I love to cook. Really. I love everything about
it. From the precision involved with
chopping, to the repetitive motion of mixing, all of it is a lullaby for my
soul in some small way. And not only do
I get the enjoyment of preparing the food, but I get to see my family gathered,
sitting around the table together to share a meal and savor the flavors that I
have brought together for them. It doesn’t get much better than that!
With my love of cooking comes a fascination with collecting
recipes and cookbooks. I have shelves
full of hard-cover editions from my favorite chefs. Envelopes exploding at the seams, that I once
established as an attempt to contain my ever expanding piles of magazine
clippings and computer print-outs. My
recipe box is stuffed with three different styles of index cards, in my attempt
to be organized. With recipes in more
than one place, it obviously tends to be difficult to find exactly what I need.
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
In an effort to bring organization to this area of my life,
I have been working for months on rethinking and redesigning what is considered
the *norm* in regards to recipe filing. Not only do we have a stamp set to offer you that is visually appealing,
we have an entirely new system that will carry you through for years to
come. It all starts with the card…
recipe cards that is! (Don’t forget, you can always click the images for a larger view.)
…………………………………………………………………………………………….
I have designed my own version of a recipe card, one that
will cater to how you actually USE the card, and look good too.
……………………………………………………………………………………………
One of the things that always frustrated me most about
recipe cards is that you had plenty of room horizontally for the ingredients,
but not enough room vertically. Ingredients are easiest to go through if they are in a simple one-column
format. Our recipe card utilizes
vertical space perfectly, complimenting any type of list format.
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
The other thing I really like is being able to place the subtitles
where and when I need them. Especially
ingredients vs. instructions. In this
photo, I am showing you two of my favorite recipes. One of them only has a small handful of
ingredients, while the other one has an entire page. Because “ingredients” and “instructions” are
stamps in the coordinating stamp set, you can position them wherever you need
them to be to suit your needs.
………………………………………………………………………………………….
So now that I have
given you a brief description of the actual recipe cards, why don’t I show you
a little project I made with them?
…………………………………………………………………………………………
One of the neat things about this group of new products is
that not only can use them in your own personal space as a means of
organization, you can also make gifts, use them as a party theme and much, much
more, as the design team will be demonstrating when the new gallery goes live
on the 15th! Today, I thought I would show you a little something
that would be fantastic for either the holidays or a shower gift. I don’t know any cook, experienced or not,
that wouldn’t be appreciative of brand new stainless cooking utensils. My mother-in-law got me some as a gift a few
years ago and it was one of the best, most well-loved gifts I have received during
my adult years. I use them practically every
day! Ever since then, I have taken the
same opportunity with new brides, special friends for their birthdays and more,
I just put my own little twist to it!
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
I went through my recipes and picked out one to coordinate
with each type of utensil I had purchased. For example, pie server with pie (duh!), spatula with casserole, ladle
with soup, whisk with an egg dish, etc…
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
I then prepared recipe cards to go with each of the
utensils, displaying their coordinating recipe. In this case, I began by stamping the borders at the side of my cards,
followed by “from the kitchen of” directly underneath it. I wrote my name on each one.
……………………………………………………………………………………………
To save time since I was making several cards at once, I decided
to customize a grouping of a few of the subtitles on a single block that I knew I wanted towards
the top of each card. It is easy to do
this and be sure that the subtitles are evenly spaced to fall between the lines
printed on the recipe card. Just place
the subtitles, word side down (as if you were stamping) in the position you
would like. Then press the block on top
of them to adhere them and pick them all up a once.
…………………………………………………………………………………………….
After I filled in the appropriate areas for the subtitles
that I just stamped, ending with the ingredients, it was time to add the
instructions. I stamped its subtitle
next. If the ingredients list was short
enough, the instructions usually began on the front, but other longer recipes
sometimes started on the back. This just
proves how versatile and flexible these cards & stamps can be.
…………………………………………………………………………………………….
After filling in all the recipe information for each card, I
prepared them to be tied to their coordinating cooking utensil. I placed a bull nose paper clip (from Target’s
office supply section) at the end of each card. I then threaded the BACK handle only of each clip with Ocean
Tides swiss dot ribbon (more to come about this NEW color later!) It just ends up having a much neater finished
appearance if you thread just one handle rather than both.
…………………………………………………………………………………………….
You can tie each card to the appropriate utensil. The good thing about cooking utensils is that
they almost always come with a hole in the handle so that they can be hung on
pot racks, or in your case, allow you to tie on some pretty ribbon!
…………………………………………………………………………………………….
Now that we had the utensils done, how about a box to store
them in? Did I mention that these recipe
cards, measuring 5-7/8 x 2-3/4 inches, were designed to store perfectly in our
exclusive egg box? (You just slip out the removable *egg insert*!) It is a super-sturdy &
well constructed box, made out of heavy-weight chipboard, its already a beautiful
white, perfect to act as a blank slate for you and your creativity. I started
by stamping some Ocean Tides cardstock with versamark using the leaf image from
First Fruits in order to create some papers that could cover the four sides of
my box. You will need to have two pieces that measure 6-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches and
two pieces that measure 4-3/8 x 2-1/4. I
was able to get a slight *linen* texture to the stamped image by kissing the
stamp against some linen fabric before stamping. Neat effect, isn’t it?
………………………………………………………………………………………
To adhere the leaf strips to the box, using a foam brush,
apply Mod Podge to the box and back of the paper. Be sure to do both the outside of the box and the paper, otherwise it may not adhere correctly. Set aside to allow to dry for about 15 minutes or longer.
………………………………………………………………………………………
Next, you want to put a nice layer of Mod Podge on top of your paper and up the exposed edge of the raw white box. I always use Matte Finish Mod Podge, just because that suits my taste and I like the finished product. Set aside to dry.
………………………………………………………………………………………
Once dry, you can go back in with a file and sand down any extra cardstock that doesn’t quite meet at the corners.
………………………………………………………………………………………
After completing that, it was time to work on the lid of the box. I stamped the small dots from Polka Dot Basics onto Ocean Tides cardstock with white acrylic paint and adhered it to cover the entire top. I then ran strips of Sticky Strip around the box lid in two places to affix ribbon bands.
………………………………………………………………………………………
I wrapped the ribbon all the way around to the interior of the lid. To cover the ends, I just cut a piece of white cardstock to size and adhered it as a lining. This kept everything clean and finished, like I prefer.
……………………………………………………………………………………..
I used a piece of chipboard that I painted white as the sturdy base for the rest of the decorative elements for the lid of my custom recipe box. The scrolled label frame (heat embossed with white Filigree embossing powder) and *Recipes* title are both from a $5 mini set called Recipe Box Label. We are hoping to bring you more styles for the box top labels in the future to make the original recipe set even more versatile!
………………………………………………………………………………………
I used Mod Podge on the lid topper too, that way everything can be easily wiped off when there are food splatters or spills! I am in love with the detail of this frame, and I hope you are too!
………………………………………………………………………………………
I added a few bows to the front of the box using Gorilla Glue. Those babies aren’t going anywhere! I go the idea of this look from a cute storage box that I saw at a boutique a while back. I think it is such a pretty look, and we can all use a little beauty in the things we use every day!
………………………………………………………………………………………
I did something a bit different with the inside of the box. I wanted to make a divider for the roomy interior, so I cut a piece of foam core board to just a hair over 6-inches by 2-3/4-inches high. I then cut and scored a piece of white cardstock that could go up and over three sides of the foam core.
………………………………………………………………………………………
After adhering them together I had a divider that looked as though it had originally come with the box!
………………………………………………………………………………………
The great thing about this divider is that it fits snugly enough that it will separate the contents securely, so there is no need for adhesive.
………………………………………………………………………………………
This means you can move the divider according to number of recipe cards you have and to suit your needs. In this particular one, I placed the section dividers & recipes in the front, and then had room in the back for extra recipe cards and a pen to fill them out. Everything in it’s place, neat & tidy!
………………………………………………………………………………………
The only thing left now is the section dividers! There are nine subtitle section divider stamps in this set (see list in photo). They all coordinate with a 1-3/8 inch circle punch, making them easy to use. When adhering the circular tabs in place, be sure to hold one up to the box to make sure that you do not place it in such a fashion that it may be too tall for the box.
………………………………………………………………………………………
Here is the final ensemble. For packaging your special gift, you can
wrap each individual utensil in crisp white tissue and insert them
along with the recipe box in a pretty gift bag or basket! I think this
is such a personal and memorable gift that any recipient would be so
appreciative of! …………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Do you enjoy cooking? Or know someone who does? How would you utilize this set and coordinating product?
Let me know your thoughts and you could win Recipe Box & Recipe Box Label stamp sets, along with a set of our exclusive recipe cards and egg box to store them in!

