For the holidays, I’ve already started making sets of gifts tags to give to my mom, sisters, and sisters-in-law at our annual Christmas tea. I also plan to make all of my Christmas cards (this may turn out to be a bigger job than I’ve anticipated). Finally, for coworkers, I’m going to make some nugget tins and tea tins full of cookies that I’ve seen on this blog. So cute!
Chris says
I’m about halfway through making my Christmas cards. I don’t like to do mass production, so I make two or four of one card and then move on to something else. Lots of fun! I also make a little treat of some kind for the staff at my kids’ school. Two schools this year – eeek! Better get started, huh? I’m also always on the lookout for fun new handmade ornament ideas for our tree and to give as gifts.
Jamie Greene says

I plan to make gifts for my girls teachers. I did rub-ons on glass ornaments last year, and loved the video lauren did with making your own rub-ons. May do some with the school mascot on them for some staff at the school, then more personalized gifts for the homeroom teachers. I have also started selling Avon and plan to make some inexpensive thank you gifts for my customers, which will include cards 🙂
You ladies are SO talented and give such great inspiration….I love visiting all the blogs of the DT!! Thanks so much!
patty says
The Notes set really hit it for me. I am a list maker and so are many in my family. Who doesn’t at least need a grocery list? I also make all my holiday cards and have gotten so many ideas this year that I am making sets of 5 in 8 different designs. All do to you, PTI!
Heather Mills says

Well, I’m still on the fence about cards. For the last few years I’ve just been sending picture cards, but maybe this year I’ll stamp them again. I loved so many of the projects you showcased this year, but the one I’m most interested in copying is your blanket/heat bag. Very practical and cute for my friends here in Minnesota!
Daisy says
I loved the coffee cup gift sets! Our local store always runs cheap specials on seasonal colored cups and I can hardly wait to try this out. Loved the memo pad idea also, have been wanting to make pads for some of the ladies at church that take notes during the sermon and this would be perfect!! Thanks for all the great ideas that y’all always come up with especially for those of us who are designer challenged. I so love each and every release party.

In previous years, I’ve made Christmas cards for people that would “appreciate” them. I’ve also made little composition books to carry around as personal journals. This year … probably a few greeting cards and … something else. I’ve been thinking of the notepad sets… or perhaps just some blank note cards.
Rebecca Jensen says
While my schooling will get in the way of doing anything too extravagant, I love to make jars full of cookie mixes for my family. The best part about that is they can eat the sugar when they are ready for it….even if it’s months after the holidays.

WoW! I’m the first one here (maybe!!) I have to say that PTI has given me so much inspiration and Christmas is the highlight. I always make my Christmas cards and with the set I got last month and the ones I want this month – it is going to be hard to create just one design. I always make gifts for close friends and family. Absolutely need Mishy’s set to make those adorable note pads. Oh the mind is over loaded with ideas – can’t wait to get started !!
Susan Fenton says
I plan on several different gifts – calendars being one of them – but one of the ideas you featured that I especially liked was the gift card holder. It’s the sharpest looking one I’ve ever seen! I love the cute little box and little slot and how completely professional it looks. And downloadable templates!?! SO wonderful! Thanks!!
Margot says

I may be able to handle the cards again this year, however, since we are kind of in limbo (moving out of state and living in temporary housing) most of my stuff is packed in storage. I am starting to really need therapy here 🙂 I don’t plan to do much this year except make some homemade ornaments with the kids for our makeshift tree. Perhaps the few stamps I have here with me (all PTI of course) will come in handy!
Stacy Trimble says
Having a one-year-old daughter often changes what i “plan” to do, but this year I HOPE to make holiday gift tags for gifts and homemade treats for the neighbors using many of the new Papertrey holiday stamps. I can’t get enough of these christmas stamps. LOVE THEM!!

I’d also like to make Christmas cards for the residents in an old folks home close to where I live who are kind of in the middle of nowhere and somewhat neglected. I made each one of them a Valentine’s Card this last year and it meant so much to them.

This will be my first purchase and I am going to make all my Hoilday cards this year with Papertrey and I am also going to make some to send to my mom for her to mail out. I love this company and I can’t wait to get my order.

Teacher gifts! I plan to use Lauren Meader’s My Timeless Templates along with PaperTreyInk stamps to create containers for holiday treats and matching cards. I also plan on altering notebooks as gifts for teachers, coaches, babysitters, and all the special people in our lives. I’d like to make the nifty notebooks that I saw on the blog using Take Note stamps and Paper Basics Notepads. Those are so clever! Thanks for always giving such inspiring ideas and wonderful products that can be used over and over again. -Pam

