We have been back together for over 3 years and married for a little over a year. I am so head over heels in love with him and so thankful that he was brought back into my life.

Dawn Nikol says
I’m a big sucker for “The Notebook”. I mean, come on… he reads their story to her to help her remember day in and day out, while he’s really sick himself and then they make their way to Heaven together? It’s really sad from their children’s point of view, but still a seriously sickeningly sweet story.
However, I will say that I wouldn’t trade my own story for any story in the world. We met at a bar and were inseperable from that first date. We have been together for nearly 7 years (married for ~3) and just had a little girl who makes our world so complete.
It doesn’t get any better than that.
Thanks for the chance to win!

Lea Ann H. says
My favorite love story is the one of when my dad met my mom. They were both attending a political rally, and some friends decided they should be together. So, the friends “abandoned” dad, and left him to get a ride home with mom. That, as that say, was that! They were married a few years later and their union lasted nearly 52 years.
Joyce M says
Oh, favorites are always so hard to pick. there are so many good ones. I love those chick flicks like “You’ve Got Mail”, and “Sleepless in Seatle” I don’t really like a romance novel, but those wonderful historical novels like something written by Janette Oke or Laurraine Snelling. I love my love story! In high school I dropped by a local pizza place and I spied the CUTEST guy tossing pizzas in the back. Being the giddy high school girl I was, I took my best friend back the next day to check him out. Turned out she had gone to Elementary School with him, so she knew him! She introduced us and we went out to the local hang out that night. We’ve known each other for 22 yrs now and have been married for 17yrs this past September. All because I went to the pizza parlor on the right night!! 🙂

He passed away about 20 years ago now, and my gram is still here…waiting patiently to be with her man again. 🙂

I adored the long, slow love story of Gilbert and Anne in the Anne of Green Gables books and always wanted that kind of story for myself. Mine was quite different. I went on a cruise to Tahiti by myself and my husband was working on board the ship. He came to visit me a couple of weeks later, and we were married a year after that. It’s been 21 years so I think it’s safe to say that sometimes those shipboard romances really do work out!
Andrea M says
Hummm, my favorite love story…my own is pretty darn good 🙂 I’m married to the most awesome man ever.
I’m not a huge romantic so a lot of really romantic movies are lost on me. One of my favorite, sweet love stories is in the movie Sweet Home Alabama. Oh my goodness, also have to give props to the pixar movie, UP – I cried like a baby during the first bit of that movie. So touching!

Being a military spouse, I have an appreciation for my favorite love story. It comes in the form of a book, The Last Valentine by James Micheal Pratt. It is one of those books that is a keeper because you can go back and read it again and again. It is about a couple during WWII and how the wife finally receives her last Valentine 50 years later. Ther is actually more to the story which makes it so special..but you will have to read yourself to discover. Have the Kleenex box near by with this one:)

stephany zerbe ♥ says
My favorite love story is from the movie Bridges of Madison County.
It tells the story of an unlikely romance that blossoms between a world weary National Geographic photographer, and a woman who has settled into the routine of farm life in the American Midwest. When Robert Kincaid turns into her driveway lost, map in hand, looking for covered bridges to photograph, Francesca Johnson offers to show him where to find his subject. Left alone for a few days, while her husband Richard and their two teenaged children have gone to a livestock fair, Francesca gives in to this spontaneous impulse, and sets in motion the mechanism of the broader story.
It fit my life back in the late 90s.
I love it to this day! Thanks for asking.
Now what is yours?

I also love the movie The Notebook, but my fave love story is how I met my husband. We were both in the military. We met while stationed thousands of miles away from home. The incredible part was that both our families lived (and still live) basically in the same town. It was just amazing that it took living thousands of miles away from home to finally meet each other. We wonder if we had ever seen each other before that, but never met.
Gabriela says
I have so many… the last two books that I read that were so romantic and wonderful were..

