidental “kidnapping” at Thanksgiving, which is probably the most hilarious part…ahhh…I’m laughing now just thinking about it.

The story line of Jaime and Auralia in the movie Love Actually! The whole movie is my favorite but that’s definitely the best love story line! All you need is love as they say!

I have to say The Notebook. It’s such a tender story of life’s journey and you can feel and relate to all the emotions so clearly. It may be fiction, but I believe that in real life, there are many stories like this one and we can all learn so much by watching such a well-crafted story.
Christine B. says

Alyssa Byron says
The Notebook. Without a doubt! The movie version not the book đ
Sarah says
My parents. They were married on Dec. 24th in the middle of a blizzard. The rabai never showed so they were married by the band leader who happened to be a cantor. Even now that my father has passed away the love my mom has for him is amazing.
Beverly BL says
My favorite is my sister’s love story. Mom and Dad thought the age difference was too great and she was too young(a freshman, age 14) to date this guy in high school (he was a sr. and going off to college), though Mom and Dad did allow one date for a special dance. He married someone else. She married someone else when she was 40. Her husband died. His wife died. They finally got together and dated for 16 years. Then he got smart and asked her to marry him, after she had given up on that ever happening. She just turned 70 and he’s almost 75 and they are crazy happy and as silly as high schoolers. It is fun to watch.

My favourite fictional love story is that of Bathsheba Everdene and Gabriel Oak in Thomas Hardy’s novel ‘Far From the Madding Crowd’ set in 19th century England. It tells the story of a headstrong, beautiful young girl who spurns the love of big-hearted Gabriel. He always loves her and finally, after suffering much, she realises she loves him too and marries him. It is a desperately romantic story of a love that lasts over many years.

I’d have to say the Christmas story. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life”. I didn’t understand just how amazing that love must be until I had a son of my own.

My fav love story is our personal one & I like to tell that I “picked my husband out of a crowd from across the room”. A casual acquaintance wanted me to date his friend, but when I wasn’t impressed, he said he knew everyone at this office-related function, so if I wanted to meet anyone, just point him out. To my horror he immediately brought my now husband of 33 years over after I unwittingly pointed him out — I owe that precious man so much more than he’ll ever realize!!!
Merry Christmas to all at Papertrey Ink — keep up the fabulous creativity in 2012!!!

His friends told her when they got back that he was the only soldier who never went to the bars or the “girlie clubs” because he loved his wife so much. She wrote him every day while he was gone. He was a faithful, loving husband to her for 69 years until his death this year at age 91. Truly the greatest generation!

The true-life love stories are the ones that really mean something to me. My grandparents are the couple I most revere when it comes to lifelong love and devotion. I remember spending time with them in the summer when I was a child. They always seemed to be connected, even when they weren’t touching. They would dance together through the kitchen or grin at each other from across the room and I would hope with all my heart to find that kind of love some day. My grandfather took care of my grandmother when she developed Alzheimer’s Disease and he was with her when she passed away at home. They loved each other so completely and it was so evident to everyone that met them.
Holly F. says

It’s actually a miniseries of North and South. I love the romance between Orry and Madeline and how hard they fought to be with each other and survived against all odds. Their acting was superb and it’s a timeless classic for me. There really needs to be more men like him who never give up no matter what. He had honor, dignity and integrity.

I would have to say my favorite love story in my own with my husband. We met on the Internet 10 years ago. He “courted” me for a month and then flew to visit me for 3 weeks. He then flew me out to the midwest where he lived and we visited his family. We flew back to my home and got married after knowing each other for only 3 months. Would I recommend this for everyone? No. But, you see, he was 81 and I was 58. We celebrate 10 years of blessings together on March 1st. My husband has given me the adventure of a lifetime. We’ve traveled extensively. Worked hard at various tasks together. Enjoyed many wonderful times with our melded families. He bought me my own airplane and I learned to fly at age 62. And at home, we lead a quiet life, just enjoying each other’s company. Thank you for the opportunity to share this with you.
Christine Rogus says
My Great Grandparents!! They are still alive at 94 and 91 and she can still tell me the story like it was yesterday. Here’s a short summary. They met at a church dance. My Great Grandfather kept pursuing her, but my Great Grandmother wanted nothing to do with him. Then one day my Great Grandfather was searching a river bed for freshwater pearls, and fell in. He managed to somehow get out and to safety. He became very ill. My Great Grandmother found out and rushed to his bedside. They were never apart since then. Married 74 years!!! Inspiration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!! That is a hard one. I have to say it is between Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austin, Wives & Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell, Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery, or Wuthering Heights by Emily Brinte. I guess you can see the theme of 19th Century British all over me.
Barbara M. says
Oh my, this is a hard question! I think I’ll have to pick Harry and Sally from When Harry met Sally, although Pride and Prejudice’s Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy are a favorite as well.
Toni Storie says
I’m not such a romantic type of gal, but my grandparents have a pretty great story. He went out on one date with my Great Aunt before he starting dating my Grandmother. Then, they didn’t date long before they married as he was in the service and on his way to Europe during WWII. They survived his disabling injury, troubles with fertility, and desperate poverty to build one happy and healthy family. They will have their 70th wedding anniversary in a few short months!