We’re coming up on my favorite time of the year! I love everything about the holidays … the decorating, wrapping, gifting, cooking and more. For the first time, I’ll be making all my holiday cards (well over 100) and I can’t wait to get started!
Joanne Basile says
I had sworn off making my own christmas cards this year, because I was convinced I wouldn’t have the time… but now I *know* I must have Dawn’s adorable Vintage Ornaments stamp set – its just perfect for clean, but stunning cards!
And, of course the note pads and Take Note Set! I’m a childcare provider, so I’m always trying to think of personal, thoughtful an inexpensive gift solutions around the holidays for my clients. (Many of which are stampers, so they *love* crafted gifts!)
Anne says
I am going to make MORE cards. I thought I would be smart and started my cards in August and thought I had them all done. After seeing the new releases I have changed my mind sooooo I am going to send the cards I have made to one of the organizations that you all sponsor. I always decorate A LOT so this is my favorite time of the year. If you sit still too long around here you might end up with ornaments hanging on you.
KristenA says
I loved the notecards Nichole made with the orange element from Giga Guidelines with the matching case! Perfect gift! I also usually make holiday cards, monogram note sets for the teachers and picture ornaments for grandparents. I also loved all the ideas using Mish’s adorable notebook set, so I may have to try that, too! Vintage cream with dark chocolate lines–sounds good enough to eat!
Barbra says
I’ve already started to make my holiday cards! Our son is now 4 and I’m finding it a little easier to get to the craft table now and then. I’m so excited to get back in the swing of things. Finally a chance to use all of the fantastic Papertrey goodies I’ve been getting! Thanks for the chance to win such an amazing package!
AnnElise R. says
This year I will be making all the Christmas cards that I send out. I was also really inspired by Dawn McVey’s Tree Trimming Trio post last month where she decorated the mini loaves of bread with tags. I plan on making those for friends and co-workers because it is such a cute and simple way to dress up yummy baked goods! Now that there’s a stamp set to make Michelle Wooderson’s notepads…well I will just have to get on to making those too!!!
Nimue says
I’ll definitely be making cards. I’d like to do some ‘mass producing’ but I make a card for the person so all mine are different. I know it’s not efficient but it’s the only way I can work. I may make up a set of cards as a gift for a close friend though. I’ll definitely be making some note pads for my special friends and for myself. I can see myself having notepads in every strategic place in my house. This is a great release. I know I’ll be buying in spite of all my resolve to ‘cut back’. My daughter is almost as ‘hooked’ on Papertrey as I am so it’s a special bonding occasion tonight – Nimmy
Mary says
I always have BIG plans for the Holiday season… I really think the key is starting early (and you gals are SO inspiring in that regard!).
I may try to do a little “December Daily” project this year — my kids are growing up so fast… I REALLY want to scale back on the busy-ness to enjoy their sweetness.
Christmas would REALLY come early this year with an “I Want It All” (and I DO!) package… 🙂 Fingers crossed!
Wendy says
I usually send out over 100 Xmas cards, so that is nothing exciting but I really hope to make more hand made gifts for my friends as I think it means so much more. And I am sure it will be with some of the new sets this month!
Brenda says

For the past 10 years I’ve made handmade cards and this year will be no exception. Last year I was SOOOO excited to see Silent Night by PTI and I knew it had to be used for my cards. I’m holding off on designing this year’s cards, anticipating the October PTI release — especially the new giga set! I’ve bookmarked some of my fave ideas the girls have posted using the new sets! What a talented group you are!

Thanks for all the ideas and fun inspirations!

I’m definitely going to make Christmas cards. I’ll also make gifts for my son’s daycare teachers, Sunday School teachers and other church activity leaders. I think I’m going to choose one of Lauren’s templates for those gifts … or the new notepads… or both… decisions, decisions! And then there are my library volunteers (I’m a school librarian). Oh, no! I’m getting stressed just making this list. I’d better start now! I’m so glad I have PTI as a resource for great products and amazing inspiration!

Kathleen says
hmmmm, I’m already doing my cards–I always make Christmas cookies and package them. Last year I bought the tag set and made all my tags, so I’m doing that, too—I don’t do a lot of home decor….but I do alter a lot of journals and things, so I’ll keep that up—I’ll likely end up buying the take note–even though I don’t need it—it’s too perfect for all those journals and lists I make!!
Erin says
I’m planning on making some wonderful homemade gift items for a local organization who helps women recovering from addiction! I will use several of Lauren’s templates, but narrowing down my ideas will be difficult, especially b/c of all the amazing ideas you all have posted recently!
And, of course, homemade Christmas cards too!
Thanks for the opportunity each month to win free stamps!

This month, though, the Christmas card ideas are at the top of my list for working on during this time. I love how you give us the “plans,” give us the “recipes,” and as a result, we create something fabulous!
Jean in NH says
This year things are different because of the change in the economy. After 9 years at the same job, I was laid off in June. I was fortunate to land another job offer 2 days later but it involved a 30% cut in pay. I am hoping my gift receipients enjoy their coordinating note card sets packaged nicely thanks to Lauren Meader’s Timeless Templates.
Amanda Pedro says

As usual my list of things I want to make is longer than the time I have available…but that never stops me:-) I’ll definitely be making cards…I know I’m going to use Tree Trimming Trio…and maybe, just maybe Holiday Button Bits. Also, I was inspired by Nicole’s post last month where she made the blanket and heating pillow…so I am trying my hand at making some therapeutic neck wraps from organic fabric with the message “Be Well” stamped on muslin and adhered in the corner. And that’s just for starters…

Decorating the cases will be fun, especially with all my wonderful PTI sets!

I’m going to be making a few quilts as gifts as it is a new hobby and passion I’ve recently cultivated. Each quilt will get a handcrafted card to match so I’m definitely looking for inspiration from the cards premiered during this release. Thanks so much for providing so much inspiration through your samples and your awesome DT!!