I like my love story the most! We met in college almost 6 years ago. Each day that I look back on how we met and fell in love, I realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful man in my life. I feel that I am lucky to have a man that treats me like a lady and spoils me rotten! I also like the Twilight romance!
annheidel says

Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson and the Notebook by Nicholas Sparks – both are awesome stories.

I think I will have to go with Love Actually. It has tons of well-known British talent. It makes me laugh and cry alot each and every time I see it. It is a movie about several love stories that all intertwine in some way. And it centers around Christmas, my favorite time of year:)
SusieQ says
My favorite love story is between my latest puppy mill rescue and her new mom. They were made for each other. Sofia is very bright but also very nervous. Her mom is calm and totally committed to helping Sofia learn a new life outside of a crate. Just helping these dogs is the love of my life and why I was put on this earth.
Helen F. says
My favorite love story is “Out of Africa” with Meryl Streep and (swooooon) Robert Redford. Hmmm, probably really dating myself here ;o) Thanks for an awesome December Release, Nicole!
Darlene L says
Favorite love story–my dd and her dh. They are such a cute couple. She knew he was the one when her very protective dog fell in love with him too. They met on-line (not through a group or anything) just searching out profiles for someone who shared the same interests: car racing and football. They have now been married 10 years and about to celebrate their miracle baby’s first bday.
Laura Onosato says

I loved “As Good as it Gets” … Jack Nicholson has the best line. “You make me want to be a better person.” Isn’t that what’s it’s all about?
Shawnna Samples says
I love the movie The Notebook — totally pulls at my heart strings – and my own prince charming is pretty spectacular as well 🙂
Tanya says
My favorite love story is You’ve Got Mail.
Ngan R. says
My favorite love story in a movie is Serendipity. It is a fun and quirky movie, not an entirely traditional love story, and one of the best scenes is shot in winter in NY! The couple’s love expands and survives over time, seasons, and other relationships. It is a story that makes you feel like waiting for your dream guy and then taking that leap is perfectly ok and normal, rather than rush off to be with someone “right now.” I waited and I scored big–I am so happy and in love with my husband, who, among other things, encourages me to stamp and craft to my heart’s content! Thanks for a fun and “lovable” release PTI!
Renee says
My favorite love story is found in the Bible. How awesome is the Father’s love for me, that he would send his only son to die for me.

Kristi Lewis says
Mine is probably “While You Were Sleeping”-it was the first movie I saw with my future hubby (our first date)I also love “The Notebook” and “Fools Rush In”.
Heidi U. says
One of my favorites (there are many) is the movie “The Notebook.” This story is about love that transcends time, space, age and even memory. It is about love that never dies and overcomes everything else. I have seen it probably 30 times, and I still get teared up and thrilled and my heart is warmed each and every time!
Amy G. says
Okay, it would be easy to say Pride and Prejudice or Little Women here, but that would be boring, right? As a school librarian, I now judge a good story by how well it “reads” to a group of elementary students. My pick for a love story is “Porcupining: A Prickly Love Story.” It really is hard for a porcupine to find love. 🙂
Jamie Greene says
I like all love stories! I love to watch romantic comedies, I love reading romance books and sometimes I even love my husband! Just kidding I always love my husband.
nina says
I love Ghost – bittersweet but so romantic. Love Unchained Melody in that movie too…
Kathy G says
My favorite love story has to be Jamie and Claire in the Outlander series of books by Diana Gabaldon. (I love all things Scottish!!) My other favorite is Moonstruck with Cher, and Nicholas Cage. I love the scene when she shows up at the Met for the opera, and she takes his breath away when he sees her all dressed up.
Lisa Petrella says
My favorite love story—When Harry Met Sally!! Must’ve seen that movie about a hundred times during my college days!!! Never in a million years thought I’d find my own “Harry” and now here I am with the best husband in the world! We’ve been married for 9 years and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him!!!
Tricia Dee says
My very favorite is the story of Christmas, the coming of Emmanuel,
God with us! I’m also a fan of Jane Austen, especially Pride and Prejudice.
Suzanne says
Mine – meeting my husband was meant to be. I attended a wedding that I was not invited to as my best friend and her boyfriend were going. It was a small town – what can I say? there wasn’t much else to do! That night I met Jason … who happened to be my best friend’s boyfriends cousin. We hit it off that night, but didn’t see each other for a few months. I finally realized that I liked him and we started dating. That was over 16 years ago! He remains my best friend and I can’t imagine my life without him!
Amanda says
It is impossible for me to pick just one. I’m a sucker for a good love story. Some of my favorite include Dirty Dancing, Titantic, The Notebook, Twilight, and many of the Disney classics.