So many love stories, so hard to choose. But one that stands out is “50 First Dates” with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Despite her disability, he loves her so much that he finds a way to make it work. “The Notebook” is another favorite story of love overcoming obstacles.
Allyson says
Well, I am a total Jane Austen junkie, so it’s a toss up for me between Lizzy/Mr. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice) and Eleanor/Edward (Sense & Sensibility). Definitely my own. My husband and I met at the age of 15 on a Milwaukee public city bus, he joined the Navy at age 19, and we were married 2 years later. We endured many separations (7 six-month deployments, along with many other “shorter” deployments) during his 20 years in the Navy. And these deployments were before email was available, gasp! He has been retired 10 years now, been married 28 years, and we still cherish and enjoy every moment we can spend together. Navy deployments will make you appreciate what you have when it’s not there!

My in-laws–married 68 years, surviving WWII, cancer, heart ailments and four children (that is a survival category of its own!). Their secrets include compromise, patience, LOVE (and low batteries on their hearing aids).
Their son is my best friend and DH who learned to be a ‘patient man’ from his sweet daddy.
Fictionally speaking I really enjoy the Anne of Green Gables story (but for humor and schmooz, try Love Actually or Unconditional Love).

Grace C. says
I love Pride and Prejudice, West Side Story and many other love stories in books and film, but my own starts with myself as a child, unloved and rejected. I married a controlling man thinking he loved me…only to end in a train wreck of a divorce 22 yrs later…but…during that time I heard the gospel for the first time and learned that God loved me enough to send His Son to die for me. I will never experience the human love of a man and I thank God for those who do have awesome marriages, but I am whole, complete and content with the only Love that matters to me – the love of Jesus.

Mine would my husband and I. Our birthday s are 5 days apart. We were best friends before we became boyfriend/girlfriend. Once we were BF/GF, I told him we were meant to be because back in the 70’s our moms spent long times in the hospital and since we born at the same hospital only 5 days apart, our paths crossed then, then again 18 years later. We have been together for 22 years, married 17 of those years.

Oh my goodness…. how to choose?! Literarily speaking, Pride and Prejudice is by far my favorite love story. Their love transforms each of them into better people, and it is based on mutual respect for one another, not lust or anything else. (The fact that he’s insanely rich is just icing on the cake!) Theatrically speaking, I’d have to say that… oh gosh…. Lea Lawson says
This is going to seem morbid…but Romeo & Juliet. I know that they die in the end, but I just can’t get over how far two people were willing to go in order to be able to love each other. I loved reading this play every time we had to in school, and I read it quite often on my own growing up. When they re-did the movie with a more contemporary feel….I was in heaven! It is one of my favorite movies to date.
Thanks for giving us the chance to win!!
Veronica Z says
Wow, now this is a tough one to narrow down, although I am embarrased to admit it, Titanic would probably be my #1 choice, with Pride and Prejudice following in a close second.
Susie Lessard says
After years of searching for his soul-mate, our son, fell in love with the youngest daughter of long time Navy friends. Her father served with my husband and her mother has been one of my dearest friends for years. We’ve known them before our daughter-in-law was ever born. To watch our children take their vows was one of the most wonderful moments of my life. Our mothers eyes and hearts looked across the isle and we both smiled. We had both prayed for many years that our children would find the right mate – we just didn’t know that our Lord intended our children to be together. They were married in Sedona, Arizona October 2, 2008 and are both the joy of all our lives.
Lisa says
My favorite love story belongs to my youngest son. He grew up as a missionary kid in West Africa, grew up, went to college, and got his first career job in a tiny town in North Dakota where he met a young lady who had grown up in the same West African country. (God’s plans are perfect.) They were married in July, dancing out after the ceremony to the beat of some great African music.
And now the sequel: The groom’s older brother (back living in West Africa) is dating the bride’s older sister. She will visit him there for Christmas. Might there be a ring under the Christmas tree?
Karen says
Definately Pride and Prejudice! Mr. Darcy and Miss Bennett, the BBC mini-series, swoon . . .

