Happy Spring everyone! This week's Make It Monday Video is a nod to all the color that will soon be brightening up our surroundings. Jennifer Ellefson, Nichole's Gal Friday and PTI's Customer Service Liason, is busting out the Copics in a fresh way. We all know they look great on neutral colored cardstock (think white, cream, and kraft), but they can add shading and depth to colored cardstocks with almost no effort. Click the play button to learn more.
If you are joining along this week, here are the details concerning the Make It Monday Challenge.
–A new Make It Monday Challenge & video will go up every Monday morning at 9am EST.
–Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product of some kind and add color with markers or colored pencils to non-neutral colored cardstock.
–Post your project on your blog, in your gallery or on any other photo-hosting site (such as photobucket or flickr).
—Add your link to our —->InLinkz List<—-
–You will have until 7am, Monday, March 28th, to add your link to the list to be eligible to win. And you can enter as many times as you like.
–We will be tweeting and posting on our Facebook page every night (between 5-9pm EST) highlighting a Featured Project. These tweets/Facebook postings will just be a shout-out regarding projects that caught our eye. The tweets/Facebook postings no longer have any special merit regarding the actual contest.
–One randomly selected winner will be chosen from ALL the entries on Monday, March 28th, after 7am. The winner will be posted here on this blog post, on Twitter and Facebook. The randomly selected winner will get to select a FREE Papertrey stamp set of their choice!
Good luck to everyone and we look forward to seeing your projects!
EDITED TO ADD RANDOMLY SELECTED WINNER:
Congrats to Joy Taylor! She is this weeks randomly selected winner! Joy, please be sure to email customer service with your free selected stamp set and shipping information! And thanks to everyone who played along this week! All of the creations were absolutely stunning!

I really loved this MIM, Jen. I learned so much. I don’t know why I never thought to color on colored paper. That just might help me with my big time shading problem. I can not wait to give it a try.

Jenn, loved your video. You seemed so at ease with your presentation and it was easy to follow your instructions. I’ll have to try using colored cardstock – I’ve never done that.

I was wondering if you could answer some PTI trivia for me – I’ve always been curious…
What is the best selling PTI stamp set ever?
What is the most popular colour?
How many orders do you get in a month (ballpark)?
What is your busiest month?
Anything else you can think of, I’m sure I (and perhaps others) have wondered it.
Thx.

I spottet a brilliant way to make shed loads of money online making blogs. I presume this is probably for the website administrator but there are probably more bloggers reading this. Iâve made thousands using the techniques described in the product and itâs only been 2 months.

As always, great MIM video. I’m sitting in my stamp room here creating away, and trying to do a border all the way around the card with sticky strip and glitter. I am struggling trying to keep my sticky strip straight, and to get the corners to line up….thought to myself – this is a video for Nicole to make. After all, I see you use that technique a lot – and I LOVE it!!!

It was so much fun doing this! Love the ideas you give us on the Mondays, fabulous challenge to try something you wouldn’t normally do! Love it and just put my project in!

Wow I am so far behind the copic craze. I learned a lot from Jennifer. Thank you so much for the tips!

Great video, but I strained to hear what was being said…I think you have a technical issue that needs attention. I will be back…great info. Thanks.
Rae Haller says
Info looked good, but I was unable to hear anything that was being said. I even held the laptop speakers right next to my ears, something, but not enough to tell what was being said. Even though there was no sound, the card was great, and the shading from the copics on colored cs was such a good idea too.

Thanks for a new twist on the use of my copics and cardstock. I love the idea of taking the lightest shade of cardstock and deepening the tones to create dimensional work in a fraction of the time and amount of ink needed. Wonderful job Jenn!

The words you need by the people you admire, such as the: Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. College isn’t the place to go for ideas. Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there’s a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see. Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content. Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light.