This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been meaning to put together a bunch of the ‘family’ recipes my Grandma used to cook for all of my cousins who keep getting married 🙂
Crafty Math Chick says
I guess there was at least ONE benefit of not being able to sleep this evening.
I LOVE to cook and bake! And although my recipes are far from organized, I’d MUCH rather create a beautiful box like this, with a starter recipe or two, for a friend who recently got married.
REALLY excited about the new teal color too! I LOVE the 10th – 15th now!!
Best Wishes,
Meredith

I love to cook and, like you, have a huge collection of cook books and recipes. I’ve been thinking a lot about how best to arrange my favorite for me (I have similar complaints about “prepackaged” recipe cards)SO, I’m really LOVING this. Perfect timing. Clever, beautiful design. The color is yummy–and it matches my kitchen!
Plus, since family and friends often ask for my recipes, so I can seen lots of ways to put these stamps to use!
Sara Spencer says
I LOVE to cook and bake. Perhaps even more than stamping *GASP*!!! =) This would be such a great way to combine the two things I love to do. I hope I win!!!!

I love this set and the egg box as a recipe box is AWESOME! Anything that helps me get organized is a must have, but it makes it fun as well! I LOVE to cook and collect many cookbooks. I would love to gather all of my favorite recipes in one place so I know right where to find them. This is a great idea for that. I also like the idea of putting a recipe with each utensil as a gift idea.
KarenY says
I actually prefer eating the goodies more than cooking the goodies. This would be a great set to use when giving away recipes to friends and coworkers. And I LOVE the colors! thanks!
Marty says
Looks awesome and amazing! I would love to win. I need to get organized with my recipes!
Jessica F says
I am in awe! This has got to be the best ideas ever! I love to cook and have tons of recipes in a pile that I dig through and need to get organized.
Cynde says
Oh Nicole I love this set! I already know what I would do with it! I would make up cards with Family favorites and things we have enjoyed tradition wise, or that my son really liked. I would enclose all the extras to add to the few I would fill out. I would then give it to my darling daughter-in-law along with a card so she knows it was sent with love and that it was some of her husbands favorites from the past, with lots of cards for her and his favorites together. I think that would be a great gift for her. (not too over the top mother-in-law-ish, I hope!)
As always Nichole you always have the greatest supplies and stamps at Paper Trey Ink!
Thanks so much…..Cynde

I love to collect recipes but find that
I have several systems for saving them and no central organized space to keep
them. I like how you could tailor this

Congratulations on another sure hit! I love your stamp set and recipe box idea. I do confess combining your other stamp sets with cute kid stamps to make cards and crafts. I just know I’ll be doing it again with this set. I’ll try to add baked/cooking images on the recipe cards and (plan to) laminate the cards when they’re filled up – to protect them from stains. Thanks for another thrilling countdown!!

I can’t wait to get this set! I keep procrastinating when it comes to organizing my recipes. This would be perfect! And I can’t wait to use the gift set idea for a shower.

Charlene Austin (Willow01) says
Oh Nichole you have done it now! This is amazing. I do enjoy cooking but I tell my husband I would enjoy it more with a renovated kitchen and a 6′ granite kitchen island. Ha! My current recipe book is a wire note book that the recipes are glued or taped to and falling out every which way. I am so excited to get myself organized and get that mess cleaned up!! Very fun! Oh and only 9 more sleeps before I am Florida bound!!
Teri says
I need a new system too and this looks fabulous!
Dana Klinkner says
Oh my word I’m freaking out – this is such an amazing set – I LOVE it! You have thought of every little detail to make it organized and adaptable to each recipe – I love it!!! I can see using it in a recipe scrapbook too – one that holds favorite family recipes. Or how about for a recipe swap at a mom’s group or a cookie recipe swap at Christmastime. Ohhhh, the possibilities are endless – i’m SO excited to see all of this set. Thank you Nicole!!! 🙂
Peg says
I just recently donated over 2,000 cookbooks to local libraries in an effort to downsize my collection. I have found that the recipes that I prefer to make again and again, and share, are those that are handwritten and handed down from family and friends. I have organized, and re-organized my recipes many times over the years, searching for a way to get all of the ingredients and instructions to fit on various sizes of cards in a simple and organized fashion. I’m excited about your new set, Nichole, and I’m looking forward to using it personally and creating gifts for others. For starters, I could fill a recipe box with menus and recipes for holidays and special occasions….with special memories (and maybe a photo or two)!
Thanks for openly sharing your creative projects and ideas. You are a generous artist and genuine inspiration to everyone.

Nichole,
The gift set is absolutely FABULOUS!! I’m in love with the color, the idea, whole sha-bang. 🙂 Wow! Awesome!

I am in love with this recipe set. I am always asked for certain recipes from friends. It would be great to already have several of my “regularly requested” recipes stamped and written so I could just hand them out when asked. We are doing a cookie exchange at my church this Christmas. I will definitely be making recipe cards for everyone using this set! I can’t wait for the 15th to get here.
buzzy says
I am fascinated with this concept. I have always liked having hand written recipes but am often frustrated by not having enough room on the standard sized card and box.
I can see utilizing these for family gifts, wedding showers, house warming gifts, etc. I may start now and collect some family recipes to do a few in a more masculine feel for my nephews.
Alessandra Loiacono says
I L-O-V-E-I-T!!!! I love, love, love cooking and this set totally fit my needs because I can never find a set that has EVERYTHING!!!! I am soooo excited!!! I would definately make a Christmas gift for my family with my all times family favorite recipes and I would put on a bowl with some utensils, mitt and an ingredient for one of the recipes… Wrap on a cellophane and make a beautiful tag!! At least I would love to get one of these… Thank you!!!
Amanda says
I think even my husband is going to love this set. He’s always asking me to get my recipes organized so he can answer the “What do you want for dinner?” question. With this I might actually be able to get it done.
Susy says
Oh Nicole this is divine. As well as using it for gifts it would be so handy for our home too. Three of my four sons enjoy cooking and we have recipes scribbled on everything from scraps of notepad paper to the backs of magazines. As well as this there is the problem that lots have of having lots of recipe books but each only containg a few favs. so glad you came up with this.
Eveline van Heijst says
I love cooking and baking. Especially when company is coming. I’m always on the lookout for recipes. I tear them from magazines, I print them from the Internet, I find them on blogs.
I like the recipe box and the recipe cards you made. That color you used is fabulous.
Eveline.

My best friend is getting married in May and she loves to cook. This would be a great set for her and we could give her recipes at her bridal shower! I can’t wait for it!
Ann Lind says
I love to bake and do a lot of home canning spagetti sauce, canned beans, and lots of different jams. The recipe cards are so much more functional than the standard size and the box is so pretty. It would make a wonderful bridal shower gift and all the guests could bring their favorite recipes to put in the box. I love to have the name of the person who gave me the recipe on the card. We have been married for 42 years so looking through my recipes is like a trip down memory lane. Ann Lind
Jen says
That is just so cleaver!
Cindy says
I am always copying recipes for people. Co-workers and friends know I love to cook from scratch and after a gathering they often ask for a recipe. I have often thought how neat it would be to give a gift of a set of my favorite recipes. I also have a small collection of very special recipes handed down to me by grandmas, Aunts and special friends. It would be so neat to make a special set of these for my own family members to carry on these special recipes and memories.
Lynn says
WOW! I have needed to do something about organizing my recipes for years! This is just what I need to get me going!
Robb_eeie says
I’ve always wanted to duplicate a box full of recipes from my Grandmother, for myself and my sister-in law. Some of the recipes are at least 80+ years old and are fading with each passing year. Just holding them and reading my Grandmother’s writing brings her brightly back to my memory and heart; she was such a huge role model in my life growing up 🙂
This would be the perfect kit to get this family pass along done :0)
Christine says
This set was amazing, and the recipe-box was a great idea for Christmas! I know of at least five persons in my closest family that would really appreciate this recipe-box as a gift! Awesome!

I love the idea of being able to have personalized space for the ingredients and instructions–that’s the main reason I don’t have recipe cards, because I can’t stand the rigidity of them. Great idea!
Emma M says
WOW!!! This is so unbelieveably beautiful and versitile. I would love to start a recipies box now so that in the future I won’t have an enourmous mess like my Mum had a few years back! (I was recruited to help!)
It would be fantastic to give as a gift to someone leaving home and starting out! I LOVE IT!
Felicia says
Wow you have completely outdone yourself! This is AMAZING! I can’t wait to order it next week. My moms been bugging me for recipe cards now I know what to do!

THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL!! – much classier than my scaffy (broken) black plastic index card box. I love cooking and am blessed with friends who are kind enough to ask for recipes, this would be such a delightful way to present them with the recipe ( along with the “it’s really easy – you know I don’t do hard !” phrase !!) Thanks for the opportunity, looking forward to the rest of the unveilings !!
Lisa says
This looks fantastic! I can’t wait to either win this (hint hint!) or buy it myself.
Great ideas!
Kristie says
Oh, this is just perfect! I love to cook and *inherited* my Grandma’s box of cut out recipes and bits of paper when she got too old & frail to cook anymore. For ages I’ve been trying to find the perfect way to transfer all of these treasures into a cohesive system and now you’ve gone and solved all my problems!!!! Then once I’ve transfered all the recipes I can keep the originals in the old metal tin she had them stored in as a treasure for future generations without the risk of spilling stuff all over them. You are just brilliant!!!
Jo Goodman says
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for years to have a real recipe box – waiting for one that I could love and I love this one! No more plastic bin of recipe cards for me!
Jennifer Love says
Oh WOW! This is AWESOME! I’m in loooooooove with recipes and recipe boxes. Cannot WAIT to try this system!

