The flip book I created for this month’s newsletter is really easy to create with just a few simple steps!
1. Cut a 3.5″ x 6″ piece from each color cardstock you would like to include in your book.
2. Use a Bind-It-All or other binding machine to punch the holes for binding at one side of each piece.
3. Cut each colored page into three 2″ pieces. Be sure that your cuts fall between the holes you punched. As you cut each page, *reassemble* it in the correct order and put it onto the U-wire spine.
4. Cut several plain white cardstock pieces the same size to be used for the journal portion of the book. Punch them as you did the colored pages and add them to the spine.
5. Cut two translucent stencil plastic pieces to be slightly bigger than the interior pages and punch the same spine holes with the Bind-It-All. These will serve as the front & back covers. After compressing the spine, print and adhere the graphic to the front cover. I printed mine onto matte photo paper for a crisper, more professional look!
Here’s the FREE download of the graphic for you! Enjoy!

This is a great idea, Nichole (& Jennifer)! I’m color challenged, so this will really help me!! (And I just got a bind it all for my birthday and haven’t used it yet!) 🙂

What a great idea! I have my paper colors on a ring and found that to be difficult to flip. This is such a visual tool where I can put my favorite colour combos together. Now I don’t have to find that post-it note I wrote it down on!! Thanks for including the download too.

That is pure genius. I am always and forever writting my color combinations (done and on the have to try list) in a spiral book. I never though to do such a intelligent thing. HOLY COW! Thank you for being who you are and sharing yourself and your creativity with us.

Nicole,
I love the way you have designed your swatch book and find that it is an valuable tool to use when designing. Being fairly new to all your product unfortunately I don’t have all of your papers yet. Have you ever thought about producing this book and selling for a nominal fee so it could be used easily. It would be such a great reference tool to have and I would be more than willing to purhase rather than spend my limited craft time to produce.
Thanks again for the great ideas.