As a new mother, I look forward to checking out all the PTI designer blogs while the baby naps! 🙂

Hello everyone. I was introduced to Papertrey not very long ago and have fallen in LOVE with EVERYTHING!!! Being fairly new to the stamp world (started at the beginning of this year) any thing I do will be a crafty venture. My plan must include Papertrey as I have seen some AWESOME items. I help out with kids and seniors at my church and plan on making some wonderful cards and treat bags for them. What I love about stamping is that I can “give” and “give” something that I have comed to love (and honestly, is now an addiction). What I find most rewarding is that the giving is part of my imagination, work, and heart. I am truly looking forward to this holiday season.
Blessings

OMGosh! Everything that I see here is everything I want to try! I know, without a doubt, that I can always come here for inspiration and ideas whenever I feel the urge to create something by hand. I am definitely going to make handmade Christmas cards as I do every year. I am dying to try Lauren’s new template. I’ve been wanting something that would be really special to present a gift card in because my sons and nieces and nephews are getting old enough now that they want to pick out their own gifts, so gift cards are GREAT for that! Now I have a way of presenting them in a special way which hopefully will let my family know how special they are to me!
Sherry says
I plan to make cards for the special people in my life. I was never a card maker before I discovered PTI. The design team is the BEST and they so inspire me. Thanks to everyone for sharing such great projects.

I ALWAYS make homemade holiday cards to send to my relatives and friends. I think my relatives would be offended if they ever received a store bought card from me at this point. I love to make homemade gifts as well!! I adored the marshmallow dreidels tutorial you had last year and hope to try them this year. I want to send extra homemade cards packages in one of Lauren’s templates to my family members and plan on making coaster calendar magnets as well. Becky Oehlers has a FAB tutorial on her blog for acrylic coasters that I have been meaning to try. Lastly, since my hubby will be deployed at that time, I will be making TONS of homemade treats for him and his buddies overseas – so I look forward to seeing what other projects and gift ideas you and the talented ladies of the DT have in store for us as well. You ladies ROCK! Thanks for the chance to win!

Am looking forward to some quick and simple solutions and will be adapting a couple of designs from the holiday cards 101 for quickly produced all occasion cards, that will be packaged in one of lauren’s templates (too many choices for me to have decided yet!)
Lynne says
I love the blanket from last month’s release – I need a new sewing machine, and that project moved it to the top of the priority list! Also, I plan on making some of “Mish’s notebooks” for the girls in the office – they will just love them! The usual cards and tags. And maybe some tile coasters stamped with Christmas designs. Of course, I probably won’t get through this whole list, but a girl can dream! Thanks for another great month of inspiration!!!

Sallie says
I will spend time on special gift-wrapping and tags(I have not joined the “bag-brigade”). I love beautifully wrapped packages. My other holiday activity will be baking and decorating elaborate snowflake cookies. I have the old Martha Stewart copper cookie cutters which are marvelous. It takes me several days to do them. They are put into individual, decorated cellophane bags and given as gifts. Friends tell me they hang them on their trees. My Christmas cards are already done…I don’t like to be rushed! : )
Melissa says
I am planning on making gift tags, holiday cards and thank yous. I am also an avid scrapbooker and hope to incorporate some of the new release items into upcoming holiday layouts. I am SO excited for the release and the holiday season.

Other than making my Christmas cards, my major crafty adventure this year will be to sew the cute bag and make the note books Mish showcased on her blog. I’ve only used my sewing machine on paper, so it should be interesting.
Suzanne says
My crafty venture involves making homemade Christmas cards for about 100 family, friends, and co-workers. I fell in love with the Holiday Button Bits holly card with the nontraditional berry sorbet and spring moss color scheme. The emotion that the color combination and card design evoked in me is exactly what I wish for all the people who will receive our card.
Samantha says
This holiday season, I’m taking part in a craft fair. I’m making a bunch of papercraft items like bookmarks, cocoa mix holders, picture frames, etc. I’m also going to make my Christmas cards this year and I really want to try out Michelle’s new notebook stamp set! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

Lindsey says
I plan to do a bunch because my side of the family is only doing homemade gifts. I’ve already made some tutu’s and notepads(now I can use PTI’s to make the rest!). The notepads were inspired by Mish, Becky, and Lisa. I’ve also made 2 wreaths so far, and I plan to make more…I’m addicted. Eventually I’m going to make Christmas cards (greatly if not entirely inspired by PTI’s design team), gift bags (inspired by Dawn), and I totally plan to use the treat ideas you’ve shown….I still can’t get over the cute marshmallows on a stick. 🙂 And lastly, I think I’m way past due buying one of Lauren’s templates, so I’m going to do that, too. You are all so talented. Thank you SO much for sharing your ideas!!!

After taking a break for a couple of years I am going to make my Christmas cards again. I loved the card on your blog made with the scarlet jewel and ripe avacado with touches of gold. I think that is THE one for me this year. Also last year I made some calendars which were a huge hit. I will probably do that again and throw in some glass etched gifts that I have been wanting to make. I’d better get busy.
Antoinette says
I always make my Christmas cards, but this year with the help of some of Lauren’s templates and all the wonderful PTI stamps, everyone is getting everything handmade, aside from the cards, homemade truffles and hot chocolate sets included!! I can’t wait to see the sets this month and have them in my hands.
Thank you for the great inspiration from all of you ladies, and for the chance to win!