Diana F says
My favorite love story is…sheesh this is hard because I am a sucker for love stories. An oldie but goodie would have to be Love Story with Ryan O’Neil and Ali McGraw and a bit newer would have to be 27 Dresses. But actually I love them all, but more preferably with a comic touch.
Thanks so much for sharing all the wonderful projects this month and for the chance to win.
Renee S. says

MJ (good_day1214) says
My own… it may not be anything fabulous or spectacular (well, to me it is!), but we’ve created our story with our own sense of off-beat style and low-key flair over the past 3 years. Love my hubby with all my heart…
Suzie says
My favorite love story has to be mine. My husband and I met thanks to a mutual friend. First “date”, we both KNEW we were soul mates. We married two months later, despite many of our friends and family saying we would never make it (in fact, his dad and my mother didn’t even GO to the wedding). This last Monday, we celebrated our 19th year together and still going strong.

Kelle Williams says
Oh, how I hate to admit it, but I have to say “The Notebook”. I pride myself on not getting swept up by trends and stereotypes. For that reason, I chose to not see “The Notebook”. I wasn’t going to buy into any of the ridiculously sappy non-sense. A few years ago, I was channel surfing while paper-crafting and found a marathon showing of “The Notebook”. With no other options, I gave in and watched the movie. Half of my projects were ruined by the tears from my bawling and I watched the movie 3 times in a row. Instant addict. I think that I’m so drawn to it because Alzheimer’s runs in both my husband’s and my family and the story is very real and very possible. Doesn’t hurt that Ryan Gosling is so dreamy and charming!
Lisa G. says
I would have to say my parents. On their first date my father told my mother that one day he would marry her, well 58 years later their love is still going stong.
Connie Smith says
My favorite love story is the amazing marriage of our parents. Both my husband’s and mine. We always talk about how having parents that were still married. Back when we were younger and you use to talk about divorce and step families that was something you were kind of hush hush about and these days it’s almost unheard of to have parents that are still married. My parents were married 34 years before my mom passed from cancer and my husbands parents made it to 50 years this past January before his mom passed from cancer just recently. What a wonderful love story they both had. They toughed it out through everything. They struggled and fought now and then but no matter what, they worked through it together and were stronger for it. We aspire to be more like them every day. Thank you for the opportunity to win such an amazing prize package.
S Fink says
I am blessed to be married to a man who is humble, kind, loving, patient, a good listener, and sticks with me through thick and thin. What better love story could there be? 29 years and not only going strong but getting stronger.

Gosh, so many to choose from: “Romancing the Stone” was fun. “Grease” is another good girl, bad boy romance. But if I have to pick just one, it would be “Ghost” about a love that transcends even death. “Ditto”
Diana Fleming says
My favorite love story is from the movie “Frankie and Johnny” with Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino. Love it.

Through all this, we have grown closer to God and to each other. We are very blessed!

When I was a little girl, I actually loved the story of the Thornbirds. It was quite mesmerizing and covered so many aspects of love – for people, for god. Love can be complicated at times. While fictional, a more real and inspiring story is that of my parents who just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on December 7th. They make it look so easy and they have supported each other through thick and thin. Love can be an amazing journey.

Probably my daughter’s. Its still evolving, but I was on the phone with her when the first date invitation came in by email – I got to hear that initial excitement and watch the relationship bloom, struggle, gel, from afar. She and he share their joy in each other and are best friends, best confidents and true life partners doing more amazing things because of each other than I could have ever expected. This is a story I will continue to follow with delight.