Sheila S. says

Berns says
The one that comes to mind right now is “When Harry Met Sally.” Just love the New Year scene. Coincidentally, my husband and I also started out as friends, but did not wait quite as long as Harry and Sally before we started dating. Now you have me singing – ♫♫♫ It had to be you ♫♫♫ It had to be you …
Suzanne says
Hi Nichole! My favorite love story is my own! My husband and I were friends for a few years before we started dating. He was so shy that he used to ask to hold my hand, but this is the best:
I was driving away from his college dorm to head home during a snowstorm when he flagged me down. He approached the car and motioned for me to roll the window down. I did just that while my Shania Twain CD played. I said, “What?” and he stuck his head in the window and kissed me quickly (just a peck), after which he immediately *ran away* vigorously pumping his fists in the air cheering “OH YEAH!!!” This brought me so much laughter that I had to rest my head on the steering wheel…and when I finally looked up, he had completely disappeared.
The rest is history!
Pam S says
I really like the 1996 movie “Bed of Roses”. Not cinematic gold, but it’s sweet and romantic.
Kay Demonbren says
Um, well yeah, I’m not much for chick flicks. I’m more of a LOTR kind of girl. That said, let’s look at Arwen and Aragorn- this woman was willing to give up immortality to be with the man she loved (and the man was being played by Viggo Mortenson- not too shabby).
Emilia says
‘When Harry met Sally’, I cannot forget that movie! So romantic!!!
Cindy Obermeyer says
The Way We Were … I can watch the movie a million times. And that Hubble Gardner … what a cutie.
Nerina says
My favourite love story is my own. My husband and I met at a hospital – he was doing his internship and I was a junior nurse. He came over to help me whilst I was struggling to make an elderly patient more comfortable in his bed. I was so impressed with his incredible care and compassion, then – and my love and appreciation for this wonderful man has continued to grow steadily. It is still alive and strong (and growing) 20 years later! Thanks for the opportunity to toot about my DH! 🙂 And thank you for the inspiration you shared during this wonderful release – and for your generosity!
Christine says
My favorite is The Phantom by Susan Kay (book). I may be partial since my name is also Christine. 😉
Mary W. says
Favorite Love Story is “Sleepless in Seattle”
Anne B says
Have to confess that I’m a fan of the classics. My favourite would have to be Jane Austen’s ‘Persuasion’. Apart from the fact that the heroine has such a great name (*wink*), I love re-reading any story which takes people from regret and loneliness to the realisation that they still love one another and can be reunited!
Ilina Crouse says
For me it’s A Walk to Remember.
Christine says
My favorite love story would have to be “Return to Me” with Minnie Driver & David Duchovny – she gets his wife’s heart after the wife was in a fatal car accident. There’s one scene with David Duchovny and Carrol O’Connor (Driver’s grandfather in the movie) where O’Conner says that “her heart was meant to be with you always” or something like that. It’s such a sweet movie.
Marcia McCune says
Pat Conroy’s book Beach Music is the story about love and the death of the author’s parents. He talks about the cycle of life, about how everything repeats itself, and about how love is the thing that remains. We’ve all had profound experiences and this book captures the emotions of our shared experiences beautifully. He is one of my favorite authors. Marcia, Michigan
Connie G says
My favorite love story is hard to pick – lots of great ones out there. The Notebook certainly is high on the list – who can’t watch that without tears?? Romeo and Juliet is another – timeless.
Tara says
not much of a country music fan, there is a song by Collin Ray that makes me tear up every time – its called ‘If you get there before I do’ and tells the story of a young couple who are to meet up and run off to get married, but the woman has chores to do and says “if you get there before I do, don’t give up on me, i’ll meet you when my chorse are through”. the final stanza of the song is the man, now elderly, sitting at his dying wife’s bedside, and he repeats those words to her in their final time together. *sigh*