I have already made about 30 of the notebooks, and now I am working on Tuckedaway templates. So far I have made around 50 of those. I’m definitely going to play around & make some notebooks. I’m almost done painting a wood shelf for my living room/entryway with some pegs…I’m hoping to make a few cute banners for that. In my ideal world I’d find the time to make a few quilts as well, as that’s my second addiction, but I have 4 young kids, so I need to be reasonable! The best thing about PTI is that I can get something done in just a few minutes of ‘me time’ and feel like I’ve done something that will brighten someone’s day!
Jessica Howard says

Oh, I’m definitely making lots of hand-stamped Christmas cards this year. I’m also inspired by the notepads in the sneak peaks this week – I really want to try making some of these to give away to my gramma. She’s always making lists for everything – grocery list, recipe lists, medicine lists, to do lists, cooking lists (what time she put something in the oven, what time to take it out…), and lists of birthdays (so she can mail cards out on time). She would get such a kick out of some personalized notepads. 🙂
Cindy F. says
Love all the stamps this month. Everyone on my list will be getting a Mish notebook!
Nancy says
For the holiday season I always start with a unique indoor wreath for our home. I’ll also continue my tradition of sharing something I love (often something I make) with my 6 sisters-in-law. This year they’re getting stemless goblets if I can master the pottery wheel in time. The PTI design team’s blogs are such an inspiration for cards and pretty packaging. And if I run out of time, Lauren’s Cash or Charge Trio templates are just the ticket for everyone else on my list!!

Definitely homemade Christmas cards. I’m going to model mine after one I saw Melissa Phillips made. I’ll also likely bring food treats to the neighbors. But this year, instead of wrapping them in ugly tin foil, I’m going to pretty them up with PTI goodness!

Pat Bracy says
I plan on making cards using the button bits set. They are absolutely precious. I have been watching the blog all week and rereading and drooling over the snowman, santa, and ornaments cards that Nicole designed. I hope to use those ideas in some cards of my own.
Tami McBeain says
I’m planning on making several homemade Christmas gifts this year. Starting with the new Take Note set and the little notebooks. I’m also going to give sewing a try and make the little set that you showed us Nichole, such a cute idea! Thanks for all the great inspirations.
lainey says
I’m making my usual handmade cards and cookies. I also want to make note pads to give as gifts, so I can’t wait to use the new Take Note stamp set. There are so many other ideas I want to try from Nichole’s blog…too many to list. There just isn’t enough time to do it all! I really need to start in January next year! lol
Regina M says
The DT’s Holiday Card Making 101 has really inspired me – I know I can make something simple and elegant…on a budget. This year, money is pretty tight, but I think my friends and family will appreciate sets of cards they can then send. Who doesn’t love getting a handmade card? I don’t know where I would be without the ideas and tips from the gals at PTI!
Shannon Roberts says
OH I SO NEED THIS!! I plan to make cards & fun gifts using your new notepads & I wanna try & make fun decorative blocks!!!
Teresa says
I definitely plan on making my own Christmas cards again this year. I would also like to make gifts for my work colleagues and possibly some calendars for family. One fabulous idea I saw this week was using the new Cash and Carry templates. Those are a must have for sure!!!
annheidel says
I’m doing holiday cards of course, but I also plan on making a few gifts for close friends this year instead of flaking out like I usually do. All the design team’s notebooks were adorable, so I may make a few of those or some candy boxes. The hardest part is deciding what to do! I’d love to do some home decor stuff. I never have anything I make because I usually give it away!! lol 🙂
TracyTracy says
Well, I always kind of avoided gift cards, even though I KNOW in my heart that my teen relatives would use and be happier with a giftcard than whatever I come up with. So this year I might get some gift cards, but package them up in a special way, with a little bling, or other ideas from the site. I think maybe its time to let my pre-Christmas prep be a little easier, and gift cards might just be the key. Thanks
Julie E says
I will be making Christmas cards and as many gifts as I can fit in. All the PTI designers are so inspiring, I will be taking a second and third look when I design my own Christmas cards. I also love the white note card set shown on Nichole’s post yesterday, I will have to give that one a try, it will make wonderful gifts!
Claudia says
I guess it doesn’t hurt to try. Can’t wait to see what I’ll be buying in a few hours!
Kelli says
I plan on making several scrapbooks as gifts this year. I plan to do it every year, but always seem to run out of time. Not this year though!
Sharon says
Every year I make homemade chocolate-dipped biscotti and chocolate-covered pretzels. I’ve always just put them in cellophane bags and then tied them off with pretty ribbon, but this year I want to make the packaging more special. I’ll also do our traditional papercrafted Christmas cards with a photo on the front. I’ve been brainstorming for an idea that will be simple (for mass production), but will still have the wow factor. This year I’ve promised myself that I will start my Christmas projects earlier so that I have plenty of time to enjoy being creative!
Tina Masters says
I’m excited to purchase the notepads and new stamp set! I was looking for something like this for our annual Christmas craft day at church as well as share the idea in a couple of classes for our Women’s retreats next year! I will be placing my order ASAP! Thanks for so many wonderful ideas!
Victoria Hassink says
I always make notebooks, Mish Style, and I will be sewing tote bags and aprons. I probably will try to do a few altered frames for Grandparents.
Snowman Soup for all the neighbors.

Tracey says
I definitely will be making Christmas cards 🙂 I would also like to try some of those note books…all the designers gave us such wonderful inspiration…THANKS!!!!
Mary B says
This year I’ll be making all our Christmas cards again, as well as gift card holders. We have two kids in college, so I’ll try my hand at making some type of packaging for homemade goodies for their suitemates. The sneak peeks this week have given lots of ideas. Thanks for the chance to win this awesome prize!
Steph W. says
I will be making my holiday cards as usual this year, but I usually mass produce one design (I generally make 150 cards a year). This year there were so many great examples of great sets that I bought too many and for the first time will be making a few different card designs. I also plan on using a bunch of the MTT for gift packaging as well! SO glad to have all the options we have with those. I also hope to either make some personalized notecards or cute tea gifts for my Aunts. Here’s hoping I don’t run out time!
Thanks again to everyone for a fabulous release!
Ronna E. says
I definitely plan to make several of my gifts this year rather than purchase them. I especially was inspired by Nicole’s orange zest thank you set and will be making a version for some family members. Can’t wait to add the Giga guidelines to my collection.