Tara says
Oh my goodness Nichole! You’ve done it again! I love this set and what you have done. I have been wanting to put together a recipe box/album for some time with our family’s favorite recipe’s in it and make a second one to put away for my 10 year old son, who loves to cook along with me. Now, I have no excuse! I love the simplicity and the color and the beauty of your idea. I’ve already got my list ready to go for the 15th for my first party!

This is a beautiful set. I am the baker in the family, and have finally reached the point where I have a handful of “go to” recipes that I am hoping to pass down to my children. I never had that from my mother or grandmother, so I hope my children would like to have that from me.

Thank you so much Nichole for creating the perfect recipe set. Now I can make my cards to suit the needs of the recipe. I am living far away from my family and my husband’s family and one way I can feel closer to them (when I am desperately homesick) is by collecting our moms’ recipes and making a dish with smells and flavors of our home-sweet-home.
Instant gratification !!!
Your set can deliver the perfect method of collecting the recipes methodically.

My kids are little but I’d love to start a recipe box for each of them, adding recipes of their favorite foods through the years. Great job on this set!
Anouk says
What a brilliant idea! I see so many possibilities. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
Kellie says
This is an outstanding set! I love to cook, too. However, I actually spend more time collecting recipes (that are all over the place) than actually cooking 🙂 I’m always in a quandary over wedding gifts, too. Especially when I don’t know the couple all that well. This is a prefect wedding gift idea!!!
Joan E. says
I love to bake. This would be so cool to organize all my recipes. What a nice present to make for a bridal shower. I’ve been replacing my kitchen utensils with stainless and they are the best. Thanks.
Mary B says
Since my youngest is graduating from high school this year, I’m realizing more and more that my kids will soon be setting up their own homes. Writing down old family recipes of things that my mother and MIL make will be a great way to keep alive the meals that my kids love, but probably don’t know how to make for themselves. It’s amazing how every project is so completely thought through on how it coordinates with other products! Thanks for the chance to win this awesome prize!
Julie says

What a fabulous gift this would make!! I personally am not much of a cook (but only because I never know what to make!), although I do have several recipes I’ve been meaning to organize. I’d definitely use this set for that and also to store recipes from my MIL, who is an AMAZING cook! Thanks so much for the inspiration, Nichole!!
Kim Getchel says
I really like this, it would be neat to actually get organized with recipes, instead of a drawer full of papers. My kids are grown, but might be something to start for my six grandkids. You always think of the neatest things!!!
Rita says
LOVE to cook! When I got married, I didn’t even know how to boil an egg. Twenty years has past and now I consider myself a pretty awesome cook, although side dishes are still a challenge for me. Oh my goodness Nichole! What a brilliant design – start to finish! I really used to love to cook for my family, but when life became so busy, we seemed to have lost that time to be together. Now that I have a grandson, we are starting up again and I couldn’t be happier!!
Jan S. says

And then the possibilities for gifts is just endless! You have done it again, Nicole, with a wonderful winner!! Thanks so much, Jan.
Molly B says
OH my gosh Nichole this is great. My husband is the REAL cook in this family. He love to cook and have it come out nice and have everyone love it. He will sit and flip through all of his cookbooks to come up with a perfect recipe and then cook it up perfectly. I would love to take all of his favorite recipes from all of the books and magazines and put them in one place for him to access easily. Then he could also keep track of the little changes that he makes to each recipe with out marking up his books. I’m very excited now that you have gotten my brain working this morning. Thanks for all of the great products and inspiration. -Molly B.
Wendy says
Oh. My. Goodness.

I used to not like to cook or bake. But for some reason, I like to do that now. Maybe it’s because I’m not as busy running around & “volunteering” as I used to be since we moved to a different state this summer. This is just a WONDERFUL gift idea!! I can’t wait until I need a wedding present or a bridal shower present!! You are just a wonderful inspiration!!!
Lisa K in TX says

Tracy Harp says
This is awesome!! Cooking and baking may be my first loves and I enjoy combining it with stamping. I made labels for all my canning jars this year and can’t wait to share them at Christmas. I love the flexibility to the cards, genius!
Sandy O says
Nichole, this is just fantastic! And why wouldn’t it be. You are so creative and design stamps with such versatility that they can be utilized in every aspect of ones life.
I also have recipes stored in the fashion you have described. I envelopes and all kinds of recipe organizer books since I gave up on recipe cards years ago (for exactly the same reason you were frustrated!) Books are bulky and hard to keep on a work station when someone (hmm,,,, wonder who, LOL) takes up the whole area with ingredients and cooking tools! And I don’t like that they are “pre-organized” with titles and amount of pages in each section.
I can hardly wait to make these for myself and my daughter, whose husband love to cook with her! Isn’t she the luckiest girl ;o)
Sandy O
Casey Melton says
This set is wonderful, and the gift ensemble you created is beautiful. I, too, enjoy cooking (and baking!) and love collecting recipes. This would be the perfect set to help me organize all of the loose recipes I have floating around!

Wow! Awesome first day!
I think these would work great in my plan to make a recipe box for my family, this box would contain all our family favorites that are served year after year at family functions.
Leigh Ann Baird says
A few years ago I asked my mother to write down her recipes. This was a laborous task as most of them were in her head and she doesn’t measure. My original intent was to make a family cookbook for me and my siblings so we wouldn’t lose her recipes. What a wonderful gift it would be to present my siblings with a beautifully decorated recipe box containing our mother’s recipes. Thank you for this inspiration!
Karen M says
This is so beautiful, Nichole. My daughter is getting married soon, and I think this will make a great gift. It’s the perfect way to hand down all her favorite recipes.
Victoria says
Wow this is an awesome idea, I just love that you can make it fit your recipe not squeeze your recipe onto a traditional card. Lauren’s post gave us more great ideas.
This would be great for the Christmas cookies exchange!
Love it!
Angela says
I have a few very good friends that love to cook like I love to paper craft. They dream about recipe combinations and menus and setting a table the same way I think about color combinations, paper and gift ideas. While I don’t share their specific love, we have the best time together because I know how they feel, even though the passion is different. This would be the perfect give to celebrate the things that both of us love.
Once again, all you have to do is read through this post, take in the detail and the words, and study the images to know that you truly love what you do. Thank you for sharing your passion.
Erica says
I LOVE to cook and bake it is so relaxing. I have a recipe binder that I use for all my recipes and this set would be great for personalizing that. Right now its a little boring and could use some creative help. Thanks for desiging a recipe set Nichole!

I’m thinking of all the wonderful wedding showerd I could make this for. My daughters are in college and finally in a position to cook for themselves. They NEED the family recipies. Although it’s a great brides gift, for the mom to pass on the family favorites, I’ll be sending my girls off to their first apartments armed with the comforts of home. I would love to be able to present those recipes in such a classy manner.
Anette Eakins says
Oh wow! I love the “roomy” recipe cards!!! I always run out of room on regular recipe cards. This set is awesome. I’ve been wanting to make recipe boxes for family members as gifts with family recipes and this would be perfect! Wedding present, shower present, teacher present(filled with a recipe from each student), the list goes on and on.

Yes, I love to cook, bake, canning, making jams and jellies-the whole thing! I would love to win this set and will use it personally and for gifts. I always give gifts of this kind to new brides. I also am known as the chicken and noodle lady as I make chicken and noodles (homemade noodles and canned chicken that we do ourselves…I say “we” cuz DH does the butchering Ü), mashed potatoes, fresh loaf of bread and a dessert and take to shut ins, new mom’s, or just because.
Susanna says
LOL — I would love to make this exact project for my three best friends who share Supper Club with me. Truthfully, I’d get one done, love it and keep it! I guess I should order an extra box!!!!!

I am definitely more of a wannabe cook, than an actual one, but that hasn’t stopped me from hoarding tons of recipes in every form (clippings, scribblings on the back of envelopes etc). This is a wonderful way to organize them in a creative papercrafting way. Love it! Congratulations on what looks to be another awesome release.
Kerry J. says

I have been putting off a project that I am hoping to get done by the end of October. You see, my inherited all of my grandmother- in- laws recipes and I have wanted to copy them and put them in an organized fashion for her other granddaughters and now I can get the set and I will have my project under way. The reason I want to finish my the end of Oct. is that would have been their 75th wedding anniversary.
Tami Kreps says
Awesome gift idea!! I like the recipe cards and how you can make them different. I keep my recipes in a 3 ring binder that I altered but the recipes inside are just the cut-outs from books and newspapers so the inside doesn’t look so great. This would be a good way to organize all that. I cant wait to get them!
Melissa says
Love this idea and stamp set! Organizing my recipes has been one of the projects on my to-do list that never seems to get done. Thank you for creating this stamp set and for making it look so classy!