Well of course I have to pick my own. I had a crush on my husband in the 6th grade for one week. He didn’t show any interest back so I gave up and moved on. In high school, his best friend was my high school sweetheart. In college I ran into him one summer. After staying up talking all night in a coffee shop, I asked him if he wanted to take me on a date. He said yes. We dated 8 years and have been married for 5 1/2 years. I madly love him and think he is the most honorable man I know. And he’s the most wonderful Daddy!

My favorite is how my Mom and Dad met. My Dad noticed my Mom on a train and offered to help her with her luggage. He’s notoriously shy, but he admired her so much that he hung around next to her seat until the person next to her offered him his own. My Dad was actually on his way OFF the train but rode all the way back to town with my Mom! They’ve been married for 42 years and he’d still go anywhere for her!

Although it is actually a tragedy, I have always loved the story of Romeo & Juliet. Although their time together was short…their love was true, and passionate, and forever. I had no idea it was coming. He was the lead singer and also played drums… I hope I never forget that day! Love is so awesome at any age or stage in life, isn’t it? 🙂 Hugs to all…

I must grasp life and love God and everyone around me. To me, that is a Love Story.

After the disease has overpowered her brain she went back to being a 16 year-old girl, sneaking away from her strict parents to ice-skate on the frozen lake. She remembers meeting a tall and dark boy who gave her a kiss on the cheek. A bold act in 1936… A few years afterward second world war had started and fiance (a young lawyer then. Jewish, unfortunately – then…) was murdered and they never got married. Her Alzheimer disease years afterward shows how strong was the love of the young Jewish girl and young Jewish man who had met on the icerink…

Even though I love a really great book or movie about love, I have to say my favorite is when I met my husband. My husband and I met at work and it took 2 weeks of going out to lunch with him and a friend before he had the courage to ask me out, but then it only took him three weeks after that to tell me he loved me and wanted to marry me! And thank you for the chance at a wonderful prize. PTI rocks!!! 🙂

For me it’s Pride and Prejudice. My 18-year-old DD and I love both the 6-hour A&E version as well as the newer movie. All of her high school and now college girlfriends also love it. My son, who has never actually sat down to watch either version, can mockingly repeat dialogue from just hearing it so often from other parts of the house.
Glee says
I would have to say that my most favorite movie is “Dirty Dancing.” There is not a movie that I have seen in my 63 years of life that touched my heart like “Dirty Dancing.” When Patrick Swayze (rest in peace, my Friend) mouths the words to Jennifer Grey, “For I had the time of my life and I owe it all to you…” at the end of the movie I always melt. Now that is LOVE!!!!

My favorite love story is The Time’s Travelers Wife. I read the story a few years ago and thought it was an interesting book then. I reread it about a year ago and it was a completely different book for me. So much has happened in my life (my husband passed away two years ago) that I had a totally different perspective. The part that I most identify with is at the end of the book the main character, Henry, visits Claire when she is older. So Claire waits for Henry. That’s how I feel. Im waiting for my Henry.

I would say that my favorite love story is my own. I met my husband in 1989. He was a musician. My friend’s asked me if I would like to go hear their friend sing. They had no idea he and his wife were separated. We hit it off right away and dated for three months. His wife then had a serious medical problem come up and he had to move home to care for his two children. He asked me to wait six months. I did. However, he needed to stay longer, so he told me that he didn’t want me to wait any longer. In 1993 my phone rang. It was my love. He was finally in a position where he was able to divorce and asked if I would see him. I waited three weeks before I finally said yes. We began dating again, he got divorced, we got married and the rest is history! We’ve been together ever since and he is still my true love!