Kathi says
Have 1 more Thanksgiving card to make.
Almost have all my Christmas cards finished. Have made 15 sets of monogramed note cards for grandchildren’s teachers. I’ve made Mish’s notebooks in the past for teacher gifts but can’t wait to get the new stamp set to make more, oh and the notepads too. It cost me a fortune at the printers to have the legal pads cut in half!
Mimi H. says
This holiday season, I plan on creating desktop 2010 calendars with my Bind-It All, and giving them as gifts. I’m glad you will be selling the notepads. I might send those out as gifts as well. Thanks for all the inspiration.

A friend of mine makes the cutest note pads, and I’ve been wanting to try them, but I’ve not taken the time to go out and look for the pads, etc. When I saw yours, and the cute set to go with it, I was so excited because it would make doing note pads so easy! I want to make note pad sets for my some of my kids’ teachers and other special people who have made a difference in my life.

C Burke says
I always make cards, homemade candy and cookies. I have fun making or finding a unique ornament of some sort to add to the packaging. Some examples are papercast Christmas images, pine trimmings and red ribbon for my giant “pizza cookies” which were presented in pizza boxes, and miniature lemons to tie on the packaging for lemon bread. I plan to use my new Papertrey purchases to make cards and decorate gifts this year.
Isabel Z says
I was so excited when I saw Mish’s new set-Take Note–because I am getting ready to start making gifts for my children’s teachers and my co-workers. A personalized notepad for each person using this new set will be a perfect start to my gift making. I also plan on creating Christmas cards for the special people in my life and I can’t wait to play with the newest button set–the Santa and snowman are absolutely adorable. Lauren’s templates will come in handy for the hard to buy nephews and nieces who are thrilled to receive gift cards now that they are teens. PTI, you make it so easy.
Linda L says
As the world’s best/worst(?)procrastinator, I have BIG plans for the holidays! I hope to use one of the small size Picnic Basket templates for Thanksgiving table settings, make a stack of notepads for little gifts and of course Christmas cards. Those are the plans anyway! Crossed fingers, toes and eyes!
Thanks for the wonderful inspiration this month = it’s been a joy!

Great release this month! Unfortunately when I moved recently, I lost my username so I can’t play on the forum tonight. But to answer your question…silly girl that I am, I signed on for a Market Bazaar at the University where my husband is teaching…yikes! So I’m in the process of (trying) to make all manner of goodies (cards, deocorated boxs, bags, etc.) and I know that Dawn, Heather’s and the Holiday Button Bits will come in very handy for some wonderful creations. Oh yeah…and I’m hoping to make my own holiday cards.

Teacher, neighbor, mailman, etc gifts with template packaging. All kinds of stuff! With the economy the way it is right now, I need to use up my “stash” (which never stops growing) before I add anymore (with the exception of some more STAMPS and TEMPLATES!) Thanks for all the inspiration and the chance to will all the GOODNESS!

Deb Z says
I love making cards for the holidays. My Mom and I get together and share ideas and make cards. It is very special and lots of fun. I love the PTI templates and will be making some and filling them with gifts for friends and family for the holiday. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas and creativity with us.
Christine McMullin says
We just took our family Christmas picture so I’ll be designing a Christmas card to work with the picture. I often make Christmas presents for those I care about (last year was soldered Christmas ornaments), but I’m at a bit of a loss for a specific idea this year. I’ve been collecting fabric like I used to collect papercrafting supplies (LOL – I actually went through a brief phase where the supplies were just too PRETTY to actually use!)…so I think whatever project I cook up will involve sewing. Cook up…mmmmm….maybe I can make some cute pot pinchers to go with a PTI inspired recipe box?!? Now if only I could learn how to cook before Christmas….:)
Kristy Y says
I plan on making gift tags this year–however I’ll be sure to reclaim them after gifts are opened so they can be reused again next year! I can’t bear to part with all that hard work!
Toni says

Jada says
This holiday season I would love to make handmade gifts for friends and family. I have searched for many months to no avail for notepads like these. The 2.5X8 size is PERFECT!!!! I cannot thank you and Michelle enough for bringing these to the stamping industry!!!! How many times have we been out somewhere and ran into an old friend and needed pen and paper or been on the phone and there’s no pen or paper anywhere? These would also be perfect to carry around while in stores to write down colors we see to create a color palette for our cards or just to write down random ideas for our next stamping or scrapbooking project. PTI is one of the most innovative companies who ALWAYS bring fresh, new ideas, stamps and concepts, etc… to the stamping industry. A HUGE thanks to you Nichole for taking this dream and running with it!!! Another HUGE thanks to all of the PTI DT members for continuously inspiring us addicts…um…I mean stampers with your beautiful works of art!!!
sarita says

Wow, 10 minutes in and already 220 comments. What an amazing release this month. I have been busy this entire evening preparing for my first craft fair next month. I’m altering clipboards and clothespins and making magnets and bookmarks. Cards are next. I love giving homemade gifts over the holiday season. In preparation for this upcoming year, I recently made-for the first time-hot pepper jelly. I think it means so much more to give something you’ve put thought and effort and hard work in to. I love this entire release. It’s impossible to narrow one or two items that stand out. I want them all!