Robyn, Maine, USA says
Thank you Nichole and Team! How fun this set is going to be….I would spin this set to be used as a address file too! A future co-ordinating set maybe? Ocean Tides….Beautiful!
Kim says
I probably love baking more than cooking (although that’s probably because I usually have two little ones hanging on my legs while I’m trying to cook! LOL!) but I do enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.
I would put the recipe box is very good use, organizing my piles of cooking magazines, and random recipes that are lying all over my kitchen! 😉
Beautiful project!
Becky says
Wow! That’s about all I can say! This will be perfect fot helping me organize my mess of a kitchen. I am looking forward to seeing the set and cards on the 15th… I love baking and cooking too and the thought that I could make sets of recipes as gifts for people is very exciting..My husband used to bake and he passed away and I get requests all the time for his recipes..so he would be honored to have them presented as a gift!
Thank you for the creative thinking!

Wow! You never cease to amaze me with your ideas! First of all, I love how you can customize the recipe cards. Second, I love the recipe box you designed. You do an amazing job!
Allison Cope says
Wow! I just love the thought that you have put into this whole set Nichole! I enjoy cooking but would love to save all those “mom made” recipes and I think this set would be a wonderful way to do that. I think I’d also make a set for my sister and my friend that loves to bake! Very creative set!! Awesome…. you never fail to amaze me!
lisa bauer says
I know that this is a must have set – I also have a collection of recipes from over the years out of magazines, newspapers as well as many hard cover cookbooks, but the most valuable recipes I have are from a cookbook my mother had put together. I use this book on a daily basis and needless to say it looks like it…I would love to put together a box for my daughter to keep the family recipes going.
Jennie says
Oh this would be awesome for a family project at Thanksgiving. Since everyone will be together this year it would be wonderful to have everyone write down a favorite recipe to finally have a family recipe collection. I hope I win!
Marie says
What a GORGEOUS project!! I love the colors you used, how perfectly you altered the box, and that stamp is just PERFECT for recipes!! I really like how it will lay on it’s side in the box with the title still showing at the “top”. It’s awesome!! As for how I would use it – I would use it as you did, and maybe even take one that is decorated at the top as yours is and turn it into a pull-out element of a card that the recipient can keep. Great stuff!!!
sally says
LOVE IT! I hope to make holiday gifts from recipes my grandmother gave me before she passed away. THis will make it such a easy process and create such wonderful keepsakes. Can’t wait until the 15th!
Ginny Schleich says
Oh my gosh, Nicole! You are incredible! I can’t wait to get these stamps. It would be great to win them, but if not, they are on my list already! I am trying to branch out my cooking skills-trying new things and different things. I too have been collecting recipes-they’re everywhere and this would be the perfect way to get myself organized in the kitchen. I can think of few friends that can use a gift like this also.
Heidi Yaek says
This set is a definite must for me with all my recipes like you I may have to have many boxes. This is an excellent gift idea as I have two sons just moving off on their own who constantly call me for their favorite recipes. Hey mom how do you make that sausage gravy I like or how about them peanut butter and jelly cookies maybe you could later include an ease of preparation rating.
Libby says
this is PERFECT! Ive been trying to think of how to create a recipe box rather than a book as a gift to my roomate for our new apartment < 3 gorgeous
Kat says
I. love. love. love. this. This has been on my project list for SO long and NOW i must complete it….I love to cook. And, now am assembling my own recipe box. I love my mom’s box wiht all the memories and hope to have our own someday. thanks for this great set!
Mindy says
I also enjoy cooking, but would love to give one to each of my sisters and mother with recipes that were my grandmothers as a wonderful christmas present!
Vanessa says
To be perfectly honest, when I saw the sneek peak, I thought that was a set I probably wouldn’t use. Then after I see your recipe box, you have me absolutley sold. I can just think of all the gifts that could be made and how I coud update my shabby recipe box sitting in my kitchen.
Gerri K says
Nichole,
This recipe box is beautiful. It’s almost eerie because my sister just asked me to make her one for Christmas. And this is the exact color of her kitchen. This is perfect!! Can’t wait for the 15th to see all of your sets this month. Thanks for the chance to win.

I love to cook and bake but I am no natural! I use recipes all the time, I even handmade cookbooks last year at my office for a funraiser but I just can’t seem to get mine all together! This would be perfect for me! PS. love the new color! 🙂

Marni Levett says
What a great set! I’d LOVE to use this for a Bridal Shower! I think I’d ask everyone to bring their favorite recipes and then have them use the stamps and transfer the recipe to the cards. The box would already be decorated to match! FABULOUS!
Gina says
Amazing! The recipe cards are clever, clever, clever. And the idea of tying them to utensils…I was having an “OMG is that cute!” attack.
Laurie G says
What a fantastic set. I am also loving those recipe cards. The whole horizontal thing never worked for me either. I love that you can label ingredients and instructions where ever you need to place it. I can’t wait to get this set. (It would be even better to win it 😉

Sam says
After several attempts at recipes gone mad boxes, this is perfect, even for an old lady. My daughter will love getting this for her birthday, to say nothing of my granddaughters. My current recipe boxs are gallon baggies, what a mess.
Wendy W. says
What a fabulous idea!!! I have two drawers in my kitchen that have recipes scattered throughout!! This would be AWESOME!! Wonderful idea, Nicole!!
Dana V. (*danavee* on SCS) says
How awesome! I always include recipe cards in bridal shower invitations, so that at the shower I can make a little cookbook for the bride with all the recipes from her guests. What a fabulous presentation this would be! You’ve done it again! Thanks for the chance to win!
Vivian says
What a fabulous idea! I have a drawer overflowing with saved recipes that are on napkins, paper towels, torn sacks, etc. that hopefully will now be neatly organized. I love the idea of being able to put the headings where they are needed and not have to try and cram information in a too small spot.
Deborah Long says
Wow, what an awesome concept! I love it! This is a “must have” for everyone who likes to cook. It’s not only beautiful, it’s functional and fills a real need. Way to go Nichole!
April says
I have waited so long for something like this to be available! I know I would use this set all the time! Thanks for your creativity and innovation!
Priscilla Heistad says
I love this new set and your recipe box is just beautiful! I always coordinate a recipe book/box gift for the bride-to-be from her family and his family at every bridal shower. It makes a lovely gift and now with your new set I can personalize it even better. Thanks for this versatile addition.
Jennifer Runge says
Baking and Cooking are what relax me after a long day. Having something so beautiful to pull my creations from is outstanding. What a wonderful idea – and the gift giving potential is even better.
Tina says
Oh my gosh, this is fabulous. What a great time for this. I always make homemade gifts of food for the holidays and this will be the perfect way to present those goodies.
Philomena says
I LOVE cooking and am loving this set. I really like to share my love of cooking with friends and family, especially since many of my friends are now done with college and moving in to thier very own houses with no recipes and no cooking utensils! I plan to use this recipe set almost exactly as you have. My sister-in-law is moving out on her own and I had planned to give her papmpered chef items for Christmas and now she will get that AND a recipe box, recipe cards, and some yummy recipes too!!!
Wendy says
Nichole, This is such a wonderful idea and you have truly thought of everything! AND I have to say that I think that your new color, Ocean Tides, wins my favorite color vote! I love it!
Jessica says
Oh my gosh! I am in love with every detail of this! I’m in the process of moving, and as I’m packing things up I’m finding stacks of printed out recipes and random magazine clippings all over the place! I told myself that as soon as I move and get settled in I have got to find a better system and this is it!!
Natalie says
Once again you have come up with an amazing stamp set and the perfect project to go with it. I started some recipe boxes for family last year but haven’t finished them yet because I did not like the stamp sets that were available. No excuses now, I will definitely have to have this set!
Bridget says
Wow Nichole..this is beautiful!! You always seem to amaze me!! I’m looking forward to creating recipe cards for all my mommy friends…I enjoy finding simple, easy and healthy recipes for my growing family and would love to create a fun and unique ensemble to share my recipes with them!!
Anya says
I love to cook, but never seem to have enough time or ideas. This set would be a great way to add some organization to my cooking and hopefully allow me to be a bit more creative!
Tabby says
What a great set! I love that you can customize the ingredients space and instruction space. This would be great for Christmas gifts for several people I know. I love the fact that the set coordinates with the egg box!
Aimee says
This looks really great! I like how you gave thought to actual recipes. So many recipe card stamps aren’t actually practical for real recipes, but your version looks so useful. However, I have to admit to being a little confused about what actually comes in the stamp set – it looks like there are two stamps sets, plus the recipe cards themselves? But, that’s a minor point and I know all will be explained soon enough! Beautiful project! I’m so thankful you share your wonderful contributions this way. I feel like my money is well spent – I actually USE all the stamp sets I buy from PTI!
shalvi says
hi
i never leave comments, but this set speaks to me so well, combining my love of crafting with my love of cooking.
i love your box design as well, one of my favorite colors.