That’s a tough one – I love a good romance in books & movies. I think my favorite is Gilbert & Anne from the Anne of Green Gables series. Thanks for a great release & loads of inspiration!

Trell says
The last one that I saw, Disney The Princess and the Frog. Such a cute story.
Tracy says
This will sound silly but as I thought about the question, the first one that popped into my head was the movie Overboard from the early 90s I think with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, it is just so cute, and then of course always love a Nora Roberts story and Titanic is a great one as well. Thanks for chance to win and love the new release, especially the snowmen!
Peggy says
‘Gone with the Wind’. I was 12 and living outside Rapid City, SD for the summer. My father was a B52 Pilot in the Air Force. The runways were being repaved at the airbase we were stationed at so they moved the B52 squadron to a different base for the summer. Since it was summer families were able to go also if they wanted. Not that a twelve year old would be impressed with leaving home for three months to a place with thunder storms and hail stones the size of golf balls and baseballs. So the highlight of my summer was seeing Rhett and Scarlett when the movie was released. It made the summer a memory!
Laura Quiggle says
Somersby with Jody Foster. Amazing love story!!! It’s in my top ten movies.
Tracy says
That is so beautiful!! Happy Holidays!

It is my own story…I met Luc at 31. We began dating in late Nov 2005, and new by the second date that this was “it”. In March 2006, I found out my Dad was dying. It was very important to me to have my Dad at my wedding, so Luc, being the most wonderful man in the world, jumped into my life with both feet, and we married each other 7 weeks later. My Dad was strong enough to walk me down the aisle, and have our father-daughter dance. It meant the world to me, and Luc & I have celebrated our 6th anniversary this year. Sadly, my Dad passed away in September 2006, but he got to see his daughter marry the love of her life.

And of course, me & hubby =) We kind of have a funny story…..I was introduced to him by my best friend and I ended up asking him out. We dated for a year, and then we broke up. About 5 years later, he was looking at personal ads online with his best friend (who had just found a girlfriend online and she later became his wife!) His friend found one that he said sounded perfect for him (my hubby). My hubby looked at it and after reading through it, recognized my e-mail. We later got back together & ended up getting married. So we like to joke that his best friend found me for him!!

The greatest love story of all time (in my opinion) is my own. My husband and I have been married for 26 years and have been through more than most marriages. We have 3 sons and one special daughter who was born with severe heart, lung and GI issues as well as being developmentally delayed. She passed away last year at the age of 22… she was never expected to make it past childhood – she was and is truly a miracle and a blessing to us. She suffered much pain, many surgeries, countless hospitalizations and procedures – yet kept a smile on her face and love in her heart. Although it wasn’t easy to maintain a strong marriage as we faced so many challenges along the way, we’ve always been committed to our marriage and to our children. My husband and I love each other more now than every before and know that our daughter is smiling down on us. Our sons have been amazing through it all and we are a very close family. You see… a love story isn’t only about a husband and wife… it’s about them, their children and God together as a unit.

She lives two hours away from me, so I don’t see her nearly as often as I would like. When I saw the two of them on Thanksgiving, it was the happiest I have seen her in many years.

She’s had a crush on him ever since, and even though they both dated others through high school and shortly after, once they finally dated each other, it was a done deal. She still gets butterflies when he comes into the room, and they are so SO in love with each other, it’s the sweetest thing!!

I would have to say that my favorite love story is that of my mother and father. What makes it my favorite is, over 10 years ago, my father had a heart attack in the middle of the night and it was my mother who did CPR while calling 911 and saved his life. Ever since then, he has called her “My Little Angel” for saving him that night. To me, that is the greatest love story!

How awesome is the fact that God loved (and loves) each and every one of us so much that He sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins and has made a place for us in heaven to be with Him forever. A girl went to CHA looking for scrapbooking supplies and saw a booth with an extremely long line of customers. She wondered what was the hype was all about, so she stood in line for about 30 minutes! As soon as she saw the first card case, which showcased designs for the CHA exclusive stamp set, she was intrigued. As she walked deeper and deeper into the booth, she saw so many cards made by the design team and was so head over heels with the stamp sets that she went through the line two more times just to decide what to buy. When she took the stamps home that night and they peeled off of the plastic like butter and she kissed them to the paper, she was forever in love!!!