Greetings all fellow PTI lovers. What a great release this month. OK – the releases are great every month, but I love holiday sets. Hmmm – holiday crafting – I hope to use the holiday tag sets (2008 and 2009) to embellish some vases I’ll be giving my staff. I also hope to work on one of the Christmas quilt kits I have. It’s always fun to read Michelle’s posts about the crossover loves of quilting, stamping and cardmaking. Many thanks for all the great inspiration to you all.
Mona P says
Oooh, gonna make notepads for sure! Also homemade Christmas cards with Holiday Button Bits! Haven’t seen the whole set yet, but I’m sure I’m gonna LOVE it! All the design team’s inspiration has been awesome!

I will of course be making christmas cards. My daughter and I are in 2 craft sales in November so we are busy making lots of cool things. Notebooks like Mish makes will definitely be on the list. Love the sneak peeks of all the stamp sets

So much to do and so little time! I will be making my Christmas cards from today’s samples. I will also be making those adorable notebooks, some gift card holders from Lauren’s templates and food items decorated with 2009 tags to sell as fund raisers for our Relay for Life team.

Wow! This months selection is really going to be what is needed to get my Christmas Cards done. Thanks so much for the inspiration and for sharing. The PTI team is the greatest and they always have new ideas and techniques. I really appreciate the Holiday Card Making 101. You have different levels for beginners to pros. So there are cards for all of us to give it a try. I am also going to try to make the Note Pads as gifts. They are awesome..
JenMarie says
I’ll definitely be making my Christmas cards… and maybe some packaging for candy and/or homemade goodies!
Courtney says
I have started my Christmas cards and hope to make some lovely festive lollie jars this year to give to friends. I love using papertrey stamps for all of my seasonal gifts and cards. I have quite a few different papertrey ink Chrissy sets so will be using these for sure:)
Maureen says
I definitely plan on making Christmas Cards… I usually do for my family and business, but this year I’m going to make them for my father to sent out (it’s his first year to send them himself, since my mom passed away in June).
I also plan on making some of the great notepads that were featured this week – Teacher’s Gifts!! I want to make sure the staff at my kid’s school know their appreciated, but with funds tight – if I don’t make them something, I won’t be able to give them anything.
I guess I didn’t need to share so much… I’m just excited to be at my first PaperTrey Release “party”
Jeanne says
I will be making lots of gift tags. I plan on gifting sets of them as hostess gifts in the Nugget Tins. Of course, Christmas cards will be handmade. My husband is my biggest coach and encourager to complete them ahead of time! I have so many ideas flowing through my head….now to decide. I want it all and would love to create every waking moment!
KatyM says
I think I’ll try to make vintage Christmas ornaments using the “Vintage Ornaments” set to hang on a vintage theme Christmas tree strewn with old lace and antique ribbon. And for work, some homemade food gifts with colorful PTI tags and ribbons !!!
Sandye Curry says
Of course I will do homemade holiday cards. I usually do about 50. I will give several gifts of sets of cards (for teachers)–and now for sure I will be doing notebooks! We have a 17 year old, and when she saw the post with the notebooks, she asked for 10 for her friends. Guess I will have to get busy!
Kellie says
I am making the pointsettia cards in Hibiscus Burst and Ripe Avacado. I am also in love with the little notebooks. I have already bought the office supply brand paper pads but I will be loading up (or maybe not if I get lucky tonight) on the new fancy ones! PTI has been such an inspiration I am so thankful. You can never have crafter’s block with them around!
Kellie B says
I will definitely make fun notepads for teachers & co-workers prior to the holidays. I was looking at last years photo cards & think I will get started on that—maybe I will be done by December!

Nicole Morrow says
I made cards last year and everyone loved them- which was before my friend turned me onto Papertrey. So my excitement for this year’s holiday cards is through the roof! And I really can’t wait to get started on gifts and packaging with Lauren’s Timeless Templates. I hope to use everything I’ve learned this year to wow my family and friends and really make this Christmas season sparkle! Thanks Nichole and everyone at PTI!
Sara Spencer says
I am making apple butter and plan to incorporate the ‘holiday treats” labels and a hand made card to present my gift PTI style.
nina says
Well, definitely some Christmas cards to sent out, possibly modelled after one of Nichole’s… I have also started an advent calendar; I need to find something appropriate to glue all the square onto, then attach my little tins. I also have a Build-Your-Own-Snowman in the works, using a PTI set! I’ve coloured a bunch of body parts, & plan to run them through my sticker maker, then create a scene for my boys to play with! I just hope I can get it all done…
Nichole Carbajal says
I plan on making some homemade drink cozies (like the one Becky made) for the teachers at my boys’ school. They will be perfect to wrap around a starbucks cup with a gift card to say thanks for all their hard work. Also, a card making kit for my Mom and some fun “to do” notebooks for my sisters – and one for me too! Love all the great ideas this month!
Stacy says
I plan on making my Christmas cards this year – I usually just order shutterfly ones with my kids pics. I have fallen in love with Lisa Johnson’s Holly Jolly card – thanks for the card info!