Regan D'Agostino says
wow- I see a bridal shower gift- when I got married, all the people at my shower shared a recepie and put it in a box..mine was nowhere as nice as this though. This stamp set would be perfect for that!!!
Lizzie Jones says
My husband and I love to cook together, but our favorite recipes aren’t very organized. We spend half of our prep time looking for the recipe we are hoping to make! A set like this would give me just the right kick in the pants to finally organize our recipes and make them a little more “chef friendly.” Thanks for creating such a useful set.
Mindy says
I love to cook and love collecting recipes! I would make one of these for myself! But of course it’s the perfect gift for newlyweds or a housewarming. Hallelujah for more room on the cards!
Lisa G. says
When I saw this I immediately thought of making something like this for my sisters for a gift. I have alot of recipes from my grandmother and mother and would love to share them with my sisters. Making a personalized recipe box with all these treasured recipes would be a gift they would treasure for a lift time and could past it down to their children. thanks for the great inspiration!
lauren says
Ooooh, I would use it to copy some family recipes from my mother! Then I would copy them for family and friends along with baked goods for Christmas presents. I love that you can customize it for the number of ingredients!
Ketha says
It seems to me that the kitchen is the central most important room in any home…it certainly is in mine. I love cooking, creating, making different recipes for my family and friends. I have my mother’s recipes that I treasure so much. A few years back, I compiled these plus mine and both grandmother’s recipes into a book for each of my three children. I wish I had this set then…it would have added so much to the total project. I, too, have an extensive collection of cookbooks, from all parts of the country, classes of people and just plain good home cooking. Thanks for designing this set and adding it to the collection of stamps to choose from…it will be on my list.
Mandy Kirk says
Oh wow I love it and love that it fits into the egg boxes. Can’t wait to see more ideas!!
Mandy K
Dana says
Oh my. I’m drooling over how incredible this is Nichole! As a former caterer and an avid chef, my recipes could sure use a little sprucing up and some major organization overhaul! You were so clever to divide the box up with the foamboard…I like to use a specific pen when I copy out my recipes and it would be a perfect place to keep it. I can see my recipe box being used for generations if it looked this good!
Thank you once again for your genius talent.
Tracey A. says
Nichole, you are amazing! What an incredibly beautiful creation!!! I have been looking to organize my recipes for the longest time and these stamp sets, cards and fabulous box idea will be absolutely perfect! Not to mention the gift ideas that can be created! Thank you so much for sharing your talents and providing such great inspiration!!
Amy says
With the holidays coming up, it’s definitely time for more cooking and baking for me. I love this set, such a cute idea!
Rosemary Dennis says
In all the clever ideas that you have come up with, this must be the most clever! Your system makes so much sense!

Thanks for the thought that goes into your designs, Nichole
Carrie says
You talked about using them as part of a gift for a bridal shower. What if you used them as an invite like Laruen did. You could also mail them in the bridal invite and then make a recipe box like you and Laruen did or you could lamite them and but them on a binder clip so they could be hung on a hook in the kitchen easily accessabile.
Sorry for the run ons and misspelled words I’m in a hurry today!
Thanks for the chance to win! It would awesmoe!
KellyMB says
This is perfect! This would be a wonderful gift filled with family recipes.

this is absolutely stunning and such a clever and ingenious idea for a stamp/card set!! i do love to cook even though cooking doesn’t always love me 🙂 the results don’t always turn out great, but i love to try!
Patricia Honc says
This is a gorgeous set and very clever! My recipe box is similiar to yours, stuff is everywhere. What a beautiful way to be organized and look good at the same time! I love to cook, especially in the fall and winter. Having everyone enjoy the food is the best part!
Lana D says
This is a great set for anyone who cooks (which is not me) and anyone who doesn’t (that would be me). I love your creations.
Allison says
What a unique approach to recipe organization! A couple of years ago I swore off recipe boxes in favor of binders, but Papertrey is making me rethink that choice!
Allison
Alyssa says
I love to cook! I used to subscribe to a few cooking magazines and take recipes from them, change things around, delete flavors I didn’t like and add my own. Chasing a one year old around the house, I don’t feel like I have as much time for that anymore – I mean come on! I have to have time to stamp! :o) Thanks for the chance!! Your project is amazing!
Jennifer Speanburg says
I can’t wait to order this set. I love to make handmade gifts for my in-laws, and a recipe set would be perfect!! Thank you so much for such a fantastic product!!
Lesa says
This set is so great. I have so many recipes scattered around and this will be a good way to get a handle on them. I haven’t ordered any of the egg boxes before but I plan to order several this time (if they don’t sell out before I get a chance). These will make wonderful gifts for people at Christmas. Also my son and his girlfriend are talking the “M” word so I will start working on a recipe box gift to give them when that day gets here. Thanks for listening to your groupies request for a set like this.
Danielle says
Wow Nichole, you never cease to amaze me with your wonderful projects! I love that you covered the box with Mod Podge to keep it easy to clean! The colors and design on this box are beautiful!
Tracey Cuccia says
Cooking – actually baking is one of my favorite things to do when I find some down time! Everyone is happy when there are fresh baked treats to eat 😉 This is AWESOME Nichole – I even have a future bride in mind for a set just like this… and I’m lovin’ that new color! gorgeous. I was just thinking I’d love some ‘shades’, as this looks like it will coordinate well with Aqua mist…mmmmm
Thanks for the opportunity!
Holly says
Wow, this is very original. I love all the little recipe card stamps, so you can write it out however long you need it to be, then stamp the appropriate label. Very very cool. I love that you took the time to think this out completely, and make it so useable.
Michelle Nadraszky says
I love to cook! especially bake! This would look so sweet on my kitchen counter much better than the black binder I put everything in & than put it in the cupboard, it would be so nice to see this on my counter everyday! Thanks for sharing!
Jennifer W says
Oh my gosh! I HAVE to have this! I can clean up the pile of recipes UNDER my recipe box. I can’t wait to see the full set. Awesome!
Courtney says
I can’t wait to give this as a gift (or make one for myself ;)), how gorgeous!
Amy says
Great Ideas, Nichole! I really like your new orientation of the lines on the recipe cards – much more practical. Thanks for the tip on lining up multiple captions for the recipe cards – I likely would have stamped one at a time instead. Great gift idea, too!
Joan B says
I wish you would make/sell a DVD set with all tutorials. Or perhaps do a book of your designs. This is just beautifully made and thought through. Your work is just first rate. Goodbye Martha, Hello Nicole!
Bee says
WAOW!!… I love cooking and just like you I have clipped recipes and cookbooks etc…all over the place. I have been brainstorming for a long time about how to reorganize everything, especially the handwritten family recipes…
Your set is beautiful and I’m in LOVE with that new color “Ocean Tides” you just introduced. I love that (a PaperTrey Ink trademark!) it is so versatile! 🙂
What would (will!?) I do with a set like that? Reorganize and sort my recipes for starters. Then, a project I have at heart, is to make a recipe box for my daughter. She’s only 7 1/2 now LOL! but she loves to cook and I am already thinking about the day that she leaves the nest to be on her own, and I want her to take some family recipes with her, to have recipes passed down to me by my Mom and my Grandmother, that she can one day pass down to her own kids. It would be fun to start this project with her, as she is still a child, so that it will also be a childhood memory for her: her own recipe box that she slowly filled up with things she helped prepare over the years.♥
As you can see I am very excited about this set! ;-D …
iris daviduk says
absolutely Love this idea… I can lots of use for gifts and just for me….
Kacey says
Call me selfish, but first I would use this to make something for myself. I cut/print out tons of recipes, especially now that we are trying to eat healthier. My recipes aren’t in any order right now, just shoved inside a recipe book. After my box is done, I would definitely use it to make some gifts for Christmas and also for birthdays for the moms in my MOPS group. They would love it! Beautiful box and love the new color too!
Heather B. says
WOW! This set is perfect. The vertical approach of the recipe cards appeals to my love of lists and also how my brain likes to arrange facts! Being able to customize the cards is such an AWESOME idea! Congratulations on another winner of a stamp set!
Thanks for the chance to win!

This is a great set! I would definitly use this for myself to organize my recipes, but i think it would be great for wedding gifts, too.
Michelle says
This is absolutely brilliant! thank you thank you thank you!

For years I have been telling myself that I need to organize my recipes in one place for easy access. Right now I have two binders filled with recipes ripped out of magazines, cut out from newspapers, and scribbled on paper scraps. I also have two recipe boxes with things tucked here and there. My goal is to weed out the ones that I never use and organize the rest in one place for easy acess. After reading your blog today I am super excited to order your new set and get to work. I also enjoy making gifts for those I love so the many cooks in our family will be receiving a new recipe box as well. I plan on making a few for my mother-in-law so that she can fill them with our favorite family recipes to pass on to her grandchildren. I know that it will be a treasured keepsake for all of us since many of our favorite memories are those of us sitting around her table being fed with love.
Nicki Lundeen says
I love to cook. My dad is visiting and I have been trying dishes out on him, and he is loving them. (My mom passed away last year, so he visits each year). I have been trying to write out some of the recipes for him to take home. I love to write up a bunch of recipes I have that I know he would love, however, he doesn’t have anywhere to keep them in his little place. This would be a great gift for him.
annheidel says
This is so cool! I can tell that a lot of thought and planning went into this! I love the thought of being able to customize my recipe box to match my kitchen. 🙂 I’ve always been a bit disappointed in other recipe sets for many of the same reasons you mentioned. Looks like you solved all those problems and created something super classy and practical in the process. I hope you do add more options in the future. I have so many recipes that I have more categories in my recipe collection. (like cookies, cakes, candy, beef, poultry, etc) It’s easier for me to find a certain recipe that way. Anyway, this new collection is perfect for gifts and for my own kitchen! And you know, those cards would also work for card “recipes”, like a card sketch with measurements. I can totally see a cute box filled with those for a newbie stamper! 🙂
Hope Jones says
I LOVE, LOVE this new set!!! This would be so perfect to give to family members at maybe a family reunion!!! thanks so much!!