Hmm…although my hubby and I have an amazing relationship and I love him forever and beyond, we aren’t a typical “mushy” romantic couple. The love story that always makes me tear up and takes my breath away would have to be Dirty Dancing. Yeah, it’s unconventional, but there’s no line quite like “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” It’s even more bittersweet now that Patrick Swayze has left us. R.I.P. Patrick!

I am in love with the old South and I adore watching “Gone With The Wind.” The book is even better. I remember watching this movie with my parents when I was younger. It used to come on TV quite often and Mom had to watch it each time no matter what. Dad and I were insufferable. We would blow air hard when the music would come on (acting like the wind)and generally just ruin the whole experience for my poor, suffering Mom. As I have grown older, I appreciate the story so much more! Now I am the one who watches it each time it airs!

How my parents met. Hands down. My dad was trying on a tuxedo for his friends wedding in the tux rental shop my mom was working in. My mom was the girl who helped him and, as they chatted, something ignited inside both of them. A few weeks later, he sent her flowers on and asked her out. They were engaged 4 months later and married shortly after. Years later she discovered that my dad told his friend upon exiting the shop that he was going to marry her. Funny thing is, as my dad walked out of the store, she leaned over to her friend and said “I want to marry that man”. They’ve been happily married 33 years.
Latisha says
I’m a classics kind of girl. Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea, and my favorite Gone with the Wind.
Jen Tapler says
Definitely my own. My life had taken what seemed like a really crappy detour and I was starting over on a few things – it felt like I had taken some really giant steps in the wrong direction in my professional and academic life – but if the nasty things that landed me there hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have been in the right place to meet my amazing husband. That little detour in my academic career had me working as an athletic trainer for the University of Oklahoma, assigned to the Wrestling Team. My husband was a wrestler for the Sooners. We met, became instant friends, eventually fell in love, and the rest is history!! I’m so happy for those loooong days as the only female in a hot, stinky Division 1 college wrestling room watching half-naked college-aged men in peak physical condition (yeah, I know…it was such a rough life…sigh!) roll around for hours trying to strangle each other!! Sometimes what seems like a really bad situation ends up being the best thing that ever happened to you! 🙂

We met on a Milwaukee city public bus at the age of 15 (we are now 48 years young!). It was meant to be! We have been married almost 27 years and have 3 awesome children. Our marriage survived his 20 years in the Navy. He was deployed 7 times on 6 month cruises in those 20 years – along with all the “little” cruises of a month here and a month there! My own love story. After being widowed for a couple of years I prayed about remarrying. I told the Lord if He didn’t want me to marry that was o.k. but if He did I named 4 things I wanted in a husband. One of those things would take a miracle! About a month later I had a blind date & when I opened the door I thought, “I’m in trouble!” LOL He was exactly what I prayed for and then some! Five months later he proposed! I said yes but let’s wait to marry when my home sold within a resonable time. I had my house for sale for 9 months. When he proposed the house sold in 10 days! I had to be out in 30 days so that’s when we got married! That was 18 years ago!! Thank you Lord!!

In-laws Roland and Juliette met at a dance on the pier at the beach. He thought she was pretty and asked her to dance – she said yes. As they danced, he stepped on her toes and said “Excuse me”. She replied “Don’t worry, it was my fault”. They danced to the song “The Girl That I Marry” by Irving Berlin. He knew then that she would be the girl that he married. It was love at first sight. She passed before he did and he missed her dearly. As he was dying, I played that song for him and those that gathered. It soothed everyone gathered together for that moment in time as he passed to meet up with Juliette for their eternal dance in heaven. He would repeat his love story to all his children, grand-children and greats after she passed, so that we would all remember and learn what true love is. True story. Please enjoy and pass on to your loved ones.

Now, having said all that, there is a movie love story I absolutely adore: It is an old b&w movie made in 1945 starring Robert Young, Dorothy McGuire and Herbert Marshall.