I will be making all of my Christmas cards, and hopefully, some homemade gifts. Your designers’ cards and projects are so beautiful and inspiring! You have the best group in design blogland!!
Jean Carlson says
I planned my Christmas cards a couple of months ago when I was inspired by the PaperTrey Design Teams Tips e-newsletter by Heather Nichols for cracked glass technique. As for gifts, I’m still debating on making the card set or note pads from earlier posts, or a calendar notebook stuffed with b-day cards in them. You are all so inspiring that I’m indecisive!
Mary Ann Evans says
I’m hoping to do gift cards using tonight’s Timeless Templates new release and PTI’s new holiday Holiday Button Bits
Susan B says
Cards,of course, that goes without saying, but it is becoming more difficult to decide what card I want to make with so many choices. I will have to use the new Take Note set to make some notepad gifts – it is just too cute and useful. I always make some candy and baked goods for friends and family, so they now expect them – gotta decorate my packaging as well. I love how Papertrey helps me through this season of creating.
Anette Eakins says
I have all kinds of projects planned- the note pads are on the top of my list. Also planning on making some hair bows for my niece’s little girls, some bookmarks and book plates in tins and some containers or bags/boxes for homemade treats. I just wish there were more hours in the day.I’m sure I’ll be thinking of more things as soon as the next Papertreyink countdown begins ;0)
Great release- as usual! Thanks for all the inspiration!

I did notepads and hot cocoa packets and used the glassine bags for packaging – so cute. We’ll give cookies and my tags are ready for the tins. I love seeing all the holiday ideas and will gather things to work on during the winter for next year. I like a stress free holiday and really enjoy the season. That’s what it’s all about. In honor of the tradition, I think I’m going to make my Christmas cards using the quilt stamp sets this year. Little notebooks will definitely be office and stocking gifts. And I always make sets of decorated blank cards for folks- your clear boxes are perfect for gifting these!

Well… since you asked… 🙂
I’m definitely getting Lauren’s template for the gift cards. I usually give a few of those for the holidays and presenting them so elegantly will be so much fun.
I’m also going to make my Christmas cards – however I’m having a difficult time deciding on which one since they’re all so beautiful!
Holiday Hugs,
Renee
Harriet Hensley says
The cards gave me some really good ideas but I am definitely going to be making note pads and hopefully a nice little tote to go with it…. I am loving the Notes Set…..
Robbie Stockton says
I plan on making Christmas cards as well as ornaments. Every year family members receive a new ornament that will reflect their accomplishments or interests of that year. By the time the kids leave home they take a treeful of ornaments with them. I also am planning on making most of my Christmas gifts this year as $ is tight. Looking forward to a back to basics Christmas and enjoying the true REASON for the SEASON. I’m excited to make lil scrapbooks for the granddaughters of all the family members. We are very spread out and the girls are young. Hopefully this will help them know their cousins, aunts and uncles.
Gail White says
I will be making up some kits for my crafty friends. You have made it so easy for me with the Holiday Card with supply list. And lots of tags. I may even do a tag making session after Thanksgiving dinner. Laurens templates are tempting me also.
BelindaB says
I always create a mini album for my parents with pictures of my children from thoughout the year. This year I am planning on creating a few ‘Michelle inspired’ notebooks for teachers, neighbours and friends too. And of course I will be making all my Christmas cards.
Great release this month!
Cassi says
I am absolutely planning on some homemade gifts, but haven’t nailed down the specifics yet. I loved all of the DT ideas for tags a while back, and can’t stop thinking about the flannel blanket set. I’ll have to juggle this with the cards I’ll make this year for our growing list of family and friends. My husband and I have been married for 4 years and the list has gotten exponentially bigger every one of those years. Can’t wait to get started!
Bethany says
I plan on handcrafting my Christmas cards as usual this year including making my own envelopes which always adds a particularly festive touch with some fun holiday paper. I too plan on making notepads for the family which I will distribute while we are in western New York for Thanksgiving. Lastly, as I do every year, I will make handmade holiday tags for each gift as I consider this as part of the overall package itself!
Sally says
Holiday cards got me started with all this stamping stuff, so I will be making those. I am also planning some gift baskets with some home made jellies and jams with cute labels. I have lofty dreams of making calendars and now I’ll have to make some notepads because they are SO adorable. I have a stash of wood picture frames that I plan to embellish. Maybe an ornament or two and I have some students graduating in December, so I hope to craft some grad gifts. Now, if I can find the time for all the FUN!
Carolyn Mustopa says
As usual, I’ll be making my own holiday cards, and the cards that my stepfather and my best friend will send out. I’ll also be making some card sets as gifts. The ideas that you and your team showed this past week will certainly go a long way toward inspiring my final designs. Thanks!
Susanna says
At the moment I’m busy making items for our annual Christmas Church bazaar. Thanks to the wonderful design team PTI is always my first stop every morning for ideas and inspiration. Next on my list is holiday cards for my family to send, a few decorative frames and I’m definitely adding Lauren’s new template release to my list tonight. Love the gift card template! So cute and with a bunch of teenagers in the family it’ll be the perfect package to deliver the goods.
Kiera says
Definitely holiday cards, but also some notepad sets (!!) and some bookmark/”this book belongs to” sets for the kids.
Super excited about them all…with so many great ideas coming from the PTI crowd! Thanks!!
Jamie says
Definitely making holiday cards, card sets to give as gifts, and packaging/tags for gifts. PTI design team blogs are inspiring for their color combos, as well as how they use the stamps. And the best part, is that I’m mentally transported to the holiday season (the best time of the year) when I view their blogs.
Geri Freeman says
My goal will be hand made teacher gifts for all my kids’ teachers. I love embellishing notebooks so I loved those inspiration ideas, along with the Take Note set. Those would go along well with what I already had in mind (embellished clipboards and a couple other desk accessories). I always enjoy making special holders for gifts of cash for adult nieces and nephews. I think you’ve offered more than enough ideas to help me out with that project, too! Can’t wait to see every last detail this month’s sets have to offer!
Sharon says
This is going to be one fun holiday! I’m must have the Take Note system(?). Hand over the Holiday buttons, stamps, ribbon. I WANT IT ALL!!! LOL!