Oh my good gravy! You just blow the roof off of the stamping industry. This is just an incredible set, I love your project, and the new color is just beautiful. I already have so many ideas. Who determines how many hours are in a day? I think they need to add a few for us stampers!

Tracy says
Wow- this is a great set. I like to cook, but I usually wing it a little by the end- lots of room on these cards to add what ingredients I replaced with what… and how it turned out… because zucchini does not always equal pumpkin, no matter how many choc chips you add….
Tracy

Brilliant!! I love cooking and recipes and this is just perfect! LOVE everything you have done here!
Stefanie (ssummerer) says
I am so excited about this Nichole! I have a ton of cookbooks with post-it notes sticking out to mark our favorite recipes. My husband always complains that he’d like to have them all in one place instead of having to remember which cookbook to grab. I think it would be a fun project to transfer all of our favorite recipes to your system. The long recipe cards are awesome. Can’t wait until the 15th!
Sarah Vrolyk says
Nichole, this set is AMAZING. I think this is my favorite thing you have ever designed. GENIUS! Hope you are doing well! 🙂

Jean in NH says
What a wonderful idea! As someone who has a stuffed binder and manila envelopes crammed with favorites, I can see this putting my cooking life in “apple pie” order!
MeShellaBella says
Hello Nichole!
This set would be GREAT for a bridal shower gift! Have everyone that’s attending send you a few of their favorite recipes a few weeks before the shower, and then you can have them all filled in by shower time, and that’s like a “group gift”! I like it when everyone can give a little bit to a gift like that….the bride-to-be will always remember her favorite friends & family when she opens this box!
Pam says
My son is engaged to be married and this is a great idea to put together for a shower gift for my future daughter-in-law. My son has a few favorite dishes that I make just for him. Wouldn’t it be special to include a little story with each recipe! His absolutely favorite meal is quiche! When he was about 10 years old he filled out a survey at summer camp which asked for suggestions for foods to be served the next year. He responed with “keysh”! I’ve always wondered if they figured out what he meant!
Tabitha A. says
Nicole I am over the moon with excitement!!!
These would make wonderful Christmas gifts and I love that you used the PTI egg box!
Thank you for creating this. My mom loves to collect recipes, and of course cook them, so I will for sure be making something special for her!
carrie Miller says
what an awesome idea! i love it…i have been trying to find a better way, and i think this is it!
Karen says
This is so beautiful. I would love to make this for my neighbor and friend Sherry – she is a great cook AND a fellow paper crafter. And I would definitely make one for myself as well. I have all these recipes every where that need to be corralled into something as wonderful as this box. Thank you for the gorgeous idea!
Sandra says
WOW!! What a beautiful recipe box!! I would love to win this. It could actually help me get organized. That’s what I want to be when I grow up … organized.
snarflemarfle says
I love this! It’s a great gift idea for the recent college grad!
Linda w says
This set just might make me start to write down those creative meals I come up with that I always forget to write down. So that when I want to create a particular meal again, I could just go to my box and the recipe would be there instead of trying to remember just how I did create that dinner masterpiece. Who knows, a certain recipe might just get handed down for generations to come.
Devon says
Oh how wonderful. I literally open my recipe cupboard and everything falls down on me, I’ve got hundreds of scrap peices of paper and clippings all stuffed here and there. This looks like a good project for me.
karen says
I will use this set to write all the family recipes and give them to my newly married daughter. One question, are the cards lined front and back or just front? Thanks for an amazing set.
StephG says
Wow, Nichole! This is great! I love the new recipe cards — so versatile!
I mostly collect recipes and kitchen gadgets, but I have a list of friends and family members who will be getting customized recipe boxes and cards for Christmas this year.
Thank you for a great set!!
Dawn Burnworth (flowergal36) says
This is incredible. I would use this as Christmas gifts for my daughters. They are all away from home at college for the first time. I would love to make them recipes that I have had and prepared for them while they were growing up. I have old recipes that were handed down to me. What a special gift in my own handwriting. Love this idea. Really great job Nicole.

I love to COOK, and so does my mother. Recently she went back home where she grew up in Ohio to spend some time with family and found some of my great, great grandmothers recipes. They are ones that have been passed down through the generations and say things like a smidgen or dash of this and that. My mom would really like to make copies of all these recipes and give them to all my brothers’ wives for Christmas. This set would work beautifully for this idea.
Once again you have amazed us with your awesome talents. Thank you for sharing.

You’ve managed to combine two of my favorite activities – stamping and cooking – in one stamp set! I can’t wait to work on getting my recipes more organized with this set. Great job!
Dawn Nikol says
Holy Cannoli, Batman!! I’ve been *dying* for my own recipe box, but could never find anything “acceptable”. This is AMAZING!!!
Great work everybody, can’t wait until I get mine!!!
Suzanne says
I love this set! I have several different recipe boxes and cookbooks that I’ve put together over time, but there is no consistency to the organization. I think this set will finally give me the tools and flexibility to organize all my recipes in a great way. I have a precious daughter-in-law and now a granddaughter that I can begin making recipe boxes for with our family favorites! Thanks so much for the great ideas.
Justine says
Well I don’t need to look any further for Christmas gifts. This will even be an amazing gift for my 22 & 19 year old daughters to start collecting and saving MOM’s (that’s ME) secret recipe’s…….. Thank you so much Nichole………….
Lucelis says
I love to cook, when I got married one of my aunt gave me as shower gift a recipe book made by her, with all my favorite family recipes, it was handwritten and sue even made little drawings by hand for some of the instructions; I love my recipe book. Since then I have allways thougth that this is a wonderfull gift for a dauther, niece or dauther in law with your son favorite recipes; this set would be wonderfull for this
Rene S. says
My mom loves to cook and bakes many things for her church (festivals, bake sales, and the like). It would be great to have a set like this to help her “spice up” her donated items!
Cat says
i am ALWAYS so impressed with PTIs releases and this set is no exception. i love to create so i’m always looking for ways to make personalized gifts [there’s only so many card sets i can give away :)]. since the next generation in my family is at the wedding age, i can’t WAIT to make a similar gift for one of my nieces.
Elizabeth Knehans says
Wow! Your recipe box is beautiful. How can you not love cooking with a resource like that! This new system is exactly what I need to get my recipe box organized. Awesome!
Kris says
Nichole! How awesome! I can totally see some awesome recipe boxes in my christmas gift making future!
Dana J says
WOW! There are already 350 comments!! This is an awesome set (and fab tutorial)! I have a little sister who loves to cook but doesn’t have a lot of recipes. This would be a great Christmas gift for her!
Stefanie says
I am sort of a failure at cooking, but I am actually pretty good at baking. Go figure. Love the set and can’t wait to play.
Ashley says
I love this set! I have been wanting to organize my recipes and now I have a great way to do it. I can think of several people that would love this for a gift too. This set is a must have for me!
Samantha says
I enjoy cooking and especially trying new recipes. I spend hours with my cooking magazines especially Food & Wine. I might have to make myself a pretty box to replace my handy plastic index card holder.
Alisa says
This is great. I have been on the prowl for a recipe set, but haven’t been able to find one that I really liked. I thought this idea would be so fun. We have so many recipes that we use just for the holidays that have been passed down for generations. I thought it would be a fun idea to put those together in a box, decorated for Christmas, and then make coordinating cards to go with them to write down some of the traditions passed down from generations. That way new members of the family would have the old traditions, the recipes and could add their new traditions. Wouldn’t that be a fun Christmas present for a new sister-in-law? Thanks Nichole. You are amazing. =)
Margaret Brown says
Oh my goodness! This set is SO AWESOME and not only can I use it for my own kitchen but what a great and personal gift to give somebody. This will be a must this month (along with the new color) 🙂

