Dies are some of the most versatile tools in your stamping arsenal. Much more useful than just using the die cut piece. Lisa's joining us today with a new video. Consider it a nice little reminder to look at those dies in an entirely new light.
A few photos to wet your whistle:
If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.
–A new Make It Monday Challenge & video will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.
–Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product of some kind and using dies to mask off an image on your project.
–Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).
–Add your link to our —>InLinkz List<—
-You will have until 7am, Monday, April 18th, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win. And you can enter as many times as you like.
–We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project. These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye. The tweets/Facebook postings no longer have any special merit regarding the actual contest.
–One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday, April 18th, after 7am. The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook. The randomly selected winner will get to select a FREE Papertrey stamp set of their choice!
Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing your projects!

I can only speak for me and how I feel…
but I love the MIM videos…
and though I may not always say it…
I look forward to each one every week.
For me…with all the tips and information the designers give…
and being a visual person versus just instructional…
I equate these videos as a free card class from some incredibly uber talented ladies that I would never have access to otherwise…
and deeply appreciate them and all of their efforts.
Thank you so much for starting these…
each week has been truly inspiring.
Now…
if all these incredible ladies could just bottle some of their talent and sell me some…
I would be good to go!

Hi Lisa,
Great video and great tips… I had not thought to put a light score line on the paper to create a stitching line, thanks so much… Nor have I tried a removable glue stick but I really liked the idea of using the negative part of the die cut to create the leaf. These videos have been a great source of information and you are a wonderful instructor. Thanks again!!

Great tutorial. I have done this technique using the dress form die, but from your video, I learned using repositional glue ia a great asset. (something I didn’t do) Also your tip on not putting the entire cardstock through the cuttlebug when die cutting with the edgers was also very helpful. Loved your button tying technique too!
Thanks for taking the time to do this, especially since you have little ones, and your time is precious.