I’m thinking of doing my own Christmas cards this year. I don’t know if I’m up for it though! LOL. Also, those Take Note notepads would be great gifts for the adults for Christmas. We really only buy for the kids, but it would be nice to give them a little something cute! 🙂

TammyB says
I already made some x-mas tags inspired by Dawn McVey that we will use for my family exchange. I have to make my x-mas cards and I will probably make some gift sets of cards and/or notepads for some of my hard-to-buy-for family members. For home decor, I purchased some 12″ wooden snowflakes in last year’s x-mas clearance that I need to decorate. (Better get started!) Thanks for all the inspiration and awesome ideas!
quilter says
I want to make some of the Christmas cards from the Tree trimming trio. So I am a month behind in doing my ordering, but I’d also like to do a few of the button Christmas cards too. I have to work like crazy to get a Christmas quilt finished by Thanksgiving and my Christmas card making can’t start until after the kids have come home for Thanksgiving. Thanks

I hope I’m not too late. Just read about your give-away and want to add my name to the pot. I’m in the process of mass producing my cards. After making one of Lauren’s gift packages, I don’t want to give anything without using her patterns. they are such fun.
Colleen says
Decorated tiles, custom notebooks, tags, and card sets all wrapped up and presented in some of Lauren’s Timeless Templates! My mind is spinning with ideas. Now if you could show me a way to make TIME STAND STILL to get this all done . . . .
Thanks for the inspiration.

I have made my Christmas cards for about 5 years now. I make almost all the Christmas gifts I can too. I made homemade jams and jellies this year so I am making some of the MTTemplates to put those in with scone or muffin mixes or cookies. And I made hot chocolate blocks and will make chocolate covered marshmallows for gifts too ( the hot chocolate blocks are made but go in the freezer till Christmas time). And I have coffee lovers on my list, so they will get a gift box with Mish’s coffee to go stuff and biscotti. I am a pastry chef and stamper, so my gifts usually involve food and cards. Gotta make a few gift card holders too. Love all the PTI ideas. I will be using several of them this year and next.
Leilani says
The PTI gals have gotten my wheels turnin’…..I have some fun and wonderful ideas for home decor for the holidays. In particular some handmade ornaments that my daughter and I can work on together. Perhaps the cute snowman with the button body would be perfect in a winter wonderland scene with the wonderful tree stamps that’s coming out on this release! Oh truly…the wheels are turnin’!
Amanda M. says
My holiday crafting plans include handmade Christmas cards and altered notepads ala Mish style. I also hope to try out altering photo frames. Oooh and I can’t forget homemade goodies packaged in one of Lauren’s genius templates. After this release I should have everything I need to get started!

Most years I either knit my presents or sew something. My brother lives in Berlin and waits anxiously for my stock of hand knit socks I send over. However, this year I am very proud to have my own handmade tags courtesy of the Quilter’s Sampler. This Year I’m starting early and fully intend on making all my cards, and I just love the tutorials that were just posted.

My big craft thing is cards – – every single person on my list is getting a different Christmas card this year – – no mass-producing for me. I thought I had about 60 and then when I added in teachers and work people, I’m at about 80. So 80 different Christmas cards!….all of them with some sort of Papertrey goodness on them *wink*
Heather Curoe says
I was inspired by Lisa Johnson’s Hymn book last year. I have been putting together a book with the history of Christmas hymns that has been so much fun. I’m in the midst of making several gift boxes full of all occassion cards for my neighbors. I think that creating a special occassions notepad will be the perfect way to finish off the gifts, and help the recipients to keep track of cards to be sent. So much fun, and practical all at once!

I will be making my holiday cards as I do each year, but I will be simplifying them. I am really starting to love the clean and simple (PTI style cas) and have seen many beautiful samples on your blog and the team members. I will also be packaging up some peanut brittle and mini pumpkin breads. They of course will have beautiful tags! I am also in the process of making mini calendars as they are easy to mail and I have a lot of friends in Canda and I am in Austin, so putting on a couple of extra stamps is much easier than completing custom forms etc. Thanks for all of the inspiration you so generously give to us each month!

This year I’m all about a homemade Christmas. As I get older and look around my house at the things that mean the most it’s not the gifts that were bought it’s the homemade quilts from my grandmother, the homemade christmas ornaments from my mom and hand written recipe cards from my great grandmother and mom. It’s the homemade things that have so much meaning and heart put into them. This year our family decided not to draw names instead we are all making homemade gifts for each other. 🙂 I better get started now!

Those holiday tags are super tempting too, though! Thanks for all the fab inspiration this week. 🙂

My big project for this year was going to be sets of cards as Christmas gifts, with an exciting timeless template package!! But … Dawn made actual ornaments from her ornament stamp images, which is totally perfect because every year I make an ornament for each niece and nephew!! I am so set to go with this plan. Instead of just doing flat ornaments, I plan to stamp 4 images for each, then score down the middle and adhere them so it looks like a “+” from the top. Plus I will still do the card sets. Life is good!

Last of all I hope to use the Vintage Ornament set to make mini ornaments for some small trees for around the house. Thank you all at PTI for your inspiration.