Genious! I love this! Hope to win it, but will purchase it for sure!
Julie says
This is awesome. My aunt would love it, if I made her one of these, actually two of my aunts would they both love to cook and are great cooks. Hmmmmm, I might just have to purchase the stuff to make one, I mean two. 🙂
Cindy Culpepper says
What a great idea!! I too love and collect recipes but have a terrible time organizing them!! I also have trouble getting them to fit on those little cards!! You have wonderful ideas!!
Nicki says
Ooh, I love this set already! I really enjoy cooking for my family and would want to make these for myself, but they would make wonderful Christmas presents also. It’s such a great way to get organized! You always do such wonderful projects and this is no exception. I’m so excited to have another great stamp set! Thank you, Nichole!
Steph says
I don’t enjoy cooking very much. However, with this new set, cards, and box I might change my mind. I haven’t ever made a recipe box of my own, because I could never find the right cards to use. Without a “go to” recipe box, I spend a lot of time searching and testing new recipes. A chore I don’t really like to do. Now I won’t have to search and test the recipes all the time. I can write down the ones that are keepers and place them in the box. When it’s time to plan the weekly meals, I can simply go to my recipe box, pick a few and and write a grocery list. I see more cooking in my future now.;)
Brenda Z says
I am SOOOOOO excited about this set – I’ve been looking for a recipe set but just hadn’t found the *right* one…until now!!! I am so appreciative of how much thought went into the design of the set and the coordinating recipe cards. Great job!!!
Sandra B. says
I have been looking for a stamp set just like this! You’ve thought of everything! I have trouble with the recipe cards that you buy at stores not having enough space to write everything or they just don’t have the titles you would prefer on them. I like how everything is customizable with the set you created! Love the lines on your recipe cards going the other way. These are going to be great gifts for friends and family for the holidays!
Amy Buechler says
Well Done Nichole! This could be so fun to use in a stamping/recipe swap. Getting everyone together to create their recipe boxes and then swapping out recipe cards to add favorite recipes to.
Melissa says
WOW! This is beautiful! What a great design and I love the new color! I would definitely give this as a gift for housewarming or weddings- with my favorite recipes already written out. Thanks for sharing!

I do love cooking, and so does my whole family. I saw this set and thought it would be perfect for me since I just got married. I was thinking I could take some of these recipe cards over to my MIL’s house, and she could fill out some of my hubby’s fav. dishes. Also, how wonderful would this set be with “Holiday Treats”, make a batch of cookies and then include the recipe. Great stuff. THanks Nichole
Jenny says
WOW! I love these! I have been wanting to get our recipes organized for over a year now. This is the perfect way to do it.

Just when I think you’ve completely outdone yourself, you do it again and again!! What an amazing idea and great gift idea!!
Laurie says
Beautiful! I remember receiving a recipe box from a friend in high school and I still use it. Great gift and lasts forever.
Steph K says
Very cool, Nichole! I have yet to find a system that works for me and I think this may be the one. Love the vertical recipe card!
Kirsten says
I wish I could say I loved cooking, but I think I more love the idea of cooking. This project could be just the right inspiration, though! Awesome job! 🙂
Amy M. says
I love this. I can never fit all I need to on the front of the recipe card and I hate having to flip back and forth while cooking. I want this for myself and also to gift other people with. Wow!
mary Puskar says
Nicole: You’ve outdone yourself with this one! It’s beautiful! And I think it fills a “niche” in the stamping world for a kitchen recipe set that works well. I’ve seen others but none as practical as this. Great job!

Jennifer Kirk says
This is so exciting! I was definitely hoping for a recipe set in the near future and, as usual, you exceeded my expectations! Thank you!
My husband is a real estate agent and gives out A LOT of housewarming gifts. A set like what you’ve made above would be a perfect closing gift for him. And because they’re stamps, they are customizable. So I can use different colors to suit the personality of the recipient.
Katie Skiff says
That is awesome! I think these would be perfect for this years Christmas gift. Beautiful design Nichole!

Joanne Boys says
I am so excited about this set. I love cooking, and have many friends that do as well. Awesome!
Ferah says
What a neat idea on a traditional concept! This sure beats the various index cards of different sizes and colors I have in a file folder. Can’t wait to see what else you have for this month!
care-in says
I too enjoy cooking and baking. I tend to take desserts when we get together with friends. I cannot buy store bought desserts, I just don’t like them. It is much more enjoyable to make it myself.
While organizing my recipes is a daunting task I like the idea of the utensils and a few new recipes. What cook isn’t looking for new and fresh recipes. I had never thought of giving those as a gift but you’re right, a new set of cooking tools is a nice gift…something you wouldn’t expect but would totally enjoy!
Cheryl Curtis says
I love to cook. One of my favorite past times is reading my cookbooks. I have a whole box of favorite recipes, but they are all loose and scattered. Whether I win this or have to buy it, it is sooo mine!
Cheryl
Tami Brown says
Nicole, this is a beautiful set and I adore the new Ocean Tides color. It reminds me of sea glass – beautiful.
My mind is reeling with the ways you can use this set, but the two that first came to mind are:
1. I am doing a family recipe book for Christmas gifts this year. As my grandparents have started passing, some of my favorite recipes are ones that they make each year. To keep the traditions going I was going to put together a recipe book – but I think I’ll need to make that a recipe box now!!!!
2. I am in Marathon training right now and I am scouring the internet for recipes to have on hand that are healthy and good fuel for my body and I would love to use this set to make a “Sports Recipe box” The recipes from my family are not so healthy!!!
Thanks for all of the inspiring work that you do.
Tami 🙂
Michele T. says
This is so incredibly beautiful! I have been looking for a system to use on my ever-growing recipe collection, and this would be so perfect to use! Thank you for the opportunity to win!
Julie/Rubbernecker says
This is the total package – I love it. I think it would be great to collect recipes from bridal shower guests in advance and compile them all for the bride in this box as a gift. Another hit Nichole – congratulations!
Palominoblu says
I love how we can now customize our gifts! With this new set, I can make several different styles and colours to suit each family member and friend. The part about choosing where to place our stamps is especially interesting to me!
Thank you once again for your fabulous designs, Nichole and- especially!- for sharing them.

Very clever! I can see using this for bridal shower gifts and for making keepsakes for my children. I know how much I treasure my grandmother’s recipes, written in her own handwriting, now that she is gone. My ten year old daughter has already asked me to make her a “cookbook” of recipes that we have made together; for her wedding gift from me!!
Amy Y. says
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me!
Kristyn Sinnott says
Nichole, all your work is clean and so meticulously done. You are always an inspiration to me. Very innovative set and I’m loving the new colors. Can’t wait to see everything you have “cooking”.
Christine says
I absolutely LOVE this! The first one I would make would be for my sister. She is always calling me for recipes that she has either misplaced or would like to have. I also have a stash of recipes either from online or from magazines. What a great way to organize all of the keepers!
Allison Teague says
I love to cook. I haven’t been doing a lot of it lately because my Husband is deployed to Iraq. But he’ll be home in a couple of months and I can’t wait to start cooking for him. He always loves what I fix and appreciates me for doing so. The kids are happy with some microwave mac and cheese and could care less how long Mommy spent in the kitchen. It’s no fun cooking for them. So I’d love to have this recipe set to use and fill the box with old and new recipes, to cook for my Husband when he returns home.

Beautiful! I may finally get my recipes organized!

Lisa Rogers says
Oh my gosh…..OH MY GOSH!!!!
I don’t think I can wait until the 15th for this. What a fantastic gift (for me) this would be….I need a desperately cute box to store my scattered recipes in as well. OH my gosh (wait I said this already) – Yep…way to go again Nichole – you are just so clever & creative!
Andre'a Finch says
I’m not the cook in my house, my 6 year old daughter is. She loves to make anything and always encourages me to make new things. I know she’d love that cute recipe box to put her recipes in.
Kriss says
Wow! I can’t wait to make these for Christmas gifts to “house” all of the favorite family recipes!
Debbie says
Hi Nichole! What an AWESOME set! I LOVE to bake, cooking not so much – I think it’s the chemist side of me – I like following a recipe exactly whereas some cooking involves improvisation. I was in the process of re-vamping my recipe box and I would totally love this set! And I LOVE making gift baskets and your idea is perfect for such things!! Another stamp set that I’m sure you’ll sell out of the first night! 🙂
Jo-elle says
holy mackerel (sp?) – this is awesome! I love the vertical ingredients. LOVE. totally fab gift idea; can think of several people off the top of my head who would adore this gift.
Kristy says
Our family has been discussing the idea of a family recipe book. Your cards and box are so much nicer than a book. I can’t wait to make one and show it to my mom and sisters!
natalie wilson says
Nichole, I need this set! I love to bake and give personalize gifts. I was planning to make recipe scrapbooks for the women in our family for Christmas. I am taking all of our family recipes and organizing them for the women. There are some family favorites of my grandmother’s that I want to keep passsing down. This set would be perfect!
Hillary says
WOW–this is AWESOME! As always, you have thoughtfully designed everything. It will make a wonderful holiday gift! I would use it for bridal showers, Christmas gifts, and high school graduates going off to college. Actually, it would be a wonderful gift for any occasion! Maybe it will help me organize my piles of recipes as well… 🙂
Thanks Nichole!
Jennifer says
Over the past few years I have been making an effort to cook lighter and healthier. I’ve collected quite a few new recipes, but have not had time to sort them out or organize them in any way. Maybe now is my perfect opportunity to do just that! This is such an amazing set, with so much time and thought going into all the details (as usual).
Jennifer Buck says
How excited am I about this release! Everything is just BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for all of this, Nichole! Hope you are having a great day! 🙂
Susan C. in NY says
I like to cook most of the time. Sometimes it’s all about the quickest meal possible with a 9 mo old around, but other times I like to have “gourmet” night with new recipes and even dessert (which we don’t have all the time). Love the new stamp sets for recipes; I could definitely use a new recipe box for myself (I also have too many magazine and computer printout pages). Nice idea about the utensils as a bridal gift–or maybe even for someone going off to college or getting their own place.
Lori says
Beautiful, just beautiful. Yes, we all need beauty in our life and why not be organized at the same time.

My brother in law loves to cook, and he is very sentimental, he would absolutely love me even more, if I created something so special for him and my sister. I am cooking challenged, but I do appreciate good food!

Stephanie says
Wow! What a beautiful idea… I love to cook and try new recipes. I have been planning to make myself a recipe box for soo long… but everyone elses gifts that I make always come first so my recipes are all in a disorganized pile on top of my computer desk! LOL!
Jackie Guadagnolo says
VERY COOL!!! I love the way you designed the recipe card!! This would make a great gift or of course, something to keep! 😉
Diane says
I have been looking for the perfect gift for my nephew, who just bought his first house. This is perfect, especially since I like to give what my family calls unusual presents. (anything handmade is considered unusual in my family) I might ask family members for their favorite recipe to include. Thanks for the idea.
Chris says
You are a true talent. What a wonderful Christmas, Shower, Engagement, New Home, etc., etc. gift!
Yvonne says
What a beautiful recipe box and cards!! WOW! I love to bake way more than I like cooking! This would make such a great wedding shower gift. Or a gift for anyone who cooks!
KaLee says
I like simple, tried and true recipies. I find that the more time a recipe takes, the less likely I am to make it. Unless I love, love, love, love it! I can’t wait to organize my own recipes as well as make cute gifts with this set!
kisha says
Okay, this is so awesome. you really left no stone unturned! I have been wanting to do gather all of my grannies recipes and do something with them and now I see what I’m going to do!!!!
thanks so much for the idea and the time you put into this.
you rock nichole!

I love to cook! I am very excited to see this set coming out and I would defenitly make recipe box gifts for Christmas! My mom especially has been wanting a new recipe box:)
Ally V. says
I love this set!! I fall into the “recipes stored everywhere” category and desperately need some sort of organization. And with your project today, I can imagine making a beautiful gift for someone that would be treasured for years to come. Beautiful!!
Donna H says
Love, Love, Love. I have been toying on how to organize my recipes–especially the favorites that everyone asks for–mini scrapbook type idea. But this project blows that out of the water. Can’t wait to order and start playing. Great idea for Christmas gifts for my daughter-in-laws and my pollyanna gifts. Your creativity astounds me.
Thank you
Jan says
Fabulous recipe box! And, let me tell you, recipe boxes are not that easy to find any more. I did one for my son who was moving out recently (not nearly as cute as this) and had a heck of a time finding a box. Love the size of your cards and how you have thought everything out so well. I think after spending so much time on them I would want to laminate them. So many applications. Do you think the cards are large enough to put a picture of the recipe on as well?
Terri Moore says
I love to bake and cook too and like you my recipes are all over the place as well. I am happy to see something this. I would rather type my recipies than write them though. I would still use the stamps to customize my typed recipe cards though.
laurlynn says
Wow, personalization at it’s best!
diane mcvey says
Wow, that is a really neat set! You truly gave lots of thought to how it should turn out…and you did a marvelous job! I’m sure it’s going to be a “must have” for MANY of us!!! 😀
C Burke says
I love to cook too! Your recipe file is a great storage solution for all of our “loose” recipes. These will make great gifts!
JBS says
OMG, you are in my head! I have recently been try to figure out how I will transfer all my recipes from the scraps, napkins, newspaper pieces, magazine articles, etc. to some kind of order. Eureka! I can’t wait to get started. Thanks.
Shay says
I love to cook and it something my sister and also mother enjoys doing. We actually talk recipes! 🙂 And the happy planning for holidays amongst us three! We are already combing magazines, internet and cookbooks for this year’s Thanksgiving and holiday dinners with much glee.
The first use of this set for me would be a gift to my mother. Yesterday we sat and looked through her old wooden recipe box she bought some 25 years earlier at a garage sale to find a caramel corn recipe for a Halloween party we are hosting later this month. Also in the box was our family’s ice cream recipe along with favorites from my childhood. The recipe box represented so much more than food, but also a link to times past and a relationship weaved through the nourishing and sharing of food. I know my mom would love to have a recipe box and recipe cards that are handmade especially for her.
I also thought what a lovely gift it would be to collect family recipes and give a box with those recipes to each branch of our family one year so we all might have those recipes we fondly recall and then add to them.
I am entirely delighted with Papertrey Ink once again for their innovative and yet heartfelt designs and products!! Thank you!
Helen says
YES!!! Now I can get rid of all the scraps of paper, recipes torn out of magazines, printed of the web and the dogeared cards that I have ‘stored’ in wooden boxes, metal boxes and in photo albums, which I thought was a good system for a while 🙂 Thsnks, Nicole for a SUPER idea! Maybe even a great Holiday gift to give 😉
misse336 says
This would make the perfect wedding shower gift or the perfect gift to fill with passed down favorite family recipes.
Kelly Braund says
I love cooking and have not yet started my own recipe box, so this would be great for me. I’m always forgetting where I found a recipe that we liked because I don’t have somewhere to store them yet!

I absolutely LOVE this idea. I’m like you with boxes and envelopes and folders of recipes that I’m going to organize so that I can try them. I have to admit that I want this system for ME. I also think it would be cool as a gift for my mom so she could organize her recipes (she loves to cook!) in a pretty and yet functional way. I so appreciate your designs and the usefulness of your products. Thanks.

What a fabulous idea! The first thing that popped into my head was Christmas Gift! I would love to be able to make a set of recipe boxes/cards for my two brothers with all of my mothers ‘special’ recipes. What an AMAZING project… How long would you say this took you to put together?
I do LIKE to cook, but I am, sadly, not very good at it… I do get bored preparing the same meals for my family, so I’m always looking for (easy) new recipes!
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the release!
Stephanie says
SO neat! And I’m really intrigued by this new color. Something that I would really like for this collection is more specific labels (instead of entrees I would like fish, poultry, etc.). I also really like the two-sided nature of the cards!
Elizabeth S. says
This so great!! I have trying to figure out how to organize my collection of recipes that I have gathered. I never could find a recipe card that really suited me. This is perfect and I love to cook especially when I see someone enjoy what I cook. Can’t wait to see what else you have coming out.

I love to cook because I love to eat!!! Have recipes laying all over the place–sure do need some organization. Many of my friends are cooks too so we’re all always swapping recipes but only one is a card maker too! Going to Memories in Bloom Monday hoping to see some of your sets. Sure wish they carried all your stuff–I would be in seventh heaven for sure! Then the poor house definitely!

I love to cook! I’m not big fancy cook, but my family enjoys my meals.

This is really practical and beautiful and would make the perfect gift for a bridal shower. As a mother of all boys I can see this would be a perfect gift for future daughter-in-laws of favorite family recipes that a particular son likes.
Tamara says
I can imagine using this set to create bridal shower gifts for many, many years. I’ll never have to wonder what to buy the future bride again. I love it!
Heather Curoe says
My favorite good-bye gifts as a military wife to give and receive are recipes. Not only do you give something you love to make, but they will think of you everytime that they make it. It is a good reminder to stay in touch no matter how often we move! This set will help me make those good-bye gifts for old friends and welcome gifts for new friends!
Dannie Graves says
Wow, you’ve thought of everything with this stamp set and recipe cards. This is definitely something I need to get. Your box is just gorgeous! ~Dannie

Oh My goodness! My recipe CUPBOARDS (plural) are SUCH a disastor area – they need MAJOR work. I have cookbooks galore — tons of them – and cardboard files of loose newspaper clippings, ancient recipes, and well-spattered hand-written directions. My goodness this would be a life-saver 🙂 What a great idea!
Elizabeth Guerra says
I don’t cook very often but I love finding new recipes to try during the holidays. I’ve been wanting to start my own receipe box for awhile. Right now, my favorite recipes are just stored on my computer.

Mrs. L says
I’m all about the food. I would use this to give my family my Grandmothers recipes. She is 93 and still cooks for us when we visit. There are many family recipes that need to be passed down from her and I can see using this to make my Aunt, my sister and my sister-in-law (not to mention myself) a collection of Grams recipes!
Sharron Gregory says

This is, by far, the coolest and most practical recipe stamp set I have ever seen!! I’m chef trained and have always cringed when I had to use those traditional 4×5 recipe cards and end up resorting using a notepad to write my recipes in. Imagine my delight when I saw the recipe cards you designed and my reaction was “FINALLY!!!!” Cannot wait to get my hands on these! You are a true talent!
Candice says

I’ve been looking for the perfect gift for my soon to be sister-in-law…and now I think I found it. I’m thinking I’ll use this and make a special thanksgiving recipe box for my brother and Meg, since this will be their first thanksgiving together as a married couple.
